I just need you to know that I've watched a TON of these tutorials and yours is by far the most comprehensive and thorough explanation for how to do this. I can easily follow your instructions as a complete beginner whose only ever sewn a pillow. Thank you for the time you out into this video.
I haven't sewn a stitch since 1998, and I've completely forgotten how to measure and sew like how I used to. But your detailed instructions and clear step-by-step explanations have made it all come back to me. I get it now! I wish you also have videos on more designs like blouses, big sleeves, and different designs of Nigerian Aso Ebi party outfits. Thank you
I’m a beginner, and Slow person who needs more details on sawing. So far I’ve been watching sawing tutorials and they remind me being in anatomy and physiology class 🥴 I couldn’t understand anything bc the way the teacher way teaching, but as I was watching this video here it helps a lot! I love the ways you break it down in details it helps for sure!
Very detailed but not sure I understand how you came about rhe 3.14 my waist is 31 and half so am I to divide by the same 3.14? What does it stand for ? Thank u ma
I was actually looking for an Edwardian walking skirt when I stumbled on your video. It could have been a how to for how to video instructional videos, your voice was calm and you spoke clearly, you showed the instructions in writing as well as talked us through them, your camera work was appropriately lit and the field of vision was unobstructed. The miniature manakin was a great idea especially where material is expensive and made understanding where to take measurements and how the final garment would look and excellent teaching aid. Well done from an old trainer
OMG, I never understood how to do these skirts properly, but you make it seem so easy and understandable! Even the math doesn’t seem too bad! It’s also really easy to follow along!
Till now I knew only about ½ circle, ¾ circle and full circle skirt, the idea of double circle skirt blows my mind and I love it from first moment. 😻 I did sew one full circle skirt myself, but you made me wanting to make 720° skirt, it definitely lands on my list of things to sew!!! 😊
Omg finally I found a video that showed me how to cut a skirt pattern with less maths and just the way I want my skirt to be after sewing them together. Thank you so much 💓
I am a novice at sewing and after watching so many videos on making the 180 flare skirt yours was the only one that I was able to under and not get lost. Thank you
I’m super new to this whole sewing thing and thought a circle skirt would be the best first project and you made everything so clear to understand! Now I just have to get up the confidence to actually try this project without fear of wasting material! Lol

Thank you so much for watching and for your comment. Yes I would be doing a video soon showing how to sew the skirt. I used the African print cotton fabric for this project but I think other types of fabrics will also work depending on the type of outlook desired.
As promised, here is the video which shows also how sew the skirt; inserting the zip and even pockets as well as the waist band. Hope it helps. th-cam.com/video/RRcKML20RcU/w-d-xo.html

I love this! One question though: I'm not clear how the fabric is folded before you do the 'check the length on the fold'
Thank you. Please confirm which of the skirts you were not clear on the folding.
Hi there! this video was extremely helpful to me. Thank you so much for the step by step guide and also for including all the mathematics...
Why do u divide the waist by 3.14?
Because it is 180 degree flare. You will divide 6.28 by 2 to reduce the flare from 360 to 180 degrees flare
Because its a pie from a circle. π= 3.14
Pi I dodged in sec school..I've met in tailoring😅. Karma well done 😅😊😊
Whaaaoo!! I'm also a beginner I'm so glad to watch you every time I need to cut and saw😂❤
