this is the best skirt sewing video i’ve seen! and i watched a hundred videos, none of which explained so thoroughly yet to the point. i just made the skirt, i made it long skirt instead of short and it’s amazing!! cannot thank you enough ❤️
Duvet covers......pillow cases ......... is no bedding safe in your house ? lol. Your creation is stunning, honestly looks amazing. Thanks for sharing as always Sophie, looking forward to your next video.
Thankyou so much for this tutorial. Ive never made clothes before and alot of people who make tutorials seem to forget how little sence some language makes to those who dont sew. But this really made everything clear and i actually have the confidance to finally try this x
Just seen this and its the most informative tutorial out there! Simple instructions, easy to follow and so inspiring! I have seen other tutorials, and they've all been somewhat difficult to follow. This is so easy, im going to be followijg this from now on. Thank you!
I don't have a use for a skirt, but the instructions for making the pattern was very useful - I'll be using it for making a lampshade for one of my mother's lamps.
The skirt looks fantastic - you can't tell it was ever a duvet cover! This is the exact tutorial I needed, and I'm going to attempt the project this week. I was wondering if you could answer one question: I'm a beginner and have never sewn zippers before. I accidentally bought invisible zippers rather than regular ones. Can I use an invisible zipper in this skirt, and just sew it the exact same way as you did? Or should I buy a regular zipper instead?
Hi! Can you make a tutorial on how to alter the circle skirt with zipper into waistband (garter) ? Because I have skirt here but it's to loose on me and I want it to be highwaisted and fits me :( please help me
Am i stupid or the inner circle calculation doesnt make sense? Radius of a circle =2pi×r so if you divide it by pi you get 2r but you mark it on the paper as 1r so you have it twice the size no? So you should mark 4,75 inches not 9,55
She's solving for the diameter here, not the radius, so that's why she just divided by pi to get 9.55. I can't quite wrap my head around why the diameter is used here rather than the radius, but it appears to be what others are also doing in similar half-circle skirt videos, so it must work.

What a gorgeous piece!
Thank you 😊
very nice tutorial! easy to follow and through!
I liked the look of finished skirt as wel. Looks real classy.
Thank you!
This is so cute.
Very simple but effective. The great thing about this is you can have it as long or short as you like, but also have a narrower or deeper waistband.
I am a beginner and i love you ♥️
You. Made the zipper look sew easy.. now I'm not afraid to try myself..

Why no metric measures? 👎
