One great piece of trivia on that episode is the fireball that Rudeus made. You can see the color shifting over time as the temperature gets hoter, from (coolest) red -> yellow -> """green""" -> blue -> purple (hottest). The idea is that the hotter the fireball gets, the more energy is send out and the wavelength of the light gets shorter and shorter as it carries more energy. But the real cool stuff comes from the green. There is no green here, it goes yellow -> white -> blue. And the reason behind it is the fireball isn't uniform in its temperature. You're not looking at a single lightsource, but at millions of different lightsource that constanly fluctuates in their temperature and so, in the exact color of the light they emit. So what the color you end up seeing, is just the 'average' color of the ball. And when the green color is the dominant wavelenght, because green is in the middle of the visible spectrum, the color you see will have just as much red and yellow as blue and purple. So on average, it's white. This is why there is no green star in the universe, we just see them as white. Our Sun is white for that exact reason.
Also fun fact about that fireball, if orsted hadn't blocked it, it would've killed the rest of the people there, the creator claimed it had the power of a nuke supposedly 😂
I don't think Rudy believes Hitogami when he says he's good. Rather he just let it slide because the man-god helped him get the eye and also helped him save Lilia and Aisha.

The King from the Dragon King Kingdom is the head of state of the Kingdom of Dragon King Kingdom, he is different from the Armored Dragon King Perigius, and they are all different from the Dragon God Orsted, none of them have anything to do with the Dragon King Mountain Range which is a mountain chain filled with flying dragons, or the Dragon God's Hole which is filled with non-flying earth dragons and different from the Red Dragon Mountain... yeah it doesnt get confusing at all.

I think you missed a part when Rudy is talking to Hitogami. He's being very despondent because he thinks he's dead. The usual disgust and feelings of how worthless he used to be, along with thoughts of entitlement from how he was in his previous life are what usually floods his mind when he's in the white space, but this time it's just emptiness because he thought he was dead. He wasn't believing everything Hitogami was saying (evidently from him saying Hitogami was lying) but he didn't care about that at the time. But other than that, I agree about your theory with Hitogami and Orsted. Him putting curses on him would make sense as to why Orsted wants to kill him.
So Jo... I can see you really liked this episode lol. I was excited to see your reaction and how you reacted surpassed my expectations just like the anime episode did in general. Never seen you get so worked up in a video before lol. Now onto the episode. The amount of details they put into this episode was amazing. The pack anime so terrified it ran off a cliff, the fireball changing colors to represent how hot it was (which as far as I know was accurate to how fire changes color in real life), the small details like the dragon gate cracking, showing orsted got hurt by Rudy which RUIJERD of all people couldnt lay a finger on. SO MUCH good stuff. I was wondering if they would gloss over Orsted getting injured or not but they took the moment to focus on it even which is great. Now you gonna see so many donut memes tho lol. Just so much was great about this episode that it surpassed all my expectations! 10/10 indeed.

Found it interesting that the Dragon God doesn't know what caused the displacement incident considering he seems to know everything, it would further back your theory that Hitogami did it if he also doesn't know what he's up to (it was said Hitogami can't see him but not the opposite so that's why I'm using if)
@@FreshestAnime He looked pretty angry when he said that he doesn't know. In my opinion it could mean 2 things. Either he really doesn't know and that makes him mad or he knows but failed to prevent it from happening and that's why he is angry.
i feel like the teleportation disaster was somehow caused by Rudeus and the reason the Dragon God didnt know about it is because Rudeus isnt supposed to exist, thats why he was surprised to run into Ruijerd and Eris. Without the disaster (Which i believe Rudeus caused) Ruijerd and Eris would have never teamed up and even gone to where they met the Dragon God. Thats also why the Dragon God was surprised by how strong Eris is. He knew she had potential but Ruijerd refined her techniques to a level he didnt expect.

I want to tell you the cause of it, but it will result into spoiler. However, the spoiler has nothing to do with the main story, we know the result, but not the cause. The cause is related to completely different characters that will not appear in the main story. I think the author leave the cause for sequel or maybe a side story that will be make into movie much later to connect everything. The cause is so confusing that even if you read the whole Light Novel, most people still not get it or think more explanation will be given out in sequel. Anyway, *spoiler* if you want to read further, it just adds more lore to the story. 80 years in the future, a summon ceremony get to perform to summon a hero in certain country, a young boy get summon into this world by a Miko who can revert time back to 24 hours and she also relive her entire life in a loop at the moment of her dead with all the memories intact. The ceremony is something that completely new to the Miko in this life cycle. The young boy who got summon into this world as a hero has no war knowledge or mentality for it similar to Subaru from Re;Zero, but he changed the life-style of Miko to make her fall in love with him and allows Miko to enjoy life that is much different than all the cycles before. Needless to say, the young boy got force into battle and eventually got capture and beheaded in his first battle and the Miko couldn't get there within 24 hours to revive the young boy. Later the kingdom lost the war while the Miko used all her mana to try to revert back to the day of summoning to change the history. HOWEVER, the Miko tries to search for similar presence as the boy, but the magic trace back to 80 years in the past. A summon circle was about to form, but the will of the world interfere, the clash created a small crack in time and space, a single soul of recently deceased person manage to get through since this person was near the young boy. 10 years later, Rudeus, someone who is not supposed to exist in this world and his interaction with many people in this world open the rift little by little and lead them to different paths. At the 10 years mark, the crack final get big enough and so the Teleportation Incident happens. A young girl get summon into this world, this is the same girl that Rudeus saved and the young boy mentioned earlier is the same young boy with young girl as they are the real target of Truck-kun, not Rudeus.
It was kind of cathartic hearing you pause and tell the people handing out spoilers to shut up. I read the WN years ago, so I mostly know what's going to happen, but it's still annoying as all hell getting reminders of future events. Enjoy the part that's on screen *right now*. I was eating lunch watching this episode & was so immersed that I caught myself having stopped mid chew several times 😂 even if we don't get long fight sequences the quality of them is so good you can't complain
God, if i haven't already read all of the Volumes available in English, i would have binged EVERYTHING in a few days after this episode. Also for Rudeus's last fireball, he was imaginating a fucking nuke in his head. If Orsted didn't blocked/absorbed Rudy's spell, Eris and Ruijerd would have died in the explosion.
during turning point 1 when orsted was first introduced in the light novel he had killed a wyrm with a single attack and when the one wyrm looked at him in the anime it ran away out of fear because of his curse. Also the stone cannon rudeus super charged and shot at rudeus didn't do enough damage to make orsted bleed it gave him a scratch although orsted was surprised noting that stone cannon was an intermediate tier spell and how it was impressive that rudeus harmed him with such a spell. also when orsted impaled rudeus with his hand he said how the man-god is using pawns that can;t even coat themselves in battle aura. Battle aura is what makes swordsman so fast strong and durable its a thin layer of mana that goes around their body greatly increasing their strength when striking and using arts they coat their sword in it to increase its strength. This is what makes eris, paul, ruijerd, and orsted so strong although orsteds is insanely strong much stronger than normal battle aura.
The fact that the Superds' curse is in the lances and it's a curse of fear and hate (like Orsted's curse) means that when Laplace gave them the lances they were affected by each other's curses and started killing thier families because of the fear or hate they felt for each other.
I've been waiting for this episode so much. This simple meeting will not only change the entire STRUCTURE and PLOT of the story, but literally also the GENRE. Such is the nature of "Turning Point (insert trauma level here)" With the psychological trauma it has caused to almost all parties, it's pretty damn clear that... everything's going to change now...

The man god said something important about the dragon god the first time that Rudy met him. You might want to go back and re-watch that scene. Also I don't think Rudy really believed that the man god was all that 'good.'
Just a thing regarding translations, the word in Japanese that is used for demons in this series can also be used for magic, a lot of fan translations used to change between magic or demon for stuff like demon/magic continent, demon/magic race, demon/magic god, etc. So there’s a “magic god” it’s just they didn’t fully represented it in the translations for the anime because it probably would be confusing for the public.

I liked that the show gave us a prologue where Dead End got wiped at the start and then flash backed to the events that led up to it with us viewers at the edge of our seats in anticipation and when it reached the part where Dead End encountered Orsted its as if we the audience were also caught in fear of the Dragon God’s curse of fear…

Thing about that fight... He went easy on all of them, especially Ruijerd. Against Rudeus, he had to take a few more abilities into use because he fully intended to kill him and Rudeus put up resistance, including launching *a nuclear explosion* . Against Eris, he was on his guard, but in the end only needed to use the Water God Style ability Flow against her. Against Ruijerd, he used just enough force to knock him out without the slightest intent of causing permanent damage or death.
Quote from the light novel that they didn't add cause copy right but hilarious all the same "The wound in my chest had closed up completely. To explain why Orsted thought that Paul only had two daugthers and not a son is because Rudy was supposed to be stillborn and therefore technically never exist. But because the MC teleported into Rudy's body and became Rudy himself, Rudy essentially became an impossibility in Orsteds eyes.
@@avishekshrestha4564 long story short; the body Rudeus reincarnated into was supposed to be a stillborn, and so Paul and Zenith was "supposed" to have two daughters but the third child died after he was born... after his death, Rudeus "possessed" the stillborn and as a result Paul and Zenith have a third child (Rudeus) that they weren't originally supposed to have so yeah, Rudeus is an anomaly to say the least
This is, BY FAR, the best episode of any anime I have ever seen, and I've watched a lot of anime. This episode made me fall deeply in love with the world of Mushoku Tensei.

Something related to what you said, as in, expanding on that. Remember the words of Orsted, "Paul should only have two daughters"? and now, after this, check the ending animation again, specifically, the parts with Dead End (Ruijerd, Eris and Rudeus). That'll help you with your theories.
Rudeus has been traveling for approximately 5 years, compared to his previous life that was locked up for 15 years, this time he has been living and having new experiences, that is why little by little he is "growing" as a person.
NOT a spoiler: Just to clarify, the Dragon King doesn't have anything to do with the other Dragon people mentioned in the show like Perugius and Orsted, dragon king is just a title given to all the kings of that Kingdome. The Kingdom of the Dragon King was the japanese/oriental looking place that appeared on the intro for episode 19, they passed through there after disembarking before going to Shirone. And the place they currently are is the Red Dragon mountain range, in the Red Dragon's lower jaw, which is one of the only two points where you can cross to the other side of the mountains.( the other one being Red Dragon's upper jaw) Edit: If you ever read the novels PLEASE do read throughs or something

Rudues final attack was a Thermonuclear spell that he created on the fly. He didnt realize that had it gone off like he was planning it would of killed Eris and Ruijerd. In the LN the Dragon Gate Orsted summoned swallowed the spell but then blew up from excess mana. Slyphie has a Laplace factor which was why her hair is green.
BTW, that purple flame the Rudeus used is basically a nuclear bomb so if the Dragon God didn't counter it Eris and Ruijerd would have died. This isn't a spoiler BTW, its included in the novel but the anime simply didn't explain it.
a little comment on the figth between Orstedt and rudeus. After rudeus got down the first time his lungs were already crushed by orstedt. Thats why he cant use any kind of incantation to heal himself because he literally cant speak. Thats why he used wind magic too just to be able to breath. I think u probably gonna miss that if you havent read the LN
So it was not explained in the fight that well because not everything was a page long monologue from Rudy. So, Orsted ruptures Rudy’s lungs so that he cannot breath or chant, disabling him before the fight even begun. After that, Rudy does chantless casting and Orsted questions why he isn’t healing his lungs. Rudy can only use attack spells chantless because he does not really understand how healing works. Rudy pushes himself away with wind and tries to pump his lungs with air with wind magic. And Orsted only had a scratch after that first stone cannon. The rest is Rudy being donutted as you can see.
*NOT SPOILERS* [ Just details you might have missed about the fight/tragedy ] - Ruijerd and Eris froze up in fear because that is one of the curses the Dragon God Orsted was given where all living beings in that world Fears him even thought they don't know him. - Notice that Nanahoshi is a japanese like name. [ not sure but just noticed it ] and She was not afraid of Orsted even though he has a curse. - Orsted collapsed his lungs cuz he is a mage, without his lungs he isnt able to do the incantations. then he found out he does incantationless magic. - Rudeus pushed air in his lungs and then used the air to push him back to get some distance and probably get out of Orsteds "Anti magic/Nullify Magic". - Rudy CANT use incantationless healing magic, he needs to do incantations for healing. - Rudeus first used the spike/drill stone in his battle with the Pirate in the Wolf Tribe but it's Rudeus first time adding tons of spin and it spinned so hard that it started "Burn/Heat up". - The color change of the flames is the amount of air/fuel/molecules he mixed in to make it hotter and bigger thats why it changed color, it probably went over 7500K celcius or more. - Also note that Rudeus didn't pass out because he lost so much mana, he passed out because of the injury/donut he received, that means he probably have more power he could put in that fire/ attack. NO SPOILERS, just some notes... When they were talking about hunting a dragon Eris thinks that Rudy would be able to manage it. Thats how much she looks up to him. Its been said that Rudy has as much mana as Laplace, what if Rudy's reencarnation has something to do with it. Nanahoshi didnt seem to be afected by Orsted's curse Orsted knew who Eris and Ruijerd were, he even knew about Rudy's sisters. Orsted said that Paul *shouldn't* have a boy and apparently he also didn't know what was behind the teleportation incident (Or he just didn't want to talk). Rudy's demon eye had some trouble when looking at Orstead, maybe thats because of the same curse that prevents Hitogami from knowing his movements
Actually though there are 2 factors as to why rudy has such a massive mana pool, one I will not say since it might be a spoiler, two is that he's been using magic since he was a child, remember the more you use magic the higher your mana pool goes up, and because he was spamming water ball every single day along with learning magic from roxy, his mana pool is incredibly large by this point, not to mention he was also using earth magic to create figurines which took him 100% of his concentration to make sure the mana is properly distributed while making his figurines thereby making his mana pool even more higher.

I have a theory that Sylphy might be connected or related to Laplace some how. He could be a Superd but maybe if he isn't he was always seen as one because of his green hair just like Sylphy, which resulted in him being seen as the demon god. He was cursed and maybe that curse needed certain things to be passed on, with the main one being green hair, so he cursed the entire tribe of Superds with the weapons. The only real reason I think he may be connected to Sylphy is only for the fact that she doesn't seem to be a Superd because she doesn't have the red eye in her forehead, she is the only green haired non Superd we've seen and because we know that her parents don't have green hair like she does. I could be making a massive jump especially because I only thought of this theory while watching his reaction. Also people who know please don't even comment if I'm close in anyway.
You are half right. Following spoiler is just from lore and it connects to Sylphy a little, similar to Bless and Curse Child. *spoiler* Sylphy has Laplace Factor, a seed Laplace spread to small amount of people in preparation for his resurrections in the far future. Laplace Factor appears after Laplace's death. The chance of having Laplace Factor is higher than Bless or Curse and Rudeus is one of them, it gives children with high magic potential and able to increase mana through training before the age of 10. However, like Orsted said, Rudy supposed to not exist in this world because Laplace Factor also has a high chance of stillborn. Rudy is someone who train magic since he was around 1 years old, that's why Rudy able to get such a big mana capacity because if everyone can do it, the world would have lots and lots of Laplace level already. It's also explain why Rudeus is so good with magic just like Sylphy and able to do chantless. It also fill in one of the plot hole from the start that Rudy is so good with magic, then wouldn't every Nobles able to get theirs children to be good at magic as well and be like Laplace?
@@johnwong5317 Spoiler: I think that is not a plot hole. If I am not mistaken, usually the nobles start training up their magic at the age of 10 or up so it probably wont go high anymore. So they think that the mana capacity is determined by birth. I think Orsted said something that even though rudy has Laplace factor, his training and effort gives more impact than Laplace factor. It only gives him mana affinity and high ceiling magic capacity. And given the fact that Julie(zanoba's slave), can make a lot of dolls using her earth magic as the time goes by, proves that Rudy's theory is correct. But I am not saying that julie can have as much as Rudy's mana cause she does'nt have laplace factor.
@@aizwallenstein4238 I talked this over with some people and the key is Chantless to increase mana capacity at noticeable rate. Without chantless, people have to spend time to chant the spell and even with shorten version of the chant, it will still take time. So the amount of spell and mana they can use in 1 hour depend on how long the chant and what type of spell. Most Nobles at below age 10 can only use like Basic spell and you can imagine them trying to increase mana with repeat chanting, most of them would be lazy out or take a while to get theirs mana to empty, but it's only increase a small amount that most probably won't notice or think it won't worth it.

I have to say man your analysis is so interesting to listen to as a LN reader. If you want to continue reading on after the anime, the season will probably end at the end of volume 6 but it is way more worth it to read from the beginning since there is a lot of important worldbuilding information that doesn't really translate to anime format.
So what happen is (I don't think this is a spoiler it explained in episode 9 part 1) when the Demon-Human War happen a few hundreds or thousands years ago, Laplace is the Demon God who gather his allies in the Demon Continent to wage war against the human. Laplace use the Superds to attack the human, first he give them demon Spears which have his own curses. First the Superd refused to use them, they have their own Spear which is their "own soul weapon", but those Demon Spears was the betrayal of Laplace against Superds' loyalty. ----> this lead to the Superds' bad reputations of madness that the curse place on the weapons, they start to hungry for battle. The mere thought of bloodshed brought them joy, they were attacking both allies and foes and were lure home to kill their own family. Ruijerd's son was one of the victim but his son save Ruijerd by giving him his own Spear. This is why Ruijerd as a leader of Superd have such hatred for Laplace.
The reason why rudy's attitude seems changed towards Hitogami is because he thought he was dead, and that what Hitogami was hiding didn't matter to him anymore.
There are some details and interesting tidbits in the LN that didn't get covered in the anime that help make the episode make a bit more since, but over all now you know why I was yelling at a book 6 months ago.

19:18 You don't have to buy it; the story is free in the web novel form. The light novel version includes the illustrations and side stories, but the bulk of the story is rather similar to the web novels. Of course, do buy the LNs to support the author's work.
That's exactly why we buy the volumes, to support the Author's work. Purchasing the source material shows the suits behind the anime that we like it so they keep making more. With that said, Mushoku Tensei will still get animated regardless because that's just part of the authors terms (or so I've heard).
@@FreshestAnime Yup, I guess I was writing it as a sort of a PSA to those who can't afford to buy the light novels, or those who wants to "try before you buy". In some sense, I'm thankful to the author for leaving the WN version up while releasing the LN version as a means for fans to support the author's work. I think he is also one of the few authors who started leaving the WN version online (prior LNs removed their WN version, like SAO), and a lot of authors do that now (Shield Hero, Tensura, Bookworm, etc.). I might be wrong about this though.
I dont think Rudy thought Hitogami is really good, that's why the subtitles contained quotation marks when Rudy replied "good" huh?. Also, 9:24 to 9:55 made me sub. I love the honesty because seriously, the Mushoku light novel fan base is the worst fan base ever when it comes to spoilers. They're just dishing out spoilers in the comments like its something normal. I've never seen anything like it before. Not even in Game of Thrones. This is literally spoiler hell and just a few hours ago while seeing another reactor's comments section I saw a really big spoiler explaining what Laplace is, like wtf. I already got PTSD from the comments section and I vow to never check comments sections again when it comes to Mushoku Tensei which is a shame because its a great anime which deserves more popularity, and it would gain more popularity the more people discuss it in comments sections, but I bet I'm not the only one who has been traumatized by Mushoku comments section. Its just dominated by light novel readers now and its hell for anime-only watchers who really want to go into the anime blind and be surprised about things.

@@panzlithium That was amazing about the MMORPG Ragnarok. You could literally meat raidbosses randomly in certain areas. Instead of the usual "mobs don't chase and stuck around a 5m radius of their location" bullshit everyone is doing now.
One great piece of trivia on that episode is the fireball that Rudeus made.
You can see the color shifting over time as the temperature gets hoter, from (coolest) red -> yellow -> """green""" -> blue -> purple (hottest). The idea is that the hotter the fireball gets, the more energy is send out and the wavelength of the light gets shorter and shorter as it carries more energy.
But the real cool stuff comes from the green. There is no green here, it goes yellow -> white -> blue. And the reason behind it is the fireball isn't uniform in its temperature. You're not looking at a single lightsource, but at millions of different lightsource that constanly fluctuates in their temperature and so, in the exact color of the light they emit. So what the color you end up seeing, is just the 'average' color of the ball. And when the green color is the dominant wavelenght, because green is in the middle of the visible spectrum, the color you see will have just as much red and yellow as blue and purple. So on average, it's white. This is why there is no green star in the universe, we just see them as white. Our Sun is white for that exact reason.
Also fun fact about that fireball, if orsted hadn't blocked it, it would've killed the rest of the people there, the creator claimed it had the power of a nuke supposedly 😂
I don't think Rudy believes Hitogami when he says he's good. Rather he just let it slide because the man-god helped him get the eye and also helped him save Lilia and Aisha.

The King from the Dragon King Kingdom is the head of state of the Kingdom of Dragon King Kingdom, he is different from the Armored Dragon King Perigius, and they are all different from the Dragon God Orsted, none of them have anything to do with the Dragon King Mountain Range which is a mountain chain filled with flying dragons, or the Dragon God's Hole which is filled with non-flying earth dragons and different from the Red Dragon Mountain... yeah it doesnt get confusing at all.

Im honestly surprised you caught on to the Blessed/Cursed children so quickly, they skipped this in the anime but it is mentioned in this volume that they are indeed people whose mana is irregular, whether they are "cursed" or "blessed" really only depends on whether the anomaly is beneficial or harmful. I think you missed a part when Rudy is talking to Hitogami. He's being very despondent because he thinks he's dead. The usual disgust and feelings of how worthless he used to be, along with thoughts of entitlement from how he was in his previous life are what usually floods his mind when he's in the white space, but this time it's just emptiness because he thought he was dead. He wasn't believing everything Hitogami was saying (evidently from him saying Hitogami was lying) but he didn't care about that at the time.
But other than that, I agree about your theory with Hitogami and Orsted. Him putting curses on him would make sense as to why Orsted wants to kill him.
So Jo... I can see you really liked this episode lol. I was excited to see your reaction and how you reacted surpassed my expectations just like the anime episode did in general. Never seen you get so worked up in a video before lol. Now onto the episode. The amount of details they put into this episode was amazing. The pack anime so terrified it ran off a cliff, the fireball changing colors to represent how hot it was (which as far as I know was accurate to how fire changes color in real life), the small details like the dragon gate cracking, showing orsted got hurt by Rudy which RUIJERD of all people couldnt lay a finger on. SO MUCH good stuff. I was wondering if they would gloss over Orsted getting injured or not but they took the moment to focus on it even which is great. Now you gonna see so many donut memes tho lol. Just so much was great about this episode that it surpassed all my expectations! 10/10 indeed.

i feel like the teleportation disaster was somehow caused by Rudeus and the reason the Dragon God didnt know about it is because Rudeus isnt supposed to exist, thats why he was surprised to run into Ruijerd and Eris. Without the disaster (Which i believe Rudeus caused) Ruijerd and Eris would have never teamed up and even gone to where they met the Dragon God. Thats also why the Dragon God was surprised by how strong Eris is. He knew she had potential but Ruijerd refined her techniques to a level he didnt expect.

I want to tell you the cause of it, but it will result into spoiler. However, the spoiler has nothing to do with the main story, we know the result, but not the cause. The cause is related to completely different characters that will not appear in the main story. I think the author leave the cause for sequel or maybe a side story that will be make into movie much later to connect everything.
The cause is so confusing that even if you read the whole Light Novel, most people still not get it or think more explanation will be given out in sequel.
Anyway, *spoiler* if you want to read further, it just adds more lore to the story.
80 years in the future, a summon ceremony get to perform to summon a hero in certain country, a young boy get summon into this world by a Miko who can revert time back to 24 hours and she also relive her entire life in a loop at the moment of her dead with all the memories intact. The ceremony is something that completely new to the Miko in this life cycle.
The young boy who got summon into this world as a hero has no war knowledge or mentality for it similar to Subaru from Re;Zero, but he changed the life-style of Miko to make her fall in love with him and allows Miko to enjoy life that is much different than all the cycles before.
Needless to say, the young boy got force into battle and eventually got capture and beheaded in his first battle and the Miko couldn't get there within 24 hours to revive the young boy. Later the kingdom lost the war while the Miko used all her mana to try to revert back to the day of summoning to change the history.
HOWEVER, the Miko tries to search for similar presence as the boy, but the magic trace back to 80 years in the past.
A summon circle was about to form, but the will of the world interfere, the clash created a small crack in time and space, a single soul of recently deceased person manage to get through since this person was near the young boy.
10 years later, Rudeus, someone who is not supposed to exist in this world and his interaction with many people in this world open the rift little by little and lead them to different paths.
At the 10 years mark, the crack final get big enough and so the Teleportation Incident happens.
A young girl get summon into this world, this is the same girl that Rudeus saved and the young boy mentioned earlier is the same young boy with young girl as they are the real target of Truck-kun, not Rudeus.
It was kind of cathartic hearing you pause and tell the people handing out spoilers to shut up. I read the WN years ago, so I mostly know what's going to happen, but it's still annoying as all hell getting reminders of future events. Enjoy the part that's on screen *right now*. Anyone can go look up any info they want on the wiki if they really want to know spoilers.

God, if i haven't already read all of the Volumes available in English, i would have binged EVERYTHING in a few days after this episode.
Also for Rudeus's last fireball, he was imaginating a fucking nuke in his head. If Orsted didn't blocked/absorbed Rudy's spell, Eris and Ruijerd would have died in the explosion.

during turning point 1 when orsted was first introduced in the light novel he had killed a wyrm with a single attack and when the one wyrm looked at him in the anime it ran away out of fear because of his curse. Also the stone cannon rudeus super charged and shot at rudeus didn't do enough damage to make orsted bleed it gave him a scratch although orsted was surprised noting that stone cannon was an intermediate tier spell and how it was impressive that rudeus harmed him with such a spell. also when orsted impaled rudeus with his hand he said how the man-god is using pawns that can;t even coat themselves in battle aura. Battle aura is what makes swordsman so fast strong and durable its a thin layer of mana that goes around their body greatly increasing their strength when striking and using arts they coat their sword in it to increase its strength. This is what makes eris, paul, ruijerd, and orsted so strong although orsteds is insanely strong much stronger than normal battle aura.

The fact that the Superds' curse is in the lances and it's a curse of fear and hate (like Orsted's curse) means that when Laplace gave them the lances they were affected by each other's curses and started killing thier families because of the fear or hate they felt for each other.
There's a hint in the previous episodes of the anime as to why Rudy didn't heal himself while fighting Orsted.

Just a thing regarding translations, the word in Japanese that is used for demons in this series can also be used for magic, a lot of fan translations used to change between magic or demon for stuff like demon/magic continent, demon/magic race, demon/magic god, etc. So there’s a “magic god” it’s just they didn’t fully represented it in the translations for the anime because it probably would be confusing for the public.

I'm not sure what translation you saw, but when Orsted compared Rudy to Laplace he meant his mana capacity specifically. Other translations said this.
Thing about that fight... He went easy on all of them, especially Ruijerd.
Against Rudeus, he had to take a few more abilities into use because he fully intended to kill him and Rudeus put up resistance, including launching *a nuclear explosion* .
Against Eris, he was on his guard, but in the end only needed to use the Water God Style ability Flow against her.
Against Ruijerd, he used just enough force to knock him out without the slightest intent of causing permanent damage or death.

To explain why Orsted thought that Paul only had two daugthers and not a son is because Rudy was supposed to be stillborn and therefore technically never exist. But because the MC teleported into Rudy's body and became Rudy himself, Rudy essentially became an impossibility in Orsteds eyes.

so yeah, Rudeus is an anomaly to say the least

Rudeus has been traveling for approximately 5 years, compared to his previous life that was locked up for 15 years, this time he has been living and having new experiences, that is why little by little he is "growing" as a person.

Just to clarify, the Dragon King doesn't have anything to do with the other Dragon people mentioned in the show like Perugius and Orsted, dragon king is just a title given to all the kings of that Kingdome. The Kingdom of the Dragon King was the japanese/oriental looking place that appeared on the intro for episode 19, they passed through there after disembarking before going to Shirone. And the place they currently are is the Red Dragon mountain range, in the Red Dragon's lower jaw, which is one of the only two points where you can cross to the other side of the mountains.( the other one being Red Dragon's upper jaw)

Rudues final attack was a Thermonuclear spell that he created on the fly. He didnt realize that had it gone off like he was planning it would of killed Eris and Ruijerd. In the LN the Dragon Gate Orsted summoned swallowed the spell but then blew up from excess mana. Slyphie has a Laplace factor which was why her hair is green.
Watching this episode again still the best one of Mushoku Tensei hopefully turning point 4 will be at the same level of intensity.
BTW, that purple flame the Rudeus used is basically a nuclear bomb so if the Dragon God didn't counter it Eris and Ruijerd would have died. This isn't a spoiler BTW, its included in the novel but the anime simply didn't explain it.
It’s not a nuke he was just thinking of one when he made it. It would likely have been pretty devastating though if it hadn’t been blocked for sure.

a little comment on the figth between Orstedt and rudeus. After rudeus got down the first time his lungs were already crushed by orstedt. Thats why he cant use any kind of incantation to heal himself because he literally cant speak. Thats why he used wind magic too just to be able to breath. I think u probably gonna miss that if you havent read the LN

So it was not explained in the fight that well because not everything was a page long monologue from Rudy. So, Orsted ruptures Rudy’s lungs so that he cannot breath or chant, disabling him before the fight even begun. After that, Rudy does chantless casting and Orsted questions why he isn’t healing his lungs. Rudy can only use attack spells chantless because he does not really understand how healing works. Rudy pushes himself away with wind and tries to pump his lungs with air with wind magic. And Orsted only had a scratch after that first stone cannon. The rest is Rudy being donutted as you can see.

[ Just details you might have missed about the fight/tragedy ]
- Ruijerd and Eris froze up in fear because that is one of the curses the Dragon God Orsted was given where all living beings in that world Fears him even thought they don't know him.
- Notice that Nanahoshi is a japanese like name. [ not sure but just noticed it ] and She was not afraid of Orsted even though he has a curse.
- Orsted collapsed his lungs cuz he is a mage, without his lungs he isnt able to do the incantations. then he found out he does incantationless magic.
- Rudeus pushed air in his lungs and then used the air to push him back to get some distance and probably get out of Orsteds "Anti magic/Nullify Magic".
- Rudy CANT use incantationless healing magic, he needs to do incantations for healing.
- Rudeus first used the spike/drill stone in his battle with the Pirate in the Wolf Tribe but it's Rudeus first time adding tons of spin and it spinned so hard that it started "Burn/Heat up".
- The color change of the flames is the amount of air/fuel/molecules he mixed in to make it hotter and bigger thats why it changed color, it probably went over 7500K celcius or more.
- Also note that Rudeus didn't pass out because he lost so much mana, he passed out because of the injury/donut he received, that means he probably have more power he could put in that fire/ attack. [ Just a thing I noticed aswell ]

Its been said that Rudy has as much mana as Laplace, what if Rudy's reencarnation has something to do with it.
Nanahoshi didnt seem to be afected by Orsted's curse
Orsted knew who Eris and Ruijerd were, he even knew about Rudy's sisters. Orsted said that Paul *shouldn't* have a boy and apparently he also didn't know what was behind the teleportation incident (Or he just didn't want to talk).
Rudy's demon eye had some trouble when looking at Orstead, maybe thats because of the same curse that prevents Hitogami from knowing his movements
Actually though there are 2 factors as to why rudy has such a massive mana pool, one I will not say since it might be a spoiler, two is that he's been using magic since he was a child, remember the more you use magic the higher your mana pool goes up, and because he was spamming water ball every single day along with learning magic from roxy, his mana pool is incredibly large by this point, not to mention he was also using earth magic to create figurines which took him 100% of his concentration to make sure the mana is properly distributed while making his figurines thereby making his mana pool even more higher.

I'm not sure but I think he was told this when he became Orsted's subordinate. Orsted talked about Laplace's past and how he divided into the Demon god and the Technique god. I'm pretty sure he was told by Orsted about the Laplace's factor...I could be wrong
I have a theory that Sylphy might be connected or related to Laplace some how. He could be a Superd but maybe if he isn't he was always seen as one because of his green hair just like Sylphy, which resulted in him being seen as the demon god. He was cursed and maybe that curse needed certain things to be passed on, with the main one being green hair, so he cursed the entire tribe of Superds with the weapons. The only real reason I think he may be connected to Sylphy is only for the fact that she doesn't seem to be a Superd because she doesn't have the red eye in her forehead, she is the only green haired non Superd we've seen and because we know that her parents don't have green hair like she does.
I could be making a massive jump especially because I only thought of this theory while watching his reaction. Also people who know please don't even comment if I'm close in anyway.

Sylphy has Laplace Factor, a seed Laplace spread to small amount of people in preparation for his resurrections in the far future. Laplace Factor appears after Laplace's death.
The chance of having Laplace Factor is higher than Bless or Curse and Rudeus is one of them, it gives children with high magic potential and able to increase mana through training before the age of 10.
However, like Orsted said, Rudy supposed to not exist in this world because Laplace Factor also has a high chance of stillborn. Rudy is someone who train magic since he was around 1 years old, that's why Rudy able to get such a big mana capacity because if everyone can do it, the world would have lots and lots of Laplace level already.
It's also explain why Rudeus is so good with magic just like Sylphy and able to do chantless. It also fill in one of the plot hole from the start that Rudy is so good with magic, then wouldn't every Nobles able to get theirs children to be good at magic as well and be like Laplace?

I think that is not a plot hole. If I am not mistaken, usually the nobles start training up their magic at the age of 10 or up so it probably wont go high anymore. So they think that the mana capacity is determined by birth. I think Orsted said something that even though rudy has Laplace factor, his training and effort gives more impact than Laplace factor. It only gives him mana affinity and high ceiling magic capacity. And given the fact that Julie(zanoba's slave), can make a lot of dolls using her earth magic as the time goes by, proves that Rudy's theory is correct. But I am not saying that julie can have as much as Rudy's mana cause she does'nt have laplace factor.
@@aizwallenstein4238 I talked this over with some people and the key is Chantless to increase mana capacity at noticeable rate.
Without chantless, people have to spend time to chant the spell and even with shorten version of the chant, it will still take time.
So the amount of spell and mana they can use in 1 hour depend on how long the chant and what type of spell.
Most Nobles at below age 10 can only use like Basic spell and you can imagine them trying to increase mana with repeat chanting, most of them would be lazy out or take a while to get theirs mana to empty, but it's only increase a small amount that most probably won't notice or think it won't worth it.

I have to say man your analysis is so interesting to listen to as a LN reader. If you want to continue reading on after the anime, the season will probably end at the end of volume 6 but it is way more worth it to read from the beginning since there is a lot of important worldbuilding information that doesn't really translate to anime format.

So what happen is
(I don't think this is a spoiler it explained in episode 9 part 1)
when the Demon-Human War happen a few hundreds or thousands years ago, Laplace is the Demon God who gather his allies in the Demon Continent to wage war against the human.
Laplace use the Superds to attack the human, first he give them demon Spears which have his own curses. First the Superd refused to use them, they have their own Spear which is their "own soul weapon", but those Demon Spears was the betrayal of Laplace against Superds' loyalty.
----> this lead to the Superds' bad reputations of madness that the curse place on the weapons, they start to hungry for battle. The mere thought of bloodshed brought them joy, they were attacking both allies and foes and were lure home to kill their own family. Ruijerd's son was one of the victim but his son save Ruijerd by giving him his own Spear. This is why Ruijerd as a leader of Superd have such hatred for Laplace.
Only one difference between cursed and blessed child is, make that anomaly trouble or not.
The reason why rudy's attitude seems changed towards Hitogami is because he thought he was dead, and that what Hitogami was hiding didn't matter to him anymore.

19:18 You don't have to buy it; the story is free in the web novel form. The light novel version includes the illustrations and side stories, but the bulk of the story is rather similar to the web novels. Of course, do buy the LNs to support the author's work.
That's exactly why we buy the volumes, to support the Author's work. Purchasing the source material shows the suits behind the anime that we like it so they keep making more. With that said, Mushoku Tensei will still get animated regardless because that's just part of the authors terms (or so I've heard).

In some sense, I'm thankful to the author for leaving the WN version up while releasing the LN version as a means for fans to support the author's work.
I think he is also one of the few authors who started leaving the WN version online (prior LNs removed their WN version, like SAO), and a lot of authors do that now (Shield Hero, Tensura, Bookworm, etc.). I might be wrong about this though.

I dont think Rudy thought Hitogami is really good, that's why the subtitles contained quotation marks when Rudy replied "good" huh?. Also, 9:24 to 9:55 made me sub. I love the honesty because seriously, the Mushoku light novel fan base is the worst fan base ever when it comes to spoilers. They're just dishing out spoilers in the comments like its something normal. I've never seen anything like it before. Not even in Game of Thrones. This is literally spoiler hell and just a few hours ago while seeing another reactor's comments section I saw a really big spoiler explaining what Laplace is, like wtf. I already got PTSD from the comments section and I vow to never check comments sections again when it comes to Mushoku Tensei which is a shame because its a great anime which deserves more popularity, and it would gain more popularity the more people discuss it in comments sections, but I bet I'm not the only one who has been traumatized by Mushoku comments section. Man-God isnt the Human God. When Man-God and the origional Dragon God fought with his dying words Dragon God said that Man-God was not Human God. That somehow somewhere Man-God stole his divinity and place. We still have no idea how this happened or if even the Dragon God was correct but Man-God never refers to himself as the Human God.
