The reason Rudeus spoke to Orsted was because of the events with Paul. Rudeus was too focused on getting Eris home prior to Millis, so learning from his lesson, he's now putting in an effort to learn about the mana disaster and where to find his mom. That's why he asked Orsted about the mana disaster. It should normally be a commendable effort and a sign that Rudeus is growing as a person, but just unluckily happened to meet the wrong person.

That he'd finally find out some info about him. Ofc. that was quite the extreme reaction from Orsted haha Knowing how it will end up, it's easy to be extra critical of Rudeus being chatty. Side note: Imo it's a better experience with skipping the 50sec spoiler section at the start. Not only it distracts from the ep. leading up to it, as it is always in the back of your mind (or front). It in fact makes the whole ordeal less tense, because you know what is going to happen. The wonderful directing, sound work and art are what make the encounter tense. I understand precisely why it is put in, but I quite dislike that.

Rudeus was talking to Orsted because he sensed that Orsted knew something and Orsted himself was being cordial with Ruijerd and Eris despite them being hostile towards him(Due to the curse), and he promised himself to ask questions so that he can avoid another Paul moment, He responded to Hitogami being mentioned because Orsted was the first person to ever mention him and Rudeus was always suspicious of the Man-God and wanted to know more about him.
Some notes: 1) In the novel, they were riding a wagon or cart, not walking. Not really important in the grand scheme of things, but it’s another instance of them animating certain things to make a point- in this case, the suicidal ox. 2) Rudy’s purple fireball was a literal last ditch attack that would have vaporized everything. It was basically a handheld nuke. One of the things they don’t really talk about in the anime is how Rudy is capable of doing a lot of his elemental spells. I’m short, it’s due to his scientific understanding gained in his previous life. It’s also why he can’t use voiceless healing; he has no medical knowledge. This is also how he beat out Roxy’s Cumulonimbus. While Roxy had to actively maintain her spell, Rudeus did it automatically by manipulating pressure systems and temperature changes. 3) Note that even though Rudy framed his thinking about Eris during his death was very ‘Rudy’, it shows who he actually cares about. 4) Ruijerd acknowledges Eris as a warrior here, but not because of her skill. 5) There are only a couple paths through the dragon mountains, known as the upper and lower jaws. These are the only paths relatively safe for travel due to the red dragon packs. Red Dragons are pack hunters, and while they can fly, it’s more of a flying squirrel sort of flight rather than a bird style flight. They have to jump from a certain height to get any lift, they are unable to get the speed they need on their own. You can actually see this in Turning Point One, after the dragon attacks Orsted. 6) Dragon God Orsted is the man on the Stella. He’s also the guy Hitogami references. The Stell, however, only lists titles, not names. Anybody could be any of those ranks. 7) Orsted caused Rudy to cough up blood by crushing his lungs. He didn’t transmute him. He did this because he figured Rudy was a mage and made the assumption that he had to recite incantations in order to fight. It was strategic. This is why Rudy hit himself with the air spell, to fill his lungs back up. You’ll see that he uses magic practically in other ways too, like supporting himself with an earth pillar. A lot of other things I want to mention are not really relatable without spoilers, so they’ll have to wait. You may find yourself pretty uncomfortable next episode. Also, catch the trailer for season two if you want, but, there are potential spoilers there. Be wary. Also: Roo-ee-zherd. The J sound isn’t silent.

Heh. You learn why he recognized her next episode. It’s not super clear so I’ll explain then if you missed it. Orsted didn’t blow off the fireball. He sucked it into his wyrmgate. He blew off his high speed rock bullet. But, it did damage him. Glad you caught how Rudy felt about the Orsted loneliness thing.
Oh yes. The eye thing. He can see ahead, but the further ahead he sees, the more possible futures he sees, this is why he could beat Eris on the beach, but couldn’t beat Ruijerd: Ruijerd had more possible avenues to attack due to experience. Orsted far, far, far outclassed Ruijerd. Also, being able to see doesn’t necessarily mean being able to do anything about it, re: Gallus Cleaner.

Orsted is too fast and unpredictable for Rudy to get a read on... so he just sees the vibrations that indicate movement can take place in any direction... Rudy become paralyzed in place because every time he looked forward 1 second into the future he was already getting impaled or having his lungs/ribs crushed.
Basically every future rudy sees and 'moves' orsted would do something else to counter it, thats why rudy grabs all different parts of his body before orsted crushed his lungs because orsted kept changing hia targets. Theres a neat bit that you might have missed but rudy uses wind magic to reinflate his lungs. Then since orsted was countering his fire, rudy cast wind with his left hand while casing fire with his right. Orsteds magic cancelling spell could only work on one hand.
If Rudeus has a weakness, its definitely that he isn't good at "reading the room", extremely common words when talking about this episode. A lot of his perviness extends from that. The scene here has a lot in common with when he met Ruijerd for the first time. Everyone told him to fear the Superd and Eris freaked the hell out, just like here. And Ruijerd has been nothing but a reliable companion, mentor and friend.
Fun thing to note is that Ruijerd is around a low Emperor level(second highest tier) in terms of skill and the strongest person we knew of in the show so far. This fight really helps demonstrate the grand canyon sized gap between the two upper tiers of emperor and god. My second point is PURE pedantry. It's a Yak not an Ox.

So I get to the end of the video and I’m typing my notes, when suddenly I hear: “WHY ARE YOU TALKING SO MUCH? SHUT UP!” And for a split second I thought you were talking to me. Almost cried for a minute there. 😂
12:40 As you soon find out later in this episode, Orsted has a curse that makes all things native to that world, with Rudy being an exception because of his reincarnation. His curse is what caused the ox to jump off the cliff. It’s also why Ruijerd and Eris were so terrified before they even saw Orsted. They didn’t sense him, the curse was just already affecting them.
Rudeus is learning not to take everything at face value, but also trusting his instincts. Something about Orsted compelled Rudeus to ask him questions, and something about the first time he met the man god compelled him not to trust him. Rudeus not originally a being from this world affects him differently. It's gotta have something to do with the fact that he's not from this world. And I think his instincts are part of that too. That's the neat thing about this story, small things like that can actually matter in this series because it's so well written.
So you'll have to look forward to the next Ep. I will explain some extra details from the light novel. The wind magic was to manually force air into his lungs after Orsted ruined them so he could survive a little bit longer to fight back. He launches himself backwards with wind as he guessed that disrupt magic had a range limit. On the fire magic note as you saw it was insanely powerful but the light novel tell us exactly what Rudeus was envisioning when doing it. He was thinking of Nuclear bombs and so the magic used all his mana to try and recreate a nuke. Whether Orsted could tank an actual hit from that I don't know. On a final note Rudeus can't use magic to heal himself without incantations as unlike fire, wind, earth etc he doesn't understand how healing magic works. If he was a doctor in his past life then maybe he could perform incantation-less healing magic.

You'll notice that Rudy does desperate things when he's in desperate situations, for example when he was about to flood the entire city of Rikarisu and kill so many people just to stop one horse guy for tattle telling.
the drill he shot was also the equivalent of an anti-tank rifle, you can hear the pieces clattering to the ground and they sound like extremely dense ceramic or metal.
CUT CONTENT The anime kinda messed up this scene(or was gigabrain). Basically, in the novels, from Rudeus's perspective, Orsted was a pretty chill while saying a crap ton of exposition. Specifically, he was all buddy buddy with Ruijerd. That's why Rudeus went asked about the Fittoa incident.

The magic eye works by probability, when Orsted was on guard (walking, or standing still), he had an extremely wide array of things he could _possibly_ do, thus overloading the eye with too many probabilities But once Orsted committed to an attack, it became _extremely probable,_ so Rudeus could see it, even if the movement itself was beyond Rudeus' perception speed Thats why Rudeus could see Orsted defeating Ruijerd, despite they moving beyond his reaction time, _because Ruijerd's defeat was 100% probable_ It will happen a lot, the eye fluctuates from giving accurate info, to giving multiple images, depending on the probability of the outcome Also, the first scene was made to have the viewers feel the effect of a "secondhand aura of fear," because in the novel Orsted just shows up, and Rudeus finds him weird, but Orsted is friendly towards Ruijerd, and even deducted Ruijerd found two teleported kids and is bringing them home, so Rudeus assumed Orsted couldnt be that bad, if Orsted liked Ruijerd
Couple things. None of which are spoilers. The dragon God listed on the list of the seven powers is The dragon God orsted. They're one and the same. Also, what happened to rudeus when orested "hit" his stomach and he coughed up blood was twofold. First through his demon eye Rudeus Saw several different things happen to him at once, his eyes gouged out, his throat crushed, him being impaled, so on and so forth. No matter what move he thought of making or stead was going to counter attack him lethally. Which is why you see him pat himself down because it happens so fast, that he wasn't sure it didn't happen. Secondly what actually happened was orstead crushed his lungs with magic upon impact . This is why you see him barely breathing shortly after and why he had to blow air back into his critically damaged lungs in order to stay conscious long enough to continue the fight.

First off, it's okay to pause during the video since you are analyzing the episodes. I've seen the show already and have my thoughts, so it's entertaining to see reactor's do so and make theories (similar and different) since there's so much to unpack rather than make faces. On to the show, I couldn't help noticing that Orstead never landed a killing blow to Rui and Eris unlike Rudeus whom he targeted from the start. My theory is that they may be instrumental or maybe pawns(?) to his plans to kill the Man-God, hence the "yet" and noting his aggressiveness the moment Rudy mentioned knowing him. Who do you think the bad guy is here between the Man-God and Orstead? Have you developed a fear of the title "turning point" yet?

I'm pretty sure he crushed Rudy's rib cage into his lungs. The air magic he first used was him forcing air into his busted lungs to breath and push his rib cage back out. At least, that's what it always looked like to me.
34:55 You’re gonna be stuck on that for a while. While we get hints at it, it’s never fully explained until the epilogue of the final novel in the series. Which means we still have 2 or 3 seasons(because it’s rumored that season 2 will be longer than season 1) until we find out.

*SPOILER* Hadn't thought of this until now, but the fact that Nanahoshi doesn't hate/fear Orsted kinda implies that she is the same as Rudeus in that she's from another world.
This episode was great but some details are more explained in the novels. When Rudy is first learning magic he has to remember things from his past to make the magic work better. When Rudy first fights kidnappers he can only shoot small stones at them. But the anime makes it to he twisted stones. In the novel he learns that if he shapes them like bullets he can make them fly faster and more accurately. When he ends up in the demon country he learns that twisting the bullets makes them faster. In this fight he remember how hot fire can get and that's why the color changes from red to purple. The bluer the flame the higher the temperature. That is something he remembers from his old life and the little schooling he had. Same goes for most of his tricks from his journey. He remembers how to improve on it by knowledge of his old world but it doesn't happen until he remembers it. His dolls where garbage when he first made them now they are almost perfect. The Roxy figure was great because it took him forever to make. The following ones took less time and he improved his skills on them. He never stopped working hard.
Rudy's eye of foresight was kind of a hindrance here, because Orsted could attack him so many ways he saw himself being hit all over which is why he patted himself down. Orsted then punched him collapsing his lungs to keep him from casting since he could tell he was a mage. He was shocked when Rudy used incantation less magic since he hadn't seen it before. Orsted actually tries it himself when he creates the wyrmgate and finds that it is actually very mana inefficient but Rudy is just stupidly broken in terms of his mana reserves due to his thousands of hours training and expanding it when he was young. That's why he thought Rudy might have as much mana as LaPlace. As we've established Rudy can't heal without the incantation so to keep himself conscious he used wind magic to force air into his lungs, but it was just a temporary measure. That purple fireball was absolutely insane and could easily have killed everyone there from the heat and radiation had Orsted not used the gate to send it away.
You guys are getting upset over Rudeuss actions with the benefit of hindsight. The anime spoils at the very beginning of the episode, I have no idea why. It's simply happens in the light novel, no spoilers. You're not supposed to know that Rudy would be in mortal danger for speaking to the dragon God
I'm sure that some people will try to explain the behavior of somebody in the end of the upcoming episode. I would advise to only post about it after they've watched episode 23. 🤐
Eris is all happy having reached lv 70, and then suddenly they are steamrolled by a lv 1529 dude. This episode shows Eris hasn't grown a single bit since we met her. Just as in episode 5, she makes a promise to Rudeus (not speak loudly then, not punch him if he pinched her now) and immediately proceeds to break that promise. (joking) Spoiler alert for speculations piecing together things you said during the episode, but that might be right: Based on what Hitogami said about the dragon god and reincarnation and that the dragon god perceived Rudeus as an anomaly but latter saved him: Maybe that girl pointed out to dragon god that Rudeus might be the one he summoned, and that is why he went out of his way to heal him after killing him. He might now be the pawn of two gods.
Btw Orsted blow up Rudeus Lungs so he can't spell any magic. And then Orsted surprised that Rudeus can Incantationless magic. but he asking if you can do Incantationless magic why did you not heal yourself (24:12). But as we know Rudeus can't do Incantationless magic on healing magic

He now the basic what that can be happen, but in this world doing a magic just by Spelling a Spell. So that's the reason why he can Incantationless magic. Slyphy also can do that because she can imagine the concept of the magic in science way.
So without going into spoilers, Orsted has knowledge of the past and the future. The reason he attacked Rudy is because he doesn't know who Rudy is, and consider he knows how many kids Paul is supposed to have, he is confused. Which is why he asked if Rudy knows the Man-God. and because Rudy says yes to knowing who the Man-God is, Orsted figured that Rudy works for him and there for needs to be ended. If the show gets a Season 3, Orsted's character and motivations will be explained in greater detail.
There are couple of reasons for Rudy decides to talk to Orsted and Anime didn't present that very well: 1. The part Orsted talking about Ruijerd and Eris is actually longer in the novel 2. Rudy catches a Man-god vibe from the conversation and he thought Orsted might know something about Zenith 3. Also from the conversation, Rudy feels Orsted is talking to an old friend encountered unexpectly when he's talking to Ruijerd. Since the curse doesn't work on Rudy, the vibe Orsted gives him is kindness.

I think its kinda obvious that the man god is very trustworthy and we should continue to put full trust in him. He continues to give us great advice and we should listen to it always. only get good vibes from him... the dragon god is super sketchy. 100% distrust him.

All your questions eventually get answered by the end of the story. But the term God is just a rank. And there could be more then one God. But their powers are different and their motives are different. When you mention Full Metal Alchemist it could be more like all the gods are just the seven deadly sins. Which is why I don't consider the man God as The Truth from that show. He is more like being X from The Sage of Tanya the Evil. The Gods here want to see their own outcome come to past and they want to win. Osterd is the Dragon God and has lived many times only his life though. So he does know most people. Rudy was never supposed to be born he was a stillborn. Because of that when Paul has his two daughters he keeps both wife's because Rudy's mother can't bear to see anyone else die. But that was a different time. Not important this this Story. This story is mostly about Rudy.

The author only started to add things I between after the story was done. Which it would have been better if it was part of the story. The anime is kinda going the same route. 5) There are only a couple paths through the dragon mountains, known as the upper and lower jaws. These are the only paths relatively safe for travel due to the red dragon packs. Red Dragons are pack hunters, and while they can fly, it’s more of a flying squirrel sort of flight rather than a bird style flight. They have to jump from a certain height to get any lift, they are unable to get the speed they need on their own. You can actually see this in Turning Point One, after the dragon attacks Orsted.
6) Dragon God Orsted is the man on the Stella. He’s also the guy Hitogami references. The Stell, however, only lists titles, not names. Anybody could be any of those ranks.
7) Orsted caused Rudy to cough up blood by crushing his lungs. He didn’t transmute him. He did this because he figured Rudy was a mage and made the assumption that he had to recite incantations in order to fight. It was strategic. This is why Rudy hit himself with the air spell, to fill his lungs back up. You’ll see that he uses magic practically in other ways too, like supporting himself with an earth pillar.
A lot of other things I want to mention are not really relatable without spoilers, so they’ll have to wait. You may find yourself pretty uncomfortable next episode. Also, catch the trailer for season two if you want, but, there are potential spoilers there. Be wary.

Orsted didn’t blow off the fireball. He sucked it into his wyrmgate. He blew off his high speed rock bullet. But, it did damage him.

Oh yes. The eye thing. He can see ahead, but the further ahead he sees, the more possible futures he sees, this is why he could beat Eris on the beach, but couldn’t beat Ruijerd: Ruijerd had more possible avenues to attack due to experience. Orsted far, far, far outclassed Ruijerd. Also, being able to see doesn’t necessarily mean being able to do anything about it, re: Gallus Cleaner.

Orsted is too fast and unpredictable for Rudy to get a read on... so he just sees the vibrations that indicate movement can take place in any direction... Rudy become paralyzed in place because every time he looked forward 1 second into the future he was already getting impaled or having his lungs/ribs crushed.
Basically every future rudy sees and 'moves' orsted would do something else to counter it, thats why rudy grabs all different parts of his body before orsted crushed his lungs because orsted kept changing hia targets.
Theres a neat bit that you might have missed but rudy uses wind magic to reinflate his lungs. Then since orsted was countering his fire, rudy cast wind with his left hand while casing fire with his right. Orsteds magic cancelling spell could only work on one hand.
Exactly, it's like the sharingan, just because you can see what I'm to do to you doesn't mean your fast enough to stop it

If Rudeus has a weakness, its definitely that he isn't good at "reading the room", extremely common words when talking about this episode. A lot of his perviness extends from that.
The scene here has a lot in common with when he met Ruijerd for the first time. Everyone told him to fear the Superd and Eris freaked the hell out, just like here. And Ruijerd has been nothing but a reliable companion, mentor and friend.

Fun thing to note is that Ruijerd is around a low Emperor level(second highest tier) in terms of skill and the strongest person we knew of in the show so far. This fight really helps demonstrate the grand canyon sized gap between the two upper tiers of emperor and god.

12:40 As you soon find out later in this episode, Orsted has a curse that makes all things native to that world, with Rudy being an exception because of his reincarnation. His curse is what caused the ox to jump off the cliff. It’s also why Ruijerd and Eris were so terrified before they even saw Orsted. They didn’t sense him, the curse was just already affecting them.
Rudeus is learning not to take everything at face value, but also trusting his instincts. Something about Orsted compelled Rudeus to ask him questions, and something about the first time he met the man god compelled him not to trust him. Rudeus not originally a being from this world affects him differently. It's gotta have something to do with the fact that he's not from this world. And I think his instincts are part of that too. That's the neat thing about this story, small things like that can actually matter in this series because it's so well written.
So you'll have to look forward to the next Ep. I will explain some extra details from the light novel. The wind magic was to manually force air into his lungs after Orsted ruined them so he could survive a little bit longer to fight back. He launches himself backwards with wind as he guessed that disrupt magic had a range limit. On the fire magic note as you saw it was insanely powerful but the light novel tell us exactly what Rudeus was envisioning when doing it. He was thinking of Nuclear bombs and so the magic used all his mana to try and recreate a nuke. Whether Orsted could tank an actual hit from that I don't know.
On a final note Rudeus can't use magic to heal himself without incantations as unlike fire, wind, earth etc he doesn't understand how healing magic works. If he was a doctor in his past life then maybe he could perform incantation-less healing magic.

You'll notice that Rudy does desperate things when he's in desperate situations, for example when he was about to flood the entire city of Rikarisu and kill so many people just to stop one horse guy for tattle telling.
the drill he shot was also the equivalent of an anti-tank rifle, you can hear the pieces clattering to the ground and they sound like extremely dense ceramic or metal.

Rudeus couldn't foresee Orsted because Orsted was too fast. He literally couldn't perceive the movements he'd make in the future.
Orsted executed Order 66 on Rudeus. It's crazy because Ruijered is Emperor level and still got dealt with easily in seconds.
Orsted made Rujierd look like a NOVICE. Just "thwack thwack" kidney shot, temple shot, and he's down.
22:28 It’s not that she doesn’t have enough mana, it’s that she pretty much forgot most of what Rudy taught her about magic, so she performed the spell incorrectly.
The magic eye works by probability, when Orsted was on guard (walking, or standing still), he had an extremely wide array of things he could _possibly_ do, thus overloading the eye with too many probabilities
But once Orsted committed to an attack, it became _extremely probable,_ so Rudeus could see it, even if the movement itself was beyond Rudeus' perception speed
Thats why Rudeus could see Orsted defeating Ruijerd, despite they moving beyond his reaction time, _because Ruijerd's defeat was 100% probable_
It will happen a lot, the eye fluctuates from giving accurate info, to giving multiple images, depending on the probability of the outcome
Also, the first scene was made to have the viewers feel the effect of a "secondhand aura of fear," because in the novel Orsted just shows up, and Rudeus finds him weird, but Orsted is friendly towards Ruijerd, and even deducted Ruijerd found two teleported kids and is bringing them home, so Rudeus assumed Orsted couldnt be that bad, if Orsted liked Ruijerd

Couple things.
None of which are spoilers.
The dragon God listed on the list of the seven powers is The dragon God orsted. They're one and the same.
Also, what happened to rudeus when orested "hit" his stomach and he coughed up blood was twofold.
First through his demon eye Rudeus Saw several different things happen to him at once, his eyes gouged out, his throat crushed, him being impaled, so on and so forth. No matter what move he thought of making or stead was going to counter attack him lethally. Which is why you see him pat himself down because it happens so fast, that he wasn't sure it didn't happen.
Secondly what actually happened was orstead crushed his lungs with magic upon impact . This is why you see him barely breathing shortly after and why he had to blow air back into his critically damaged lungs in order to stay conscious long enough to continue the fight.

First off, it's okay to pause during the video since you are analyzing the episodes. I've seen the show already and have my thoughts, so it's entertaining to see reactor's do so and make theories (similar and different) since there's so much to unpack rather than make faces.
On to the show, I couldn't help noticing that Orstead never landed a killing blow to Rui and Eris unlike Rudeus whom he targeted from the start. My theory is that they may be instrumental or maybe pawns(?) to his plans to kill the Man-God, hence the "yet" and noting his aggressiveness the moment Rudy mentioned knowing him. Who do you think the bad guy is here between the Man-God and Orstead?

Not sure if we agree with the end result in Eris' and Rujierd's roles but we also think they're in some way instrumental to *something*. He indicated he's been watching them, which is peculiar.

I'm pretty sure he crushed Rudy's rib cage into his lungs. The air magic he first used was him forcing air into his busted lungs to breath and push his rib cage back out. At least, that's what it always looked like to me.

Hadn't thought of this until now, but the fact that Nanahoshi doesn't hate/fear Orsted kinda implies that she is the same as Rudeus in that she's from another world.

Probably wrong but Orsted's companion is the first person I've seen with black hair. They also didn't seem to fear or hate Orsted.
This episode was great but some details are more explained in the novels. When Rudy is first learning magic he has to remember things from his past to make the magic work better. When Rudy first fights kidnappers he can only shoot small stones at them. But the anime makes it to he twisted stones. In the novel he learns that if he shapes them like bullets he can make them fly faster and more accurately. When he ends up in the demon country he learns that twisting the bullets makes them faster. In this fight he remember how hot fire can get and that's why the color changes from red to purple. The bluer the flame the higher the temperature. That is something he remembers from his old life and the little schooling he had. Same goes for most of his tricks from his journey. He remembers how to improve on it by knowledge of his old world but it doesn't happen until he remembers it. His dolls where garbage when he first made them now they are almost perfect. The Roxy figure was great because it took him forever to make. The following ones took less time and he improved his skills on them. He never stopped working hard.

Rudy's eye of foresight was kind of a hindrance here, because Orsted could attack him so many ways he saw himself being hit all over which is why he patted himself down. Orsted then punched him collapsing his lungs to keep him from casting since he could tell he was a mage. He was shocked when Rudy used incantation less magic since he hadn't seen it before. Orsted actually tries it himself when he creates the wyrmgate and finds that it is actually very mana inefficient but Rudy is just stupidly broken in terms of his mana reserves due to his thousands of hours training and expanding it when he was young. That's why he thought Rudy might have as much mana as LaPlace.
As we've established Rudy can't heal without the incantation so to keep himself conscious he used wind magic to force air into his lungs, but it was just a temporary measure. That purple fireball was absolutely insane and could easily have killed everyone there from the heat and radiation had Orsted not used the gate to send it away.

Eris is all happy having reached lv 70, and then suddenly they are steamrolled by a lv 1529 dude.
This episode shows Eris hasn't grown a single bit since we met her. Just as in episode 5, she makes a promise to Rudeus (not speak loudly then, not punch him if he pinched her now) and immediately proceeds to break that promise. (joking)
Spoiler alert for speculations piecing together things you said during the episode, but that might be right:
Based on what Hitogami said about the dragon god and reincarnation and that the dragon god perceived Rudeus as an anomaly but latter saved him: Maybe that girl pointed out to dragon god that Rudeus might be the one he summoned, and that is why he went out of his way to heal him after killing him. He might now be the pawn of two gods.

Btw Orsted blow up Rudeus Lungs so he can't spell any magic. And then Orsted surprised that Rudeus can Incantationless magic. but he asking if you can do Incantationless magic why did you not heal yourself (24:12). But as we know Rudeus can't do Incantationless magic on healing magic

He now the basic what that can be happen, but in this world doing a magic just by Spelling a Spell. So that's the reason why he can Incantationless magic. Slyphy also can do that because she can imagine the concept of the magic in science way.
So without going into spoilers, Orsted has knowledge of the past and the future. The reason he attacked Rudy is because he doesn't know who Rudy is, and consider he knows how many kids Paul is supposed to have, he is confused. Which is why he asked if Rudy knows the Man-God. and because Rudy says yes to knowing who the Man-God is, Orsted figured that Rudy works for him and there for needs to be ended. If the show gets a Season 3, Orsted's character and motivations will be explained in greater detail.

I'm curious how much of the Dragon culture derives from Celtic Mythology based on the idea of a "wyrmgate."
There are couple of reasons for Rudy decides to talk to Orsted and Anime didn't present that very well:
1. The part Orsted talking about Ruijerd and Eris is actually longer in the novel
2. Rudy catches a Man-god vibe from the conversation and he thought Orsted might know something about Zenith
3. Also from the conversation, Rudy feels Orsted is talking to an old friend encountered unexpectly when he's talking to Ruijerd. Since the curse doesn't work on Rudy, the vibe Orsted gives him is kindness.

All your questions eventually get answered by the end of the story. But the term God is just a rank. And there could be more then one God. But their powers are different and their motives are different. When you mention Full Metal Alchemist it could be more like all the gods are just the seven deadly sins. Which is why I don't consider the man God as The Truth from that show. He is more like being X from The Sage of Tanya the Evil. The Gods here want to see their own outcome come to past and they want to win. Osterd is the Dragon God and has lived many times only his life though. So he does know most people. Rudy was never supposed to be born he was a stillborn. Because of that when Paul has his two daughters he keeps both wife's because Rudy's mother can't bear to see anyone else die. But that was a different time. Not important this this Story. This story is mostly about Rudy.

It is just details that get added but doesn't play into the story in anyway... because this story is about Rudy. Mostly Rudy, if you get to see anything else it is just a bonus. It is something i didn't like about the whole thing. Because some things get overlooked. But I still love the story, one of the best I would say. The author only started to add things I between after the story was done. Which it would have been better if it was part of the story. The anime is kinda going the same route. They overlooked details to just fit the story better in animation.
