The purple attack rudeus hit him with was a basic fireball and the color change was his adding more oxygen molecules making it a lot hotter(up to 7500C) and in the light novel it was stated that if the dragon god didn’t absorb it, it would output the same power as an atom bomb or nuclear explosion
The chemical reactions that go into it are pretty cool. Except if I’m correct it should have become white around the center. Oxygen typically gives off a blue hue right around the cone of the flames source. An example of this can often be seen and used in things like cutting and plasma torches. Once you reach a hot enough flame, the oxygen manages the heat for you, and turns the flame a white at the hottest area, and then blueish purple.
@@noodle3159 science + magic + one of the original magic that Rudeus has (God level) and the large rotating iron drill that comes from Rudeus and can injure the dragon god man (which is where it is said that the dragon race is very hard to hurt even with a very hard stab) it also Rudeus original magic (Emperor level)
>Barges into your party's out of nowhere >Asks weird questions >Beat the shit out of Ruijerd and Eris >Stab you in the chest >Heals you just before you die >Refuses to elaborate further >Leaves Sigma Dragon God
There was so many small details in this episode! When Orsted grabbed Rudeus the first time, he crushed Rudeus’s lungs, which was why he had to use wind magic to breath. And also the bit where he used some kind of earth magic to prop himself up to breath easier. You can really tell that that studio cares about this story!
Another interesting detail was before Orsted crushed Rudeus's lungs, the demon eye caught up to it but he didnt know where the blood would come out of that's why he searched his body.
Rudeus should've try to separate them with Orsted with earth magic tho. This is the only part where I got confused, his previous battle shown that getting a little bit of space with earth+wind+water magic is his second nature.
@@vogel2499 in other battles he doesn't see his literal death in the one second he can see in the future. The simple answer here was that Rudy froze up. He looked into the future and all he could see was despair so he lost his will to fight in that moment, but Eris trying to summon a fireball made him want to fight again.
Another interesting concept is that since they explained Orsted's curse about never being serious when fighting, you can see that when he's fighting Ruijerd and how he goes all out while Orsted is just waving his hand.
Alot of Redeus' magic is basically him using his knowledge from his previous world. The stone attacks is the equivalent of him using guns, his amplifying of magic is him just adding basic chemical reaction to make his spells stronger without using too much mana and during the fight against Ostred in the novel its explain that Redues fireball power was the equivalent of an atomic weapon or something like that. Which is many reason i love that this isekai makes sense to be an isekai because the previous world has a major effect
I made that connection too. Him shooting that stone projectile at high speed was basically the equivalent to a modern sniper bullet. That would've killed an ordinary person. Of course Orsted isn't ordinary by any means.
i dont think it was an atomic stuff (it might said that, it has been some time since i read it, so i might be wrong) but a purple like flame is if im correctly the hottest one there is (that isnt an atomic bomb since those actually will burn your retinas if you saw them), it reaches 39400 degrees Celsius
@@jjpark98 Not just high speed, but chemical composition as well, as you'll note that the shards hit the ground with an oddly metallic sound, indicating that he likely changed the carbon density to that of a high-grade metal as well.
A few hidden details from the light novel: Ruijerd is supposed to be as strong or even stronger than a Sword King (e.g. Ghislaine) and he went practically all-out as well, so Orsted clapping him in 10 seconds without getting hit once is a highly impressive feat. Rudy QnA’d Orsted about the Mana Catastrophe bc of what Paul said (“You should search for family, instead of goofing around”). Also because he wasn’t affected by his curses he didn’t feel any fear or disgust like Rui or Eris. I mean that still doesn’t excuse his terrible situational awareness, but basically he thought he had to ask Orsted about it, because he didn’t want to disappoint Paul again. Rudy said he knew the Man-God Hitogami because he thought Orsted was also an Isekai’d person and maybe he could tell him more about Hitogami. Rudy’s Eye of Foresight could accurately predict what Orsted’s next move would be, so we also never saw any foresight clones like normally. That’s also why he had to close his eye when he first saw him, there where just too many possibilities. The only thing Rudy’s Eye could show him was his death… many, many times and in a lot of different ways. A little bit like Doctor Strange with the Time Stone. Orsted actually crushed Rudy’s Lungs when he first touched him. That’s why he was coughing up blood. Yes, Rudy used Wind Magic to pump Air into his Lungs and force him to breathe. Otherwise his Lungs would’ve collapsed and he’d suffocate/drown in his own blood. Rudy’s Stone Cannon had the maximum hardness, velocity and rotational speed he could give it. He also heated it up to be red hot and fired it, with the same speed as a bullet. When Orsted said Rudy was on par with the Demon God Laplace, he only meant his mana pool. He would absolutely still lose in a real fight with Laplace. Rudy can’t heal his lungs with incantation-less magic because he has very limited knowledge on how wounds are treated. If he had the knowledge of a doctor, he might be able to do it. His healing magic is also very weak compared to his attacking magic. At the end of the fight Rudy created a fireball and infused Oxygen (O2) into it, making it way bigger and hotter. In the LN it is said, that its power was comparable to a nuke. If Orsted hadn’t absorbed it everyone except for him would’ve been incinerated.
interesting, having read the light novels (not web novels) some details are a bit different. For example Rudy never really says anything to the affect of thinking Orsted was an isekai'd person Also he described this particular stone cannon as being one he just shot at at the heat of the moment as a distraction (as opposed to the one he shot at lord Badi where he actually put effort into its kill power) And also it didn't really describe the power of the attack, he just said something to the affect of "huh, i thought it would be more impressive" As i read them i noticed a lot of people said things like this but they weren't in the books i read so i suppose the WN's translations are different, or the LNs are missing info
@@NikukaiFightOn I'm recounting the WN, I haven't read the LN so I'm not exactly sure how strong Rudy is in it. The anime seems to have followed the Web Novel's iteration instead. The WN scene is as follows. "A rock that was as hard as possible, at a velocity that was as fast as possible, with a rotation speed as fast as possible added. I think that rock bullet was at such a high power that it surprised even me. The man and I were at an exceedingly close distance, the rock bullet went flying at a red hot speed. And then it was smashed. The rock fell. After it fell to the ground there was a dinging sound almost as if it was metal. Orsted looked at his own fist. “Just now was that a rock bullet… that was an absurd power. To think this magic could leave a wound on my body…” The skin on the back of Orsted’s hand was coming off."
It's not the same, someone has to be very delusional to not read the danger in the wind, his fucking ox killed itself, he always overthinks but suddenly he tells a stranger that his teammates are afraid of about God?
@@Fax1880 he might thought that its the same case with ruijerd with an unjust fear the first time they met, which is kinda true. Actually everything else would've gone fine if only hitogami said something to rudeus beforehand if in case he encounter orsted. If man-god didn't appear in their convo it would've been fine. This is also a prerequisite for nanahoshi to meet rudeus.
@@Fax1880 Eh I think it's more that he depends more on Man God, that's why when he was talking with Man God, he said "Why don't you tell me about him". Rudeus seems more than convinced it's going to be safe since everything is going okay and let his guard down. He doesn't feel fear because the curse doesn't affect him and he already knows how it feels to be dead, seems like he is fine if he is dead during that time even though he doesn't want too from how he reacted when the conversation with Man God.
@@whitefata12 Nah. Look at past episodes. Rudeus simply has no capability to use his brain to read a room. Examples is that, he and Paul would not have been into that fight if he only realized that his Dad physically does not look okay, instead he blabbed shit about how the adventure was great af before even asking how was his dad. Second example, he gave off his staff to a random soldier of a random country he had no idea. The reason? Because Roxy used to work there. Seriously, Rudeus have put himself into dangerous situations wherein he could avoid it if he only used tiny bit of his brain cells. At this point, his brain capacity is not so different with that dumb prince of that shit country. EDIT: He has a tremendous mana, but only uses his eye of foresight when he is already in the midst of danger. You normally use such advantages even before the danger happens, but what does he do? He uses it DURING, hence he always put himself into dangers he could avoid. He's just a fucking idiot. No need to defend the neet MC.
@@c.c.0396 Rudy is not a complete vegetable, he is smart enough, he just isn't smart in the social parts. He doesn't know how to communicate properly and can't read the room, even in the Light Novel at his birthday party he says "I can read the room and stop crying when needed", soon followed by "nevermind, I guess I don't" or something like that. He is dumb just in the social aspect, he is still significantly smarter than an average Twitter user
CEO = best girl The main reason Rudeus initiate a conversation with Orsted is because he still feel bad about not gathering the information about the incident and missed Paul's message. Now, his missions also include finding more info that could lead to his mother and Sylphy.
Still, there's a difference between asking questions when the situation's tense or not. It makes sense for Rudy to do that, but almost any person would have logically deduced to stay under the radar when Ruijerd froze up.

"Laplace's Demon" is a famous scientific theory from the 19th century. That's why the name Laplace shows up a lot in anime, especially connected to demons.

Turning Points in mushoku are basically when Rudy follows a path and something unexpected happens and make him add new objectives/destinations in his journey. All of them are freaking amazing, and they remind us that this is not just an anime with plot driven things, this is like the story of a life
Actually I think now this is not a spoiler so author said that turning points are important moments in history of fight between dragon god and hitogami
I not sure you are a novel reader or not so i try to not spoil too much. What you said about turning point are only half right, bascially the turning point was not just for Rudy only but every people around him.
Spoiler ----------- Turning points are moments when something very important in the fight between Orsted and Hitogami happens and changes the course of the whole timeloop.
Bruh, Orsted really launched Eris like he was playing smash. Also, I’m not gonna lie, he’s really well drawn in the manga and light novels, but this is just flawless. I hope they don’t end the season where I think they might end it. Also, some advice, always brace yourself for turning points. They have a pattern of literally anything being able to happen.

As pants-shittingly terrifying and imposing Orsted is, I can't blame Rudy for trying to greet him. I mean, that's not too far off from how he first met Rujierd. One of the strongest most feared men in the world standing before him in the ass-end of nowhere and Eris putting her head between her legs to kiss her ass goodbye. Man-God did say that if his plan with Aisha and Lilia works, then to trust everything that happens next, and MG was the one that told him to trust Rujierd.
Terrifying stuff aside, what I love about this episode is that it wasn't just all the hype and tension, but how it also tactfully implements important info and details for future developments down the line. That's why it was that amazing! MASSIVE PROPS to Kenjiro Tsuda. He REALLY knows how to make a character look and sound absolutely badass and terrifying. Also, this is definitely my anime episode of the year, hands down. This even surpasses anything 86 and Odd Taxi did.
The direction on this episode was insane. The only 3d cgi I've seen in the anime so far has been the man god, and they do that to make him look bizarre and otherworldly. It's so genius
I wouldn't rule out 86 just yet. As a fan of both the original source material for 86 and Mushoku Tensei, they'll both be sharing that top spot this year.
Now THIS is what you call a great episode. It was shocking and unnerving to see the trio fight off against possibly the second most powerful being in their world. You could actually feel it in the trio's expression, the atmosphere around them and by their voices just how much of an intensely horrible situation they were really in. Thank you studio bind, the animators and specially the voice actors for giving us such an amazing gem of an episode.
Anime only here, Nanahoshi (the girl with Orsted) is a Japanese name. Not only that she also wasn’t scared of Orsted 🤨 can’t wait to see who she is and her story
Anime only here too, my theory is that she is also a reincarnate and she figures out that Rudy might be one too and that's why she get argues for him to be healed.
If you check the first episode, the police mentioned there are two missing prople that shouldve been run over by the truck. The girl Rudeus saved is probably Nanahoshi.
Watching Eris in particular was heartbreaking this episode. She was so desperate to save Rudeus and did absolutely everything she could until the very end, but she was completely helpless. I really like her character - she seems aggressive and harsh at first glance, but is actually really kind, caring and hard working on the inside.
Ruijerd ( Nervous and shaking in fear) :”Rudeus, Eris…DONT MOVE A MUSCLE” Orsted: Continues to walk away Also Rudeus:“ayy wait hold on bro so what’s your name”? Lol
There are a few reasons in the novel on why Rudy chose to spoke up. First, he was too focused on the girl to notice that Eris & Ruijerd were frozen in fear. Next, the bull suicide scene is anime original so novel Rudy has 1 less clue of impending danger. Following that, Orsted was the one who greeted them first and he is extremely friendly during their banter to Rudy's point of view. The atmosphere in the anime was a blend of both perspectives because Eris/Ruijerd would have felt a much stronger fear/hate pressure while Rudy sees zero animosity. This cause Rudy to be perplexed over why his friends are so on guard. Finally, Rudy felt that Orsted has knowledge about the world so he spoke up.
You see the problem which your assessment is that you left out of the part where he nearly gets killed. 😂 Seems like the problem is his lack of situational awareness and listening to others.
I'm ngl when I have nothing to watch I come to your channel and see what has the most views then go watch the show and then watch along with you, you guys have really good taste. I would have never picked this show up, ever but i'm glad I did :D

9:00 btw the fact that the fire is violet is a nice addition: electromagnetic waves ( ie light ) carry more energy the more you go towards x ray and those stuff, and in the visible light, violet is the closest ( in terms of wavelength ) to gamma rays and x rays , meaning the "violet fire" is supposed to be more powerfull, more hot etc.
Bruh rudy did nothing wrong, he's immune to laplace's curse and was beaten by his father for not investigating the mana disaster. It makes sense, not to mention his years of inexperience with people due to being a shut in causing an ignorance. Quit hating on him, he's learning about the world for the first time along with us. He's almost as ignorant to the workings and customs in this world as we are, not to mention cultural backlash.
Not hating on Rudy at all, but in this situation, if the strongest pretty experienced guy I know freezes up instantly and tells me to not move a muscle, I would act very, very cautiously. Doesn't matter what customs , traditions and inner workings exist in the world. This was a classic case of read-the-room, and Rudy turned out be Dyslexic lmao. But yeah Oersted probably would have reacted the same way regardless of how Rudy answered the "Man-god" question.
Why ask a random stranger that caused two people next to you to be paralyzed in fear and your cattle to rather die than experience another second of fear? Even I could read that situation.
@@lightsab4675 Because people did the same to Ruijerd, and it's not fun to be prejudiced again? Rudy simply doesn't want to discriminate. And btw Rudy was right, Orsted was not going to kill them, he just happened to stumble upon the wrong topic. If he hadn't met the man-god, he could have had a nice conversation about the weather and Orsted wouldn't have killed him. Obviously there's a little bit of Rudy not being able to read the room either, but it's not as big as people make it out to be. The main thing is Rudy doesn't want to base a character off first impressions.
@@Naccarat If Rudeus hadn't met the Man God, he wouldn't have gotten as far as he did. I would rather be cautious and live then be a Rudeus and nearly die. Even the circumstances are different. He was scared of his associate because of that story that Roxy told him and was told by Man God that he was there to help. His associate even brought them to a fire unharmed. This guy was someone who they were going to pass on their trail but Rudeus completely ignored any warnings from his associate despite being terrified himself and as a result nearly got killed. Survival instincts are inbuilt in animals for a reason. Even if Rudeus was not affected by the curse, he was still warned by one of his friends who were terrified. For all he knows, that could have been a evil or destructive godlike being. X doesn't always equal Y.
Rudy hasn’t said a word about the man-god to Eris or Rujerd, the two people he’s closest with and goes and opens his mouth to some random. Smh. Also, Orsted wanted Rudy dead bc he’s associated with the Man-god. The beef between Orsted and man-god runs deep and basically Orsted is running fades on man-god’s family, friends, pets, co-workers, and anyone loosely associated with him.
Rudy asked Ruijerd if the man god sent him during their first meet btw. Ruijerd had no idea so that why. Then this dude who seemingly knows everything comes to him, he cnant help but be curious.
If you play the Eris vs Rujierd sparring in slowmotion, you'll understand why Rujierd said that she has the potential to be far stronger than him. In normal speed it looked like Rujierd was still the one controlling the pace, but in slowmo Eris was actually beating him.
@@GaranNoDou298 ehhh. I mean isolde beat her ass when they first met. Though she could probably beat another sword king, water kings and north kings can be challanges imo.

From all those reactors I saw so far, you guys are the best in this particular episode. I also genuinely silent and a lot of questions popping inside my head during this moment, so much was going on and the animation even distracted you from thinking the things he just said.
I honestly attributed Rudy not being able to read the room to his personality from his previous life properly carrying over unlike with most isekai's. He was an anti-social shut in so it makes sense he wouldn't be able to feel the overwhelming tension in the room, plus he didn't feel any of the fear that Ruijerd and Eris were feeling. So at least for this incident I can't really get annoyed at him like I would at other times, plus he basically died for it, paying the ultimate price and all that.
It doesn't add up. He was a teen before tragedy struck. Also, he has been a few life and death situations before this happened. Namely, the kidnapping and those adventurers who were killed on his watch.
@@LuminousWhispers11 You have to admit though the life or death situations he's been in before this have been kind of different on comparison to this one. As far as I remember whenever he has needed to fight it has almost always been instant violence, and having a sword swung at you is different from just feeling fear. Plus we don't really know much about his life before the incident that turned him into a shut in, he could've been alone for a lot longer. Regardless the real reason was explained so it's not really a debate anymore but I see your point though.
@最後の神Izanagi I am glad to see someone who is open minded rather than just constantly saying "he isn't affected by the curse". An example was that kidnapping ultimately. He took forever to realize that it was a real kidnapping even after Eris was brutally beaten to the point that blood and teeth came out of her mouth. He even took the opportunity to play with Eris's life for personal gain like he did those adventurers he decided to wait against Ruijerd's warnings. After him and Eris nearly died after the kidnapping that he recommended was over and after those adventurers got killed after he decided to wait to interfere, he was left speechless both times. The reason I hate the main character is because he is ultimately self centered and willing to play with others lives to get what he wants. To be honest, I seen his past life and that cemented my hatred of the main character. From actively pushing people who were trying to help him away to watching his niece in the bathroom while beating to actively being pervert from the moment he was born in the new world. This is keeping in mind that his bullying consisted of him being hung up naked and naked pictures of him being taken and distributed. Yet, you have him literally stealing Roxy's panties. In the beginning of the anime, he also pansted Slypy against her will, he took it as the wrong thing to do only after finding out that she was a girl. Paul even explains the thing that even a kid would know not to do, boiling down to "she said no". Not going to say that he was always self centered but, I wouldn't be shocked. The dude literally lived off his family for years and didn't even go to his parents' funeral.
BTW! I don't know if you guys noticed but when he tried to use the demon eye on him he was looking blurry. The reason being he is so fast he couldn't predict what he was going to do. When Dragon God comes closer to him and Rudy sees blood and touches his face is because in a second he saw 5 different futures. Orsted crushing his heart, Orsted crushing his lungs, Orsted crushing his throat, Orsted crushing his head.

In the anime he comes off harsh, but Rudeus describes him as soft-spoken and kind in the book. He also talks to them for a while longer than in the anime, so Rudeus drops any guard he had at all. He does get concerned with him, but the more he speaks to him, the more he fails to understand why they're scared. The Ox suicide is also anime-only. They part on a soft note and Rudeus gets jumped after letting his guard down AND getting excited that there might be someone else that is reincarnated.
The reason that all these isekai have a character named Laplace is because of Laplace's Demon. It was a thought experiment on how entropy could theoretically be violated by a zero-cost filter that could sort high energy particles from low energy particles through two chambers. The "demon" mans the gate that sends lower energy particles to one side, and higher energy particles to the other.
no thats maxwell's demon. laplace's demon is about predicting the motion of particles if you know their initial state and velocity. hence it fits the idea of knowing the past, present, and future a lot better
I always thought Rudy was always so bad at reading the room because of his traumatizing event in his old life with the intense bullying from people around him. Now in his new life, thanks to the many new people he’s met, he’s trying to overcome his negativity and trying to be more open. So these two things kinda just conflict with each other and gets confusing.
Laplace was the demon guy who tricked/cursed the Superds Perugius is the guy that sealed him and also the guy in the floating castle who sent one of his men to attack Rudy, Ghislaine and Eris before the mana disaster, the guy that Ghislaine fought thought that if he killed Rudy it would prevent the mana disaster because he thought Rudy was causing it, and now we have Rudy's level of mana directly compared to Laplace.
Oh MY GOD!!!!! EDITOR!! BRO! THIS EPISODE MIGHT JUST BE YOUR MAGNUM OPUS. I was dieing through the whole episode. LMAOOOOOOOO 9:27 Dude give me my air back! I CAN'T BREATHE XD literally LMAOO
Lupa's reaction to Rudy having a 0.5 second preview of his lungs getting crushed was some real visceral shit. Man literally screamed three times and then his body starts trying to curl into the foetal position when he stops himself letting it out. Maybe it makes me a sicko, but I really do enjoy seeing him react to stuff. Kinda wish he'd been there to watch A Silent Voice, even if just for that one scene.
Sheera, just accept that most anime protagonists are too socially awkward to read the room. You've seen a lot of anime, it can't be THAT much of a surprise every single time.
Doesn't mean she won't be pissed. Even I was pissed because this is not the first time Rudeus acted without using his dumbass brain. He always acted first before assessing the situation. Literally he can topple that dumb prince on his own, but his too dumb to even NOT give his staff on a random person just because they said "Roxy was there". What did he do? Gave off his staff, overly-enthusiastic- and ended up his ass in an anti-magic cell. Most anime protagonists are socially awkward, but not all are as dumb as Rudeus. Rudy's ability to not use his brain literally on the same level as that Tokyo Revengers protagonist. They're the worst type of MCs were as someone or THEY have to suffer tremendously before they could even learn.
But do you understand that Rudy isn’t dumb like the rest of the protagonists and you would think that someone like him is able to at least read the environment
I dunno even if it has to do anything with being socially awkward, for rudeus he was just another passerby as he didn't attack them at first sight why will he attack them later... About not listening to ruijerd it's expected, rudeus thinks he is smarter than ruijerd, not that he is being cocky rather ruijerd's advice never benefitted them anyways
@@drp7751 There was a case where people died as a result of Rudeus's decision to wait to help. Remember when they went on a quest to kill a monster? Rudeus was left speechless. Ruijerd was pissed. Way before that he recommended a kidnapping to get Eris to respect magic and they both nearly died as a result and he was left speechless that time too. He still thought that they were acting even seeing how brutally Eris was beaten. Rudeus is not someone you want to have making decisions in life and death situations. People mention the curse but, Rudeus wouldn't have that knowledge. Meaning that he clearly went against Ruijerd's order to stand still then talked to the person and nearly died as a result. Paul was heavily drinking and was in foreign land. Many people would have questioned why but Rudeus never did. He is most definitely worse at reading the room than the average anime protagonist. Of course, I would describe him as more self centered and dangerously naive to be honest. He even jokes that the person is terrifying himself, he has no danger instinct at all.
A very important detail that was changed in the anime! In the light novel when they met Orsted, Rudy started talking like he did in the anime. Beacuse Rudy didn't got affected by his curse and Orsted reminded him of Hitogami, they went on with the conversation. The difference is that in the light novel, Rudy finished the conversation with the question: "Do you know someone named Hitogami (Man-God)?" That's when Orsted attacked him. Because normal people know of the human god. But only those he talks to, know that his actual name, is Hitogami (Man-God). That's why Orsted immediately went on the attack, because he and Hitogami are enemies (spoiler, so I won't elaborate any further). From Rudy's perspective, he was just talking to a guy that seemed very knowledgeable and mysterious, so he asked his questions in hopes for answers. And he only found out Orsted is the Dragon God, after getting attacked. He had no idea he is facing the second of The Seven Great World Powers.

Laplace is kinda iconic name for fantasy genre given it's pop culture reference to Laplace's demon which is the determinism theory that everything that is happening in the present and the future was already pre-determined by the past.
I love how, after fighting Orsted here and losing so badly, Rudues completely overcompensates in his future encounter with the Demon Lord. One of my favourite scenes in the entire LN, for sure.
They made it a bit different from the LN and manga, still amazing af tho, Rudy was done at that moment lol Wish they explained a bit more about Rudy actually doing small damage to Osterd in their fight here, he used a basic spell but it was strong enough to damage the dragon God, and Osterd mentioned this, but they kind of just skimmed through it in the anime
A) Showing is better than telling B) Just because the anime didn't say it now, doesn't mean it won't ever. It's not like we don't have a fight in the next arc that will tell us this info for us
@@youdontknowme2913 but they really don't know the impact that actually had to the overall experience, since Osterd doesn't even mention it. All the viewer sees here is "he barely scratched him" and that's it, like I said, they just skimmed through it like it wasn't a huge deal
Side info, Orsted is Dragon-folk, so he's not actually a dragon, sorta like how Ghyslaine isn't actually a cat, and Laplace is the Demon God that was killed by the Armored Dragon King, Perugius (the guy with the flying castle from season 1 part 1, and he's the guy who sent Almanfi the Radiant to investigate the mana disaster) 400 years prior to the story during the Human-Demon War. Also, Laplace was the guy that betrayed Ruijerd and the Superd. Just some lore that the anime left out from part 1.
What an episode!

@@vogel2499 He's basically moving on instinct at that time and he knows he's about to die (his lungs were crushed) so he tried to eliminate Orsted.
Another interesting concept is that since they explained Orsted's curse about never being serious when fighting, you can see that when he's fighting Ruijerd and how he goes all out while Orsted is just waving his hand.
When Rudeus was lost about what part of his body he should protect gave me chills. He really did not know what to do.

@@jjpark98 Not just high speed, but chemical composition as well, as you'll note that the shards hit the ground with an oddly metallic sound, indicating that he likely changed the carbon density to that of a high-grade metal as well.
big brain rudy
Rudy made plasma ☠️🔥
A few hidden details from the light novel:
Ruijerd is supposed to be as strong or even stronger than a Sword King (e.g.
Thanks, very informative.
Regarding Ruijerd, he is equated to a North Emperor in power.
interesting, having read the light novels (not web novels) some details are a bit different. For example Rudy never really says anything to the affect of thinking Orsted was an isekai'd person
Also he described this particular stone cannon as being one he just shot at at the heat of the moment as a distraction (as opposed to the one he shot at lord Badi where he actually put effort into its kill power)
And also it didn't really describe the power of the attack, he just said something to the affect of "huh, i thought it would be more impressive"
As i read them i noticed a lot of people said things like this but they weren't in the books i read so i suppose the WN's translations are different, or the LNs are missing info
course i read the kindle version of the LN's so idk if the actual paper backs have even different translations versus the kindle or web novel
To think this magic could leave a wound on my body…”
The skin on the back of Orsted’s hand was coming off."
Sheera: "I don't know why he couldn't stay quiet"

Finally, Rudy felt that Orsted has knowledge about the world so he spoke up.

yall know an anime character is gonna be serious when they're voiced by kenjiro tsuda (nanami, joker, overhaul)
Yep, and I wish Kokushibo (upper moon 1) with same va too
Overhaul is a joke
SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH that animation tho.
They always output such perfection like, damn.

Meanwhile lupa shitting himself 🤣🤣
F*ck you bro an ad started playing when i clicked the time stamp
Orsted's curse worked on Lupa
that purple fireball rudeous did was basically a Nuke. Orsten saved all of them
Rudy hasn’t said a word about the man-god to Eris or Rujerd, the two people he’s closest with and goes and opens his mouth to some random. Smh. Also, Orsted wanted Rudy dead bc he’s associated with the Man-god. The beef between Orsted and man-god runs deep and basically Orsted is running fades on man-god’s family, friends, pets, co-workers, and anyone loosely associated with him.
Your first sentence kept running through my mind the entire time.
Rudy asked Ruijerd if the man god sent him during their first meet btw. Ruijerd had no idea so that why. Then this dude who seemingly knows everything comes to him, he cnant help but be curious.
Poor cow didn't sign for this shit
@@leboin832 Curiosity killed the cat.
If you play the Eris vs Rujierd sparring in slowmotion, you'll understand why Rujierd said that she has the potential to be far stronger than him. In normal speed it looked like Rujierd was still the one controlling the pace, but in slowmo Eris was actually beating him.
As of that moment, she could easily be equated to about King Rank. With some difficulty she'd probably best Ghyslaine.
@@GaranNoDou298 ehhh. I mean isolde beat her ass when they first met. Though she could probably beat another sword king, water kings and north kings can be challanges imo.
Yea man is actually on par with Laplace(they mentioned him in season 1 as he was the one who started the war)when it comes to mana pool not so much on mana manipulation yet
laplace didnt end the war he started it
yeah, it's like the fat dude at the bar that hits like a heavy weight boxer, but ofc he does not has the experience, technique or stamina of the boxer.

Roshi: "What number is Eminem, Rap God?"
Lupa: "and I took that personally."
The added blur when he took off his glasses, tho.
Rudeus was reminded he should ask questions and seek answers during the Paul reunion.
This was a direct result of that.
Lupa taking off his glasses and the screen getting blurry is some A+++ editing lmao
7:39 "Literally Orsted being gentle" LOL
bruh Lupa been feeling the beating before it even happened to Rudeus lmao
I swear the part where the ox/cow choose death over being in the presence of Orsted is a level of detail that is legit beyond epic.
4:24 oooh somebody read Chainsaw Man, because the top right looks like the eternity devil's head
4:55 even lupa san feared his presence
From all those reactors I saw so far, you guys are the best in this particular episode. I also genuinely silent and a lot of questions popping inside my head during this moment, so much was going on and the animation even distracted you from thinking the things he just said.
Guys, in the future when you see “next episode: turning point X” be aware that something important and hard will happen
Its gonna be some time until the next one tho lol
@@gooddogreallygooddog6157 i know, that’s why I said in the future
If i learned anything from watching Mushoku Tensei then it's to know when to keep my mouth SHUT!!!
Never underestimate the power of just shutting the fuck up at the right time
I honestly attributed Rudy not being able to read the room to his personality from his previous life properly carrying over unlike with most isekai's.
Imagine. That Dragon God sent Rudeus to 'Man-God' as a message, clearly they have some beef 😂.
7:39 LITERALLY ORSTED BEING GENTLE. Editor-san is right. That's why he's *GOAT*
Lupa be killin me with the way he be movin
Notices Ruijerd of all people fearful and being cautious*
Rudeus: Yo wait a moment op dude!
Even with Rudeus immune to the curse, you should be concerned about your squad and especially Ruijerd freaking out
Eris at this point can mop the floor with Rudeus... he saw both of them cowering and still opened his mouth
@@tramarthomas6105 Exactly. People are saying it’s because the curse has no effect. Nah, curse or not, if my travel ox kills itself and op bodyguard freak out I’m freaking out too lol. Sure he was a NEET with no social experience… but the ox even killed itself lol
Honestly I feel he has some sort of perception issue himself cuz he couldn't see paul's state much less their reactions
@@imperialsarcasm He demonstrates psychopathic tendencies and fabricated a lot of emotions imo. He seems to be missing a lot of human instincts and awareness, prob from being a NEET
@@TheNecroFisherman Time to specify a little: Concerning Orsted, he never really understood why they were so scared.
Orsted's curse has passed into our world directly into our man Lupa, dude was scared as hell even with Orsted just passing by xD

yo the edit of the whole screen getting blurry when lupa takes his glasses off was PEAK and HELLA accurate
After watching the reaction, I need to see Lupa watch some scary movies. I would have a lifetime of entrainment
This man blurred the image when lupa took off his glasses LMFAO
The reason that all these isekai have a character named Laplace is because of Laplace's Demon. It was a thought experiment on how entropy could theoretically be violated by a zero-cost filter that could sort high energy particles from low energy particles through two chambers. The "demon" mans the gate that sends lower energy particles to one side, and higher energy particles to the other.
no thats maxwell's demon. laplace's demon is about predicting the motion of particles if you know their initial state and velocity. hence it fits the idea of knowing the past, present, and future a lot better
Imagine because you are good at mathematics, people in the future use your name for naming a demon lmao
This was the first thing in a while that made my jaw hit the floor. Holy shit this episode was amazing!
Laplace was the demon guy who tricked/cursed the Superds
Perugius is the guy that sealed him and also the guy in the floating castle who sent one of his men to attack Rudy, Ghislaine and Eris before the mana disaster, the guy that Ghislaine fought thought that if he killed Rudy it would prevent the mana disaster because he thought Rudy was causing it, and now we have Rudy's level of mana directly compared to Laplace.
Oh MY GOD!!!!! EDITOR!! BRO! THIS EPISODE MIGHT JUST BE YOUR MAGNUM OPUS. I was dieing through the whole episode. LMAOOOOOOOO
9:27 Dude give me my air back!
Rudy not being able to read the room EVER makes sense since he was a NEET
Agreed lol
I KNOW PEOPLE can be @ssholes, it doesn't stop me from hating @ssholes.
These three are the funniest fucking reactor ever I swear
He had no idea he is facing the second of The Seven Great World Powers.

is my favorite part 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 it's painful moment but his scream killd me
I was wondering if they opened the ep with that he will not gonna die but still it was stressful and rude asks the white many exact question why do you know about ostred and his curses that much ? He attacked rude after hearing the name hitogami bc he is the one that gave him the curses to stop him to destroy the world nanashi said that guy maby he is....... and give a little hint 😩 to think about it till next week
You know, I can’t watch 7:50 anymore without hearing Lupa scream 😂 I was watching it and just knew something was missing
Rudeus really got added to the donut club
SHEERA KEEP DOING THE INTRO AS ALWAYS DONT CHANGE
They made it a bit different from the LN and manga, still amazing af tho, Rudy was done at that moment lol
Wish they explained a bit more about Rudy actually doing small damage to Osterd in their fight here, he used a basic spell but it was strong enough to damage the dragon God, and Osterd mentioned this, but they kind of just skimmed through it in the anime
They show he hurt Orsted but they didn't talk about that
Showing works better in anime then telling everything.
Don't worry..
Round 2 gonna be off the fuckin chain!!
A) Showing is better than telling
B) Just because the anime didn't say it now, doesn't mean it won't ever.
