DIY baseboards, craftsman style (Step 1 in redoing your trim)

If you know my channel, than you know I love taking on a lot of DIY projects. Right now, I'm re-doing all the trim in my house, and I thought I'd show you how easy it is. This is part 1 of a series about craftsman style trim I am putting up around my house. Here I show the baseboards. The nice thing about craftsman style is that it is really simple and not ornate, which is perfect for the DIYer!

My house is an old craftsman style bungalow. The craftsman movement is very similar to arts and crafts, or the mission style. I looked at a lot of pictures online, books, and videos. Ultimately I settled on a design by fellow TH-camr James Wright that he showed in a video I'll link below. Wright is an incredible woodworker, and does a lot of work with hand tools; definitely check out his videos. He even made the plans available for free.
