I was surprised to hear the drywall held up with the water. Still not sure I would want this as an option given the abuse some baseboards can take. Good video Thanks.
They have 1x3 or 1x4 boards (8ft) at Home Depot for around $2.00 or $3.00 if you buy in bulk. I'm thinking of just buying those and running them through a planer to clean them up a bit and them routering an edge. The cost is about 1/4 of what it would run if I just bought finished moulding. Should save about $300-400 doing this for my basement remodel. Using drywall, that's a whole other level of cheap, very impressive, I don't have the time for that.
Would you say personally that this is a good business to get into, or is there a lot of competition? I was interested in making either plywood baseboards or baseboards from 2x4s.
Thanks for the info. The only thing more helpful than seeing the steps involved in creating molding from drywall was seeing the comparison of several popular materials! Keep up the great work and for heavens sake, don’t EVER stop talking!
Love the data mindset that produces a graph.

Unable to swallow the home depot price of baseboards that I want $2.30-$3.00/ft. I'll check cheaper plain baseboard and mold them.
Cost should def include prep time.

Have you thought about ferring strips? Like a 1x4x8
That's a good idea if you can get them cheap and reasonably straight.
Thank you!!
What kind of primer did you spray on the drywall version? Something like Kilz?
Yeah I think it was something like that
Eh. Use a fence picket. Better than drywall for sure and they're only $2 each.
That's a good idea I just couldn't find any 8ft fence pickets near me.
That’s what I did to my house. A lot of sanding tho.
Or a planer if you have access to one
I dint have all these tool especially a plainer
Me digging through my couch so I won't have to get drywall baseboards 😮😮😮😮
🤣🤣🤣
You should get into voice acting with your deep professional voice 😊
I might think about that 😏
