How to Answer Behavioral Interview Questions

  • HOW TO ANSWER BEHAVIORAL INTERVIEW QUESTIONS // You’re in a job interview and you’re asked “Tell me about a time you dealt with conflict at work” or “Tell me about a time failed”.
    How do you answer?
    These types of questions are called behavioral questions or situational questions and they;re very popular questions to ask in job interviews. I’m going to teach you how to answer behavioral interview questions using a specific formula for your answers.
    Amazon is well known for using behavioral interview questions in their interviews and they’re not alone. Most other job interviews will include at least some behavioral interview questions. We’ll look at how to identify behavioral interview questions and then we’ll talk about how to answer them.
    Behavioral interview questions often don’t sound like questions at all. The most common way they are phrased is starting with “tell me about a time...” or “give me an example...”
    There’s a great way to answer any behavioral interview question, no matter what it is. It’s called the STAR method which stands for situation, task, action, result. It gives you a fixed frame for your answers so you can stay on track which still giving the hiring manager all the information they need.

    i am surprised how difficult it is for the interviewer to acknowledge someone doesn't fail like they do and they should just suck it up

    Is there a big difference between system/data/business analyst? I have seen your video where you explain the difference between data and business analyst. What about system analyst? Is it somewhat similar?

      A systems analyst will typically work more on the IT side and be more focused on tools rather than the people part of the business.
