What is a Data Steward

WHAT IS A DATA STEWARD // In the simplest sense, data stewardship is another step in the process focusing on implementation and business impact.
The data steward's role essentially is to support the user community. This individual is responsible for collecting and evaluating issues and problems with data and communicating around that data both to IT and business resources. Most data stewards function within specific subject areas or within a specific business function.
This video looks at key functions of a data steward as well as the benefits of data stewardship within an organization.
