- Hybrid drivetrains are overtaking the automotive industry. These systems are boosting gas mileage, so now we have some SUVs with a 40 mpg rating. Also, hybrids are cleaner, emitting less gases, which can be the key factor for their market overtake in the future. Also, you won’t pay them too much more compared to standard gas configurations. There are more hybrids added recently, and these are the best new hybrid SUVs for the upcoming season.

2024 Hyundai Tucson does not give 35 miles per gallon. Not even closed as per Hyundai techs that motors are very tight. I’m only getting 26 miles per gallon. Please think twice as you are not going to get the mpg that they are advertising
I regret buying the vehicle now I’m stuck with it.
There is a break-in period for the motors before it gets the advertised mpg. I have a 2022 Hybrid Tucson and the first year was around the 28-32 range. Now I get 35-40 on average. Drive it on Smart mode, not Eco (I know it's weird). Smart mode runs the EV mode more often. Also your driving style will change over time as you see what gets you the best mileage.
For Lexus being #1 and getting only 27mpg doesn't add up. Do all these SUVS get under 30mpg?
Just found KIA Sorento, it gets 37mph.
