It's *very* impressive. The game isn't really designed to do things like this, so you have to be really creative and determined to basically force the game to allow you to do this
I'm commenting this to let the algorithm know that it must spread this man's immense achievement of landing a comet without breaking it! Forget these " craft to and back" videos, this is where the money's at. No mods or other trickery, you can't mod an Xbox. Not a top-of-the-line PC here, just a gaming console. And what's more interesting here is that the console didn't grind to single digit framerate! Also, the contract icon tells that this is done on career mode. Must've been a lot of work completing a heck ton of them for the funds to build the rocket, huh? Verdict: The next coming of Real Reidleyblitz2462 Lownengineer
@@turf6863 It was an honor reading your comment, sir. I also look for that little contract tab on the right lol I tried to keep all the low frame parts out of the video and sped up the parts that where. I think the record was 1 frame every 4 seconds in my earlier attempts. I even lost my original rock collection save because I tried using too many parts so I had to start again. I found a good rythm for making funds early game by taking tourists to Mun, Minmus and back. Also, rescuing kerbals on the way to squeeze as many contracts into one mission as possible. The secret is streaming Kerbal on Twitch. It's definitely been a good journey, the community is amazing. If you stream Kerbal on Twitch, I want to be there! Have a great day!
Sorry to double comment but ive gotta ask, how did you get around ladder problems on console, i find that you cant climb on other planets because of your space helmet...which ruined a career run to eve where you gotta land on surface and water and i couldnt get back into the rocket
@@jamesanderson6580 thanks for both your comments. I totally agree, the ladders are infuriating on this game lol you can test them on Kerbin and they'll work perfectly fine, but then won't work anywhere else! But don't be discouraged, this is an engineering game after all. One of my solutions was to add a small pod at the bottom of the rocket, then transfer kerbals through the craft. Best of luck!
@@vorttex_ it's not perfect, but it's the only game of it's kind IMO. It's all based on real physics and real engines which makes it unique. If you like problem solving definitely check it out! I've gained a great intuitive understanding of not just orbital mechanics, but what it means to know something lol I know it sounds corny but this game is really a trip.. not to mention how epic the kerbal community is. Twitch and Kerbal go very well together! 👍✌
if recreational orbital mechanics sounds fun to you, give it a shot. Just know that it is a simulation, and going to orbit is much harder than just going up, like in many other games.
Hmmm, i think im gonna get it since i can get the Key for 1,20€. Thx for the answers guys, that kinda sounds exactly like stuff i normally love. I love physics and simulations, especially astro- and particle-physics. Was always a dream of mine to study astrophysics, but it's really hard to find good work afterwards. That's why I decided to go into electronics, IT-Systems and engineering. So the more i think about it, the more i think im gonna really like that game😅
I never knew comets in KSP interacted with atmospheres. Or anything, for that matter. Granted, i only ever visited a comet once, found them to be boring and turned to other stuff 😅
@@mattgriffin8383 oh, you mean the orbital kannon? If you're interested theres a really good YT video on how to make it by Kerbal Space academy. It's an exploit that uses docking ports and landing gear to accelerate projectiles at incredible speeds. The kannon in this video actually shoots 4 projectiles, but we only see 2 of them interacting with the comet. The other 2 where much smaller and therefore accelerated way beyond the games ability to comprehend lol also, the reason it's shaped like a spider is because I tried to break the comet by heating it up with mammoth engines. Probably not the answer you where looking for, but thanks for the question 👍✌

CAREER MODE!!
XBOX!!
A YEAR!!
That is some dedication (also you might want to see a doctor).
Thats actually fucking insane, as soon as you said career I thought damn
My careers always end in an intolerable accumulation of glitches and bugs.
You absolute mad lad, you did it.
On console, in career mode. And that ring of comet fragments. Just incredible.
A shame the comets REALLY want to explode in the atmosphere even at much slower speeds. This is incredible, I am glad I got to watch it
Who needs a sample return when you can just bring the whole dang thing back!
KSCs wet dream
Didn't expect to see you here ever (no hate)
Impressive!
Now bring whole Minmus to the KSC
Finally a good KSP Xbox TH-camr.
Now the KSC has access to unlimited comet flavored ice cream!

i subbed btw
Yes! A win for us Xbox player.
5:08 Even more Crazy he did it on career mode.
That comet is really strong
Ah yes, the Stonehenge. And they're gonna say that aliens built it.
Great job. Doing this on xbox career mode must be about as difficult as doing it in RL.
So get to it brah ;)
That was insane wow
next part: How to Land a Moon
haha, this makes me want to watch For All Mankind. Well done!
The good KSP.
Dinasaurs would love you :D

Funny they call Xbox edition enhanced edition even when it has less features.
It is enhanced over the original xbox version, which was an absolute mess.
