The earth itself did not suffer a major event as a result other than associated earthquakes. The ecosystems across the planet, however, were turned upside down effectively overnight. The ecosystems are a product of this planet's contents and solar radiation, but the planet existed before the emergence of life, and will long after we're gone.

    Another fun fact about the Tsar Bomba:
    The blast of the bomb was expected to be so large that the pilot was given a 50% chance of actually living. They decided to put a parachute onto the bomb to give him a better chance, and the parachute was so large it weighed nearly a ton itself. When the bomb finally detonated, He was 27 miles away from the blast finally hit him, and the plane nose dived. Luckily, he managed to recover and he lived!

      So... I hate to be that guy, but I'm pretty confident that what they actually did was switch the depleted uranium casing for one made of lead which allowed the radiation to pass through rather than be absorbed and then re-emitted (which would have essentially doubled the yield by compressing the explosive force). The fuel they used also wasn't uranium, in order to classify as thermonuclear (fusion) it would have to involve light element like unstable hydrogen or lithium (though weapons-grade plutonium would likely be used to achieve the heat and compression needed to fuse those elements).
      I'm open to being corrected though, I'm trying not to cheat by looking it up.

      @JonMartinYXD 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +39

      @Demane69 Not sure what you mean by "can't be sustained within our atmosphere", but your point is correct. The problem with larger bombs is that because the energy is released equally in all directions, most of it goes into the atmosphere instead of down onto the thing you want destroyed. 3 bombs of X kilotons each are always more efficient than 1 bomb of 3X kilotons. And this is before taking into account the fact that the higher the yield, the higher in the atmosphere the bomb must be detonated to achieve optimal destruction, but the higher in the atmosphere it is detonated the more energy is not directed towards the ground. It is a vicious cycle of rapidly diminishing returns.
      Plus there is the interception risk. If a 3X kt bomb/warhead gets intercepted, that's it, no boom. But if one of the three X kt bomb/warheads gets intercepted (which is harder to do since they will be smaller), there are still two X kt bomb/warheads hitting the target.
      As for Poseidon, its realistic yield is around 2 Mt. Assuming it ever enters service and isn't just more Russian military vapourware.

      Kruschev asked for a 100 MT bomb, because it sounded big and scary. The scientists building it talked him down to 50 MT because
      A) a 100MT bomb would have literally been too big to lift; there wasn't an aircraft in existence that could have carried it. Even the 50 MT bomb was too big for military aircraft; the Soviet Air Force had to adapt a passenger plane to carry it.
      B) it would have been impossible to test, as the shock wave would have knocked the plane that dropped it out of the sky, and no Soviet pilot was going to volunteer for that. Even the 50 MT bomb created a shockwave that nearly crashed both the plane that dropped it and the plane that filmed the test; both planes dropped to about 50% altitude before their pilots were able to regain control.
      C) Yeah... 100 MT is completely insane; even theoretically that thing should not be allowed to exist. Even the 50 MT bomb... you know what? There isn't enough space in a TH-cam comment to describe how completely apocalyptic the Tsar Bomba explosion was. Google it; Wikipedia has plenty on it.

      Not much, the war would probably have ended.
      Soviet-Japanese war began right after Nagasaki bombing and lasted for about a month during which Soviet and Chinese forces pushed Japanese forces off the mainland (So fighting still continued even after nukes), cutting them all of the resource bases they obtained prior, completely halting them any capability for full scale war production. They would simply have little to nothing to fight the rest of the world with at that moment and would be blockaded. When Japan decided to capitulate most of the officers didn't even care or know about the nukes, they were concerned they had no more mainland footing.
      It's just statistic point though, I'm not defending Japan from the point of morality here.

      🧮THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the last age in which God is saving man from the imminent destruction of this old world"
      (The current conquest activity aims to show the end of man. Why is the conquest of the last stage? Is not it for All, in the continuation of the bullying work of strife and judgment, showing their true colors and sq so are grouped according to their kind after? It is about judging the sins of the people and then manifestation of different kinds of people, so is determined If they are bad or righteous. After the conquest of the conquest, the work of rewarding good, and punishing the wicked. The people who are entirely follows - mean thoroughly conquered - will put the next step the work of God in full universe; those who are not conquered to be put in darkness and to face disaster. The end is approaching for everything; The end of man is evidently shown in his eyes, and everything is strangled by kind. The revelation of the end of all mankind is done before the judgment seat, in the continuation of the strife, and the continuation of the last day's conquest. Everyone will show his true face to light. At this point, man was no longer the former he was, long ago the original image of his ancestors disappeared, because the unnatural descendants of Adam and Eve had long been captured by Satan, never again know the heavens ---day, And because the people are filled with all kinds of Satan's poisons. Thus, people have their appropriate ends.)
      Almighty God said
      The CURRENT CONQUEST activity AIMS to SHOW the END of man. Why do I say that captivating and JUDGMENT TODAY is the JUDGMENT BEFORE the BIG WHITE THRONE in the LAST DAYS? 💫
      Do not you see it? WHY is the CONQUEST of the LAST STAGE? Is not it to be unlikely to DEMONSTRATE WHAT KIND of END will be TAKEN by the TYPE of PERSON? Is it not to let everyone, in the continuation of the bullying work of strife and judgment, to SHOW their TRUE COLORS and thus GROUPS ACCORDING to their KIND after? Instead of saying it is conquest of mankind, it may be more to say that it shows what kind of end is for every kind of person. It is ABOUT JUDGING the SINS of the PEOPLE and then MANIFESTATION of DIFFERENT KINDS of PEOPLE, thus DETERMINING whether they are EVIL or RIGHTEOUS. ☀️
      AFTER the CONQUEST of the conquest, the WORK of REWARDING and CORRUPTION will FOLLOW. The PEOPLE who are FULLY FOLLOWS --- It means those who are COMPLETELY CONQUERED --- will PUT the NEXT STEP the PROPAGATING of GOD'S WORK in the WHOLE UNIVERSE; the uncultivated will be put of darkness and face disaster. Thus, MAN will be INCLUDED in EVIL, NEVER AGAIN SEE SUNSHINE, and the RIGHTEOUS will be TAKEN to GOOD, to RECEIVE LIGHT and LIVE in LIGHT forever. ☀️
      The END is NEARING for EVERYTHING; The END of MAN is EVIDENTLY SHOWN in his EYES, and everything is STRANGLED by KIND. 😪☀️
      How, then, can people escape the armor of grouping of each other according to type? The DIFFERENT END of EACH HUMAN CLASS is REVEALED WHEN the END is NEARING for EVERYTHING; And this is done WHILE in the WORK of the CONQUEST of the WHOLE UNIVERSE (including all conquesting work, starting from the current work).
      The REVELATION of the END of ALL MANKIND is DONE BEFORE the JUDGMENT SEAT, in the continuation of the strife, and the CONTINUATION of the LAST DAY'S CONQUEST. The EXCLUSION - APART from the PEOPLE by TYPE does NOT RETURN to PEOPLE to their ORIGINAL KINDS, BECAUSE of the CREATION of the PERSON DURING the CREATION, there is ONLY ONE KIND of PERSON, the ONLY DIVISION is BETWEEN MALE and FEMALE. ☀️
      THERE are so MANY DIFFERENT TYPES of PEOPLE. AFTER only a FEW THOUSAND YEARS of CORRUPTION that APPEARED DIFFERENT KINDS of PEOPLE, SOME are in the AREA of the DIRTY DEVIL, and SOME, those who are PURSUATED in the WAY of LIFE, UNDER the POWER of the ALMIGHTY in this way only gradually - increasingly The types are emerging in the middle of the people, and therefore only break the people to the kinds within the large human family. ALL people are having DIFFERENT "Father"; THIS is NOT the CONDITION that EACH ONE is FULLY UNDER the STATE of the ALMIGHTY, because it is out of the rebellion of man. The RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT REVEALS the TRUE ONE'S OWN TYPE of MAN, NOTHING is LEFT behind. ☀️
      EVERYONE will SHOW his TRUE face to LIGHT. At this POINT, MAN is NO longer the FORMER, he has LONG disappeared the ORIGINAL IMAGE of his ANCESTORS, because the NON-COUNTLESS DESCENDANTS of ADAM and EVE have LONG BEEN CAPTURED by SATAN, NEVER AGAIN KNOW the HEAVEN---DAY, and because the people are FILLED with ALL KINDS of SATAN'S POISONS. 😪
      THEREFORE, people have their APPROPRIATE DESTINATIONS. In addition, on the basis of their unique poisons that they are exclusively --- besides the class, which means it is excluded - besides them based on the extent of the oppression of them today. 🙏
      from "The WORD Appears in the Flesh". ... Holy Book ------ Fulfillment in (John 1: 1) "In the beginning he was Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God." ... and (Ezekiel 2:9-10), (Rev. 19:9,13)

The frag grenade and the claymore may not *seem* like much, and they certainly aren't by comparison with a Czar Bomba (lol), but their killing power can't be understated. The shockwave from Tsar bomb circled earth 3 times. They had to attach parachute so that crew can survive, even then the shockwave caught the plane that was 27 miles away from the bomb, one of the crew members screamed that shockwave is catching them, the pilot made decision to quickly fly up as fast as possible to reduce damage, the plane hit by shockwave was sent from 7km to 14k up in the air, the crew survived.

    • @18Hongo
      @18Hongo 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A couple of ammendments; the shock wave was so big that it could be detected on its third journey around the world. It may well have managed a full or partial fourth circumference, but if it did, that either wasn't recorded, or didn't make it into the popularised accounts.
      Also, there were two planes; one that dropped the bomb, and one that filmed it. It is true that the shock wave caused both to drop to roughly 50% altitude before their pilots were able to stabilise them.
      The bomb also knocked out radio communications in a huge swathe of the USSR, and since the government hadn't announced it, the population got absolutely no warning whatsoever. "This is Crazy Ivan, playing all your favourite Communist hits! Coming up next, a moment of terrifying apocalyptic silence while we do a brief trial run on ending the world!" probably wouldn't have been super comforting, but it would have been better than nothing - a lot of people must have thought the Americans had finally decided to kick off World War 3.

The Tsar Bomba technically isn't any different than the first, smallest nukes. It's literally the nuclear version of piling more and more TNT onto a bigger and bigger pile, making a bigger boom. For all practical purposes, it didn't make nukes worse. H-bombs did that. Either way, they are both something that needs to be put back in Pandora's Box.

    The Minuteman warhead (W-87) would typically detonate at an altitude of between 1.5 to 2.1 km (1.3 to 0.9 miles) to create an over-pressure of 5-10psi. The animation looks like ground burst which would only be used if attacking a hardened target such as an ICBM silo or underground command center. The fireball would be about 1.32km (0.8mi) in diameter, which would be far larger than the animation. It would extend about 0.7km in each direction from the center of Westminster bridge (5:27). Basically, even more terrifying! Also, for what it's worth, MIRV's can only target a cone shaped area of a few hundred miles long from the point above the ground when they are released from the bus which was accurately depicted. I can provide some references if anybody wants. Overall, excellent animations (especially the aircraft)!
