Note that in the video I set the 3200 RAM module clockspeed to 1800 which would be 3600MHz, so 1600 should be the setting to reach 3200MHz. Regardless, I've just messed with the settings and found that the Win600 won't clock the RAM any higher than 3200MHz anyway, so no matter what you choose (1600 or higher) it will still default to 3200MHz.

All these upcoming windows handhelds should have windows 11 and all the other apps you mentioned. They may tweek it to get some other things like battery percentage and color options for the screen like using less colors to save power as if you are playing a 2d indie game you are probably not gonna need all the colors a screen can offer. They can also have the taskbar hidden or have steam big picture in boot. A seperate admin account and a account for epic game store or big picture can give you a console experience. After opening it just 2 taps you are in the steam menu! Or even the epic menu which the deck can't do without changing the os. Steam didn't build steam os to fit handhelds they just attached their name to it. When ever a handheld like this goes live people will ask if it has steam os support not realising how much of a game library they are missing in by not using windows. Even Valve said it's atleast 30% or more and don't forget bad drivers in Linux and many proton twerks not working on intell devices and performance issues in all but a few games. Only witcher 3 seems better on it right now.
I think a comparison how long the battery life is between devices. It is something that is missing. There are a lot of performance vs price but not much about battery vs price. It is something that is very important for me. Great videos you do. Keep up the great work.
This is a grey area tbh. The 6800u may be more powerful than the steam deck but at lower tdps (lower than 9) the deck is slightly better. Any device with a 6800u and a battery of 40+whr is gonna give you good battery life in lower end games about 5~6, while to play not so heavy AAA games like sekiro at low 720p you will get 3~4 hours of battery. Playing something at high settings of a very heavy AAA game you will get 2 hours of battery life.
I am aware of this. So it would be very informative to have price, battery size, lowest tdp, highest tdp and what you can expect from it like how long it will run on lowest/highest and what kind of games it can handle.
@@shlokshah5379 good points but what you’re missing is cooling. If the cooling stinks and it’s throttling… doesn’t matter what the TDP is set at. I think that will go a long way into showing who ends up on top. I don’t mind fan noise if it gives me extra gaming time. But I l ow plenty of folks that would punch me in the face just for making that statement! 😂
The pc side hasn't been too compelling to me from what I've seen, but I'm happy to see this because it gives me a ballpark for Loki Zero and it's not like the dual channel ram on that device is going to propel this to a point where the pc gaming performance interests me. So I can likely ignore both for that use case. I'm still curious about emulation so the Batocera vid will be fun to watch. though.
Got an Athlon 200ge in my living room media pc, but with dual channel 3200MHz ram and yeah, you're right, it doesn't really like newer games. Emulation is hit and miss for a pc - Dolphin generally runs well, not to mention Dreamcast. KH birth by sleep for psp had too much input lag for me, runs great on early levels, gets choppy in late game with many graphical effects. I could probably get more out of it, but I would personally rather suffer through some choppiness sometimes than through low resolution all of the time. Ps2 is hit or miss - I've played it at 720p usually. KH2 is great, FFX is usually good, but in rare cases it's a slugfest for some reason. Still playable if you soldier through those cases. GT3 is great in most cases, but completely unplayable in Tokyo night race. GoW - forget it. Cemu - that one really surprised me, I really didn't expect much. You can hardly expect to run everything, but Mario kart 8, Paper Mario or Wind Waker HD run really well. It's the same cpu architecture, a bit lower clock speeds on paper, but 35W TDP, so a bit faster in practice. You'll see what Russ thinks of the handheld experience though.

@@misterkeebler that's what I hate the most about these pcs as you just have to pre order one without seeing how good they are. I get why Ayn may do it and I still hate them for that but why is aya doing it too and Onexplayer too? Gpd had a glow up and shipped the these reviewers before opening pre order. Atleast give us blue prints for the loki. It will probably have extra buttons but none of the renders show it. All windows handheld need a button for an on screen keyboard, a slider for game pad or mouse mode,windows button and power centre button with the obvious sound and power button plus points for escape or esc.
Thanks so much for the efforts. My win600 is coming tomorrow and I am so excited. I ordered Loki Zero but it won't be in my hands in at least 5 or 6 months. So all these trash talks about the win600 seems ridiculous to me since the competition for this handheld is non-existent in most parts of the world. People say it's $100 more than its worth but I think 6 months of waiting time is worth way more than the $100 I overpaid.
Beware that ambernic has sent these reviewers products of better quality than they are giving to customers. We get glowy sticks while they get Lenovo ram and SSD. Taki udon has a video on it as most of the video is filled with complains I dont think it is worth the asking price. You can save up for loki max if you want.

Of course products in the far future are going to be better and more affordable. My unit is coming tomorrow so I will see if the quality is bad or not soon. I see why they charge 400 for this given the handhelds with better specs and a similar price are all 6+ months away and steam deck has a long queue. But it's really not a good deal if you can wait. If steam decks were available on shelves it would probably at least force them to cut the MSRP by 50 if not 100 USD.
You probably should as there is no reason not to. It's free and it is more clean than win 10. There are more feature and those are very easy to use while win 10 is clunky while using a touch screen or a controler.
Is it possible to improve the performance a bit by using Amernime Zone's custom AMD graphics drivers? Especially with older games with Directx 11 and downwards, they should perform better.
Been using CRU for years for laptop screen overclocking. I have an issue where I can see vertical line flicker on certain 60hz screens, bumping to ~70 makes it go away. You'd be surprised how many are capable of overclocking if they aren't boosted already at the factory. Some 60hz screens can go up to 90hz with no issues.

Russ, if you clock the RAM to 1800mhz the double data rate wizardry gets it to 3600mhz. That might cause some 3200mhz sticks to get unstable. It might be a good idea to correct that.
Yes, good catch. I've left a pinned comment noting the error. It also turns out that the device cannot clock at over 3200MHz, so the clockspeed will run at 3200 any time you choose 1600 or higher.
People have been hating the WIN600, but for me it has actually been quite a blast. Where else can I play Shadow Tactics, Football Manager and Genshin Impact on a handheld. Plus, with the Xbox Game Pass you can play a whole lot of games. Odin, Loki, and AYA Neo handhelds can not be easily purchased at the moment. And don't bring the Steam Deck into the argument, that thing costs 3x more expensive in my area.
bro i dnt know about the price in your country but i am from India and here for 400$ you can get a sd 8 gen1 phone + for 60-70$ gamesir X2 controller. you can find lot of unofficial ports on android cup head, hollow knight,darkest dungeon lot more you just need to visit lot of shady websites for that :)
razor controller maybe better but it cost almost double in my country, plus on that 400$ phone they give a 150W charger which full charges the phone in 15 min and battery would also last longer if you use Game pass/parsec

It's actually an awesome handheld ! It plays absolutely everything I throw at it, have put 16gb ddr4 and dedicated 4gb to vram and a 1tb ssd. I'm playing halo Master chef edition on there at the moment ! Loving it so far xD
I am not win 600 fan but nobody is shipping such a product yet(steam deck does not count as it is hard to get). Others have stated that they will begin shipping much later only. Hence anbernic has priced this cleverly.

These performance tweaks will be great for the Ayn Loki Zero. Sadly they won't start shipping orders until November and with my order# I'm probably sorting until Q1 2024. 😢 Do you plan on getting the Loki Zero or would we have to hope Ayn provides a review unit? Castle Crashers had done screen tearing. Is that happening on the device or is TH-cam messing with the footage?
The screen tearing in Castle Crashers was my capture card, it looks wonderful on the device itself! That's why I only tested a few games with the capture card before moving back to handheld footage. I ordered a Loki Zero and will definitely test it when it arrives!
@@RetroGameCorps why won't they send you a review unit tho. Even a 4 year old will know that after looking a good review a lot of people will pre order it. This is what happened last time with taki udon giving more than they can take and they started having shipping problems. If they get a review before geek or air plus then most people will buy from them insted. Also these renders have less buttons then what are needed for windows. I know that win 600 leaks didn't have these extra buttons but these are official renders.
Have you tried any debloat scripts? I use Chris Titus script as I don't like Microsoft spying on me for starters, but also because it disables useless telemetry processes which are phoning home while you're gaming. Could help a low power device quite a bit.
Would a program like ultimate windows tweaker tool help? Turning off a lot of the privacy and data collection type things to save on power consumption.

one thing i was able to do was flipped the screen in portrait mode, where i could have controllers up top like the steam deck,,,just had to reverse the controller settings
I'm a little confused about the custom resolution utility. Is this adjusting the screen's refresh rate or just capping games at 40fps. If it's the latter, won't you get screen tearing? The Anbernic site doesn't say anything about the screen supporting multiple refresh rates.
If you put your device down. Does it go to sleep after the stipulated sleep timing? Mine does not on windows 11. On Linux no problems but not many pc games are working on Linux like Nobara or I'm just having issues running them probably
Rus, have you been able to update steamos on win600 past 3.1? I get an error when checking for an update (others have noted the same issues) no matter if I'm on stable, beta or preview and cannot find any info about updating on the win600 specifically (and I'm waiting on an email back from Anbernic) Thank you retro corp. Hi, the process for the AYANEO Air will be the same as it is in this video, other than the fact that you won't have to install Windows 11 since it's already loaded onto the device. I've got extra performance using Razer Cortex and adding a RAM heatsink, thick thermal pad around the fan and obviously changing the provided thermal paste... Got a bit heavy, but temperature keeps around 60 at full speed

Question. Just ordered mine. 5030e. Adding 16gb ram as well. If I get a high end game...say....Red Dead 2. Would I want to set the TDPs to MAX? Say i keep it plugged up so battery isn't an issue. Would this max out the Win600s performance for a big game like that? Add some extra FPS? Or will it hit a mac and no matter what i set the TDP to it wont affect it much? Also, the ram I ordered is Crucial Vengence 3200mhz.is it possible to get it to read 3200 in bios or will it stick to 2400 or 2666mhz? Again, ignoring battery life. Eventually i plan to order a faster m.2 ssd to maybe help boost everything overall. Also for emulators does it help to top out the TDP settings? Match the refresh rate or lower it etc but have tdp maxed out for more power? If so it will be fun to see how maxed out i can get things running PC game wise and emu wise.
Yes, in the video I mentioned that I was able to get 3 hours, 42 minutes in SteamWorld Dig 2 with 5W TDP, so I would expect that to be about the best you can get.

I need to be able to play Quake and Doom for PC, not the crappy Android/ Retroarch ports. 3.5 hours on 5W TDP sounds like something I can live with. I am asking for help here, on the Win 600 device. When I boot Mercenaries 2 it doesn't work on controller mode, but it does work on mouse and keyboard. Strangely enough it does have Xbox 360 For Windows controller support, but for some reason it doesn't work in controller mode. Any suggestions? Please let me know, thank you..
Yes it looks promising -- I haven't had a chance to test the new drivers yet but I know it had some early issues with Citra and other emulators, so I wanted to wait until after this video to mess around with it.
Huge problem, Autistic son fell in love with this, but after 9 months of average use, the battery exploded and literally bent the case, Amazon won't do anything about it, and I cant' find a battery replacement. Any suggestions ?
From what I remember, you can already set custom display modes in the AMD Software, so I don't know why would you need to download any other software to do that.
The standard "custom resolutions" option within AMD's software is not available on this device, so it's not possible on the Win600 to make custom display modes.
RGB10 Max has a 5 inch screen and the same chipset as the 351P, but the screen is 16:9 so not exactly as ideal as 3:2. Still, it's a cheap option for a bigger screen, and 16:9 is not bad for GBA.
Just got mine and unable to install a clean version of Windows 11 as the wifi drivers aren't loaded and I get no option to select a wifi network so just stuck at that place!! Any ideas ?
Open it up, disconnect the battery, leave it for a minute then reconnect and put the back plate back on. Then try to boot up. Im not 100% sure but from what I read this may reset the RAM back to default. If you try lemme know if it worked.
@@fonzitheman Yeah I did this yesterday after reading more comments. It works. I also tried overclock to 1600MHz (because that's half of 3200), and it still black screens. Looks like I can't overclock RAM at all. Thinking of returning this device. It barely is capable of PS2 games.
@@Wavys Youre prob better off getting faster RAM than over clocking it although personally I dont think theres gonna be much of an improvement from vids I seen. I run Batocera on mine internally from a 2TB SSD. Through Batocera it runs most PS2,many at 2x. Hard ones like for eg God of war 2 at 1x and with speed hack enabled so it has its limitations. Got a few xbox games on it as well and even a handful of ps3,nothing 3D graphic though and you wouldnt buy one for that. Gamecube most run at 2x as well. Its decent for dpad gaming, not a fan of the analog sticks, not so much the position but the control, just doesnt seem very precise. Recently got the LCD steam deck cheap off a buddy that upgraded to the OLED model. Yeah, its bigger and heavier but defo way better to hold and use, the analog sticks are actually useable and ofcourse being more powerful its quite the emulation beast as well. Plays ps2 up 2x just fine, including God of War 2,no extra speed hack needed. Plays more ps3 as well.
@@fonzitheman Yeah I think I may invest in Steam Deck OLED, ROG Ally, or Lenovo Legion Go for my emulation needs. But I also haven't tried batocera yet, only been using a pre-installed retrobat emulator which can't run (Midnight Club II or Burnout Revenge for ps2) at 100% speed. Pretty annoying and I'm not sure if upgrading RAM and installing a different emulator are worth the hassle vs. just returning it and going a different direction.

Hi, great video. Could you help me? I overclocked memory as you did, save bios and it turn black Nothing happened, until i reset the bios. Set it to 1600 clock again, and again black screen and wont boot. By default its in auto mode, maybe dont touch it and system understand that ram is 3200, or what i can do else with this issue? Hey i overclocked my brand new anbernic win 600 just like u in the boot menu after i save n exit i got black screen and it wont turn back on but the fan is running idk what else to do can you give me some advice
Did you overclock the RAM? Then try this, open the back, disconnect the battery, leave it for a minute then reconnect it. This should reset it back to default, at least I think so. Worth a try.
There’s text onscreen right at the beginning of the video that says the flicker is from my camera settings and doesn’t appear to the naked eye. I meant to put it in the voiceover as well, but forgot while recording.
I have installed a 16GB Crucial DDR4-3200 1.2V CL22 SODIMM into my unit and when setting the frequency in bios to 1600 (or even 1800) the machine won't boot. The fans spin up but I get a blank screen!!! I have to remove the battery in order to get back into the bios - any ideas ?
Putting the stock ram back in while allow it to boot back up as well. I have 3200 RAM but couldn't set it to 1600 without this happening. I ended up going low and incrementaly increasing it until I found where it will still boot. Some people can set it to 1600 and some can't. I cant remember my setting now. It's like 1400 or something like that. Anything higher and I get a black screeen. Never found a work around or fix for this so I just deal.

Anybody know why my 3020e version throttles aggresively down to 9-10 watts after the temperature hits a mere 70 degree? It wants to stay to 65 degree. And no it stays at 9 watts even if it hits 65 degree again.

I have the same issue with 3200 crucial ddr4.... did you figure out why it black screens after setting the 16gb module to 3200mhz ? And yes you can just pull the battery and hold the power key on for 5 or ten seconds to reset the bios.
@@babylonhobbiesandfpv4862 Anbernic Win600 has issues with Crucial Rams. I ended up buying the same brand that came in the device (Silicone Power) 16GB 3200 for about 35$. Now it works perfectly

Correct same as 4000 series all you can do is tighten timings which can give up to 15% boost

All these upcoming windows handhelds should have windows 11 and all the other apps you mentioned. They may tweek it to get some other things like battery percentage and color options for the screen like using less colors to save power as if you are playing a 2d indie game you are probably not gonna need all the colors a screen can offer. They can also have the taskbar hidden or have steam big picture in boot. A seperate admin account and a account for epic game store or big picture can give you a console experience. After opening it just 2 taps you are in the steam menu! Or even the epic menu which the deck can't do without changing the os. Steam didn't build steam os to fit handhelds they just attached their name to it. When ever a handheld like this goes live people will ask if it has steam os support not realising how much of a game library they are missing in by not using windows. Even Valve said it's atleast 30% or more and don't forget bad drivers in Linux and many proton twerks not working on intell devices and performance issues in all but a few games. Only witcher 3 seems better on it right now.
I think a comparison how long the battery life is between devices. It is something that is missing. There are a lot of performance vs price but not much about battery vs price. It is something that is very important for me.

This is a grey area tbh. The 6800u may be more powerful than the steam deck but at lower tdps (lower than 9) the deck is slightly better. Any device with a 6800u and a battery of 40+whr is gonna give you good battery life in lower end games about 5~6, while to play not so heavy AAA games like sekiro at low 720p you will get 3~4 hours of battery. Playing something at high settings of a very heavy AAA game you will get 2 hours of battery life.
I am aware of this. So it would be very informative to have price, battery size, lowest tdp, highest tdp and what you can expect from it like how long it will run on lowest/highest and what kind of games it can handle.
@@shlokshah5379 good points but what you’re missing is cooling. If the cooling stinks and it’s throttling… doesn’t matter what the TDP is set at. I think that will go a long way into showing who ends up on top. I don’t mind fan noise if it gives me extra gaming time. But I l ow plenty of folks that would punch me in the face just for making that statement! 😂

The pc side hasn't been too compelling to me from what I've seen, but I'm happy to see this because it gives me a ballpark for Loki Zero and it's not like the dual channel ram on that device is going to propel this to a point where the pc gaming performance interests me. So I can likely ignore both for that use case. I'm still curious about emulation so the Batocera vid will be fun to watch. though.
The loki will have (arguably) the better ergonomics / build quality while being considerably cheaper, it's not all about performance in this case.
Got an Athlon 200ge in my living room media pc, but with dual channel 3200MHz ram and yeah, you're right, it doesn't really like newer games. Emulation is hit and miss for a pc - Dolphin generally runs well, not to mention Dreamcast. KH birth by sleep for psp had too much input lag for me, runs great on early levels, gets choppy in late game with many graphical effects. I could probably get more out of it, but I would personally rather suffer through some choppiness sometimes than through low resolution all of the time. Ps2 is hit or miss - I've played it at 720p usually. KH2 is great, FFX is usually good, but in rare cases it's a slugfest for some reason. Still playable if you soldier through those cases. GT3 is great in most cases, but completely unplayable in Tokyo night race. GoW - forget it. Cemu - that one really surprised me, I really didn't expect much. You can hardly expect to run everything, but Mario kart 8, Paper Mario or Wind Waker HD run really well. It's the same cpu architecture, a bit lower clock speeds on paper, but 35W TDP, so a bit faster in practice. You'll see what Russ thinks of the handheld experience though.

I get why Ayn may do it and I still hate them for that but why is aya doing it too and Onexplayer too? Gpd had a glow up and shipped the these reviewers before opening pre order. Atleast give us blue prints for the loki. It will probably have extra buttons but none of the renders show it. All windows handheld need a button for an on screen keyboard, a slider for game pad or mouse mode,windows button and power centre button with the obvious sound and power button plus points for escape or esc.
Thanks so much for the efforts. My win600 is coming tomorrow and I am so excited. I ordered Loki Zero but it won't be in my hands in at least 5 or 6 months. So all these trash talks about the win600 seems ridiculous to me since the competition for this handheld is non-existent in most parts of the world. People say it's $100 more than its worth but I think 6 months of waiting time is worth way more than the $100 I overpaid.
Beware that ambernic has sent these reviewers products of better quality than they are giving to customers. We get glowy sticks while they get Lenovo ram and SSD. Taki udon has a video on it as most of the video is filled with complains I dont think it is worth the asking price. You can save up for loki max if you want.

My unit is coming tomorrow so I will see if the quality is bad or not soon. Looking forward to playing with it and enjoying some indie games that are way too expensive on Switch.

I see why they charge 400 for this given the handhelds with better specs and a similar price are all 6+ months away and steam deck has a long queue.
But it's really not a good deal if you can wait. If steam decks were available on shelves it would probably at least force them to cut the MSRP by 50 if not 100 USD.

You probably should as there is no reason not to. It's free and it is more clean than win 10. There are more feature and those are very easy to use while win 10 is clunky while using a touch screen or a controler.
Is it possible to improve the performance a bit by using Amernime Zone's custom AMD graphics drivers? Especially with older games with Directx 11 and downwards, they should perform better.

Been using CRU for years for laptop screen overclocking. I have an issue where I can see vertical line flicker on certain 60hz screens, bumping to ~70 makes it go away. You'd be surprised how many are capable of overclocking if they aren't boosted already at the factory. Some 60hz screens can go up to 90hz with no issues.
Anbernic used to be the standard , now imo there sub standard. There last couple of handhelds have been overpriced for what they can achieve.

Russ, if you clock the RAM to 1800mhz the double data rate wizardry gets it to 3600mhz. That might cause some 3200mhz sticks to get unstable. It might be a good idea to correct that.

Yes, good catch. I've left a pinned comment noting the error. It also turns out that the device cannot clock at over 3200MHz, so the clockspeed will run at 3200 any time you choose 1600 or higher.

People have been hating the WIN600, but for me it has actually been quite a blast. Where else can I play Shadow Tactics, Football Manager and Genshin Impact on a handheld. Plus, with the Xbox Game Pass you can play a whole lot of games.
Odin, Loki, and AYA Neo handhelds can not be easily purchased at the moment. And don't bring the Steam Deck into the argument, that thing costs 3x more expensive in my area.
bro i dnt know about the price in your country but i am from India and here for 400$ you can get a sd 8 gen1 phone + for 60-70$ gamesir X2 controller. you can find lot of unofficial ports on android cup head, hollow knight,darkest dungeon lot more you just need to visit lot of shady websites for that :)
razor controller maybe better but it cost almost double in my country, plus on that 400$ phone they give a 150W charger which full charges the phone in 15 min and battery would also last longer if you use Game pass/parsec

I am not win 600 fan but nobody is shipping such a product yet(steam deck does not count as it is hard to get). Others have stated that they will begin shipping much later only. Hence anbernic has priced this cleverly.

Castle Crashers had done screen tearing. Is that happening on the device or is TH-cam messing with the footage?
The screen tearing in Castle Crashers was my capture card, it looks wonderful on the device itself! That's why I only tested a few games with the capture card before moving back to handheld footage. I ordered a Loki Zero and will definitely test it when it arrives!
@@RetroGameCorps why won't they send you a review unit tho. Even a 4 year old will know that after looking a good review a lot of people will pre order it. This is what happened last time with taki udon giving more than they can take and they started having shipping problems. If they get a review before geek or air plus then most people will buy from them insted. Also these renders have less buttons then what are needed for windows. I know that win 600 leaks didn't have these extra buttons but these are official renders.

Have you tried any debloat scripts? I use Chris Titus script as I don't like Microsoft spying on me for starters, but also because it disables useless telemetry processes which are phoning home while you're gaming. Could help a low power device quite a bit.

I'm a little confused about the custom resolution utility. Is this adjusting the screen's refresh rate or just capping games at 40fps. If it's the latter, won't you get screen tearing? The Anbernic site doesn't say anything about the screen supporting multiple refresh rates.
If you put your device down. Does it go to sleep after the stipulated sleep timing? Mine does not on windows 11. On Linux no problems but not many pc games are working on Linux like Nobara or I'm just having issues running them probably

I've got extra performance using Razer Cortex and adding a RAM heatsink, thick thermal pad around the fan and obviously changing the provided thermal paste... Got a bit heavy, but temperature keeps around 60 at full speed

I think this device will simply work better with Linux such as HoloISO or SteamOS.

Question. Just ordered mine. 5030e. Adding 16gb ram as well. If I get a high end game...say....Red Dead 2. Would I want to set the TDPs to MAX? Say i keep it plugged up so battery isn't an issue. Would this max out the Win600s performance for a big game like that? Add some extra FPS? Or will it hit a mac and no matter what i set the TDP to it wont affect it much?
Also, the ram I ordered is Crucial Vengence 3200mhz.is it possible to get it to read 3200 in bios or will it stick to 2400 or 2666mhz? Again, ignoring battery life. Eventually i plan to order a faster m.2 ssd to maybe help boost everything overall. Also for emulators does it help to top out the TDP settings? Match the refresh rate or lower it etc but have tdp maxed out for more power? If so it will be fun to see how maxed out i can get things running PC game wise and emu wise.

Yes, in the video I mentioned that I was able to get 3 hours, 42 minutes in SteamWorld Dig 2 with 5W TDP, so I would expect that to be about the best you can get.

I need to be able to play Quake and Doom for PC, not the crappy Android/ Retroarch ports. 3.5 hours on 5W TDP sounds like something I can live with. I feel like 25fps is playable, so I don't need crazy power. Thanks for replying!

I am asking for help here, on the Win 600 device. When I boot Mercenaries 2 it doesn't work on controller mode, but it does work on mouse and keyboard. Strangely enough it does have Xbox 360 For Windows controller support, but for some reason it doesn't work in controller mode. Any suggestions? Please let me know, thank you..

Yes it looks promising -- I haven't had a chance to test the new drivers yet but I know it had some early issues with Citra and other emulators, so I wanted to wait until after this video to mess around with it.

From what I remember, you can already set custom display modes in the AMD Software, so I don't know why would you need to download any other software to do that.

The standard "custom resolutions" option within AMD's software is not available on this device, so it's not possible on the Win600 to make custom display modes.
Is there any handheld that can emulate GBA games as well as the RG351P but has a bigger screen and still is affordable? :)
RGB10 Max has a 5 inch screen and the same chipset as the 351P, but the screen is 16:9 so not exactly as ideal as 3:2.
Still, it's a cheap option for a bigger screen, and 16:9 is not bad for GBA.

What screwdriver did you use to open the win600?
I used a standard phillips head screwdriver from the iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit. It's pricey but I love it. amzn.to/3qqndOE
Selected 1800MHz and my Win600 is black screen after “Save & Quit”. I have the 3200MHz model so I’m not really sure what to do
Open it up, disconnect the battery, leave it for a minute then reconnect and put the back plate back on.
Then try to boot up.
Im not 100% sure but from what I read this may reset the RAM back to default.

@@fonzitheman Yeah I did this yesterday after reading more comments. It works. I also tried overclock to 1600MHz (because that's half of 3200), and it still black screens. Looks like I can't overclock RAM at all. Thinking of returning this device. It barely is capable of PS2 games.

Youre prob better off getting faster RAM than over clocking it although personally I dont think theres gonna be much of an improvement from vids I seen.
I run Batocera on mine internally from a 2TB SSD.
Through Batocera it runs most PS2,many at 2x.
Hard ones like for eg God of war 2 at 1x and with speed hack enabled so it has its limitations.
Got a few xbox games on it as well and even a handful of ps3,nothing 3D graphic though and you wouldnt buy one for that.
Gamecube most run at 2x as well.
Its decent for dpad gaming, not a fan of the analog sticks, not so much the position but the control, just doesnt seem very precise.
Recently got the LCD steam deck cheap off a buddy that upgraded to the OLED model.
Yeah, its bigger and heavier but defo way better to hold and use, the analog sticks are actually useable and ofcourse being more powerful its quite the emulation beast as well.
Plays ps2 up 2x just fine, including God of War 2,no extra speed hack needed.
Plays more ps3 as well.
@@fonzitheman Yeah I think I may invest in Steam Deck OLED, ROG Ally, or Lenovo Legion Go for my emulation needs. But I also haven't tried batocera yet, only been using a pre-installed retrobat emulator which can't run (Midnight Club II or Burnout Revenge for ps2) at 100% speed. Pretty annoying and I'm not sure if upgrading RAM and installing a different emulator are worth the hassle vs. just returning it and going a different direction.

3200 at 1800? Are you sure? 1800*2 is 3600, aren't you stressing the ram by doing this?
Yes, good catch. I've left a pinned comment noting the error. It also turns out that the device cannot clock at over 3200MHz, so the clockspeed will run at 3200 any time you choose 1600 or higher.
Hey i overclocked my brand new anbernic win 600 just like u in the boot menu after i save n exit i got black screen and it wont turn back on but the fan is running idk what else to do can you give me some advice
Did you overclock the RAM? Then try this, open the back, disconnect the battery, leave it for a minute then reconnect it.
This should reset it back to default, at least I think so.

I have installed a 16GB Crucial DDR4-3200 1.2V CL22 SODIMM into my unit and when setting the frequency in bios to 1600 (or even 1800) the machine won't boot. The fans spin up but I get a blank screen!!! I have to remove the battery in order to get back into the bios - any ideas ?
Putting the stock ram back in while allow it to boot back up as well. I have 3200 RAM but couldn't set it to 1600 without this happening. I ended up going low and incrementaly increasing it until I found where it will still boot. Some people can set it to 1600 and some can't. I cant remember my setting now. It's like 1400 or something like that. Anything higher and I get a black screeen. Never found a work around or fix for this so I just deal.
Hi, have you noticed any performance improvement on Win600 with Windows11 instaled? Like the device dont heating so much or on battery duration only when you installed Win11 not with the other settings upgrades you made like TDP or refresh rate?

Anybody know why my 3020e version throttles aggresively down to 9-10 watts after the temperature hits a mere 70 degree? It wants to stay to 65 degree. And no it stays at 9 watts even if it hits 65 degree again.

Ive read some people say pulling the battery resets it? Cant confirm as I dont have one though.
I have the same issue with 3200 crucial ddr4.... did you figure out why it black screens after setting the 16gb module to 3200mhz ? And yes you can just pull the battery and hold the power key on for 5 or ten seconds to reset the bios.
@@babylonhobbiesandfpv4862 Anbernic Win600 has issues with Crucial Rams. I ended up buying the same brand that came in the device (Silicone Power) 16GB 3200 for about 35$. Now it works perfectly
