I really feel for Star Wars fans. As an outsider, I see a corporate entity grabbing cash while putting the franchise in the hands of untalented and inexperienced creatives who appear disinterested in the soul & legacy of Star Wars. And that must suck as a fan.
I feel like it’s more sinister than that. These people aren’t just being flippant about lore, they are intentionally antagonizing fans. Going out of there way to do blatantly slimy things, claim they are not doing it, then when the evidence is presented they just laugh and mock the fans. The anti-white male thing is a prime example: we could all see how aggressively they were shoving “diverse”, female and “queer presenting” characters with all white males being sidelined. When pointed out, that was just dismissed as insecurity and racism, then O’keefe exposes the Disney anti-white male policy, and now they are releasing videos mocking fans, outwardly admitting they don’t like white men and pretending that their racism is justified. It’s not. It never is.

While the “super speed” in ep 1 was too much I think it is reasonable that the force enhances physical abilities making Jedi faster, able to jump higher, etc. And other force powers, mind reading, shatter point, battle mediation, witch magic, old with rituals, etc, I think are good for the world. BUT they need to be limited, the writes need to make it clear those abilities require year or decades of specialized training and dedication. You can almost think about it like education the basic are: telekinesis, mind tricks, physical amplification, lightsabers and foresight/sensing. Every Jedi learns those and can use them then there are more advanced things shatter point, rituals, lighting, battle mediation, etc. These would reserved for Jedi masters who have a deeper understanding and connection to the force and have dedicated years/decades to the study, development, and practice of a couple specific abilities. This is basic game design logic, cool abilities require specialization. A master Jedi diplomat cloud have something like what squid game used on the crazy guy but his padawan should be decades away from that level of manipulation.
