Too the Movie Cynic: Thank you, thank you, thank you. I've been referring to the Sith as Darth Gimp here there and everywhere and absolutely no one is leaning to the obvious. And YES! the Pulp Fiction ref was also uttered. 🤐
Idk if you're aware but there's a woman labeled "Annalena 360" because she didn't know to turn around only took 180 degrees, a person considered capable of being the FM of Germany with her only education or skill was as a _trampoline_ "professional" athlete. They seriously have a woman who used to bounce -on pop- so sry, on a trampoline with no other education or experience responsible for their nation's foreign affairs. I'm sry, but it's hard not to share so I'm not the only one that suffers this burden of nutters having mental "little ppl" running our world into the ground while not being satire.
Platoon's latest video is Amazing, no wonder YT demonetized it.... Nothing will top learning about 'The Fall of the Roman Empire' or the history of the 'Whigs' but still very, very enjoyable.
If you don't know who DJ Peach Cobbler is, and you actually like learning about history and weren't just kidding around, check out his Fall of The Aztec series. He also has a series of videos about how ancient Rome felt about various surrounding cultures. He became an instant favorite channel for me.
1:42:32 the new 52 is when they lost me. Oh, you just updated everything so all of this stuff I was invested in with green arrows story it’s just gone. And as I pointed out somehow with everything going on Batman, still has all of the characters that he has collected over the years, but everybody else is starting out fresh.
Did the re-upload edit out the W.H. Auden poem quote/reference? I recall hearing it as I listened live and was looking forward to hearing it again. I remember the quote, but not the context. Also re 2:19:00, I respectfully would point out that I am a longtime member because it serves as almost a "fire and forget" way of superchatting. I wish I got more benefits, but for now at least I can feel like I'm superchatting without having to manually do it each time.
I still liked your titlecards that had, "...it's shit(e)..." somewhere in the title... Idk y, but now that you've stopped that naming convention I miss it.
Regarding copy right on covers. It depends on who you are covering, for example, Don Henley is famous for having any videos of covers of his music taken down. Even Rick Beato has mentioned it a bunch of times in his videos.
2:00:00 - They should never have shown Tarkin or Leia directly. They should have stuck with from-behind shots and the occasional relection off a screen or window.
lol "what is this DEI thing" oh man - have you been under a rock for the last 10 years?!? With all the constant attention this has been getting it was quite a shock to hear that - but maybe that's good - maybe it's just this part of the internet who are so focussed on this and it's actually gaining enough noise to reach further.
Keywords like DEI and ESG have gone so viral of late that its taken on a meaning of its own. Very few accurately report how they function. Neither has the power or influence you think it does (certainly not in swaying investors). There's no universal regulatory & enforcement body. It is for the most part, a highly advertised marketing/PR/HR internal corporate image initiative gimmick (in the wake of cancel culture.) Regarding *_ESG,_* every institution, securities fund, or even publications like Bloomberg; each have their own certifications and standards-most of which are primarily derived from the environmental footprint component. (A factor which, to be fair, many investors do care about.) But it's the stock market equivalent of *_vanity labels_* like _"Organic", ''Made from Recycled Materials", "Eco-Friendly"_ and other similarly broadly defined marketing labels. It's a PR gimmick, not some leftist agenda Cabal trying to sway investment trends. Heck, both Vanguard & BlackRock have dropped their (self-imposed & ill-enforced) commitments to "ESG Initiatives". Many TH-camrs are also mixing up financial incentives from government bodies with that of actual investment firms. What is often speculated about are governmental programs/incentives similar to Grants or Tax Credits for things like installing solar panels, buying an electric car, donations, etc...but it's a corporate tax credit for businesses who meet certain criteria. They have nothing to do with "ESG scores" (seeing as those are established by financial institutions themselves and others as mentioned). There is a wide variety of federal/state/provincial/etc, Tax Credits businesses can apply for when investing or allocating capital towards "Green" initiatives and various things which get broadly labelled under the portmanteau term "ESG" _by the public._ (Because that's the term many have come to recognise.)
Vex is actually wrong the promo pic of Superman wasnt fitted it was still all bunched up and wrinkled And it's funny she was hating on the cope of " it will look better in post" which i agree but thats what critic was saying earlier lol
You're all watching Star Wars wrong and it's now a gay product. The only thing your all need to do to enjoy it is Don't Ask Questions, Just Consume Product and Then Get Excited for Next Product and attack anyone who wants to watch a good writing TV Show and Movie, including The Critical Drinker, Mooler and Nerdrotic
Spoilersss........... Well I guess I was lied to about tagging your youtube comment as a spoiler so ....... well, the more scenes we got of green bean eather being an idiot or intentionally misleading the jedi the more I believed she was smilo. But it turns out the wasnt missleading the jedi, shes is just and idiot, she just made progressively worse decisions, i thought it had to be intentional
Please unlist the livestreams (like Mauler and Drinker do), instead of deleting them. I'm guessing I'm not the only one who can rarely watch shows live, but would greatly appreciate being able to watch them when I can instead of them disappearing until reupload. I'd very much appreciate it, if at all possible.
Answer for Media Geek's query: the film starring Harrison Ford & Kristin Scott Thomas is called 𝘙𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴, released in 1999. She played an American politician. I disagree with Vex on 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘮𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳-𝘔𝘢𝘯 outfits. The suit from the first one looked like a basketball (agree with Chris Stuckmann on that one), and while the second movie's suit was much better, I felt the white mask eyes looked too big & bug-eyed. My favorite is Tobey Maguire's suit in 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳-𝘔𝘢𝘯 2. Also, I liked learning more about Little Platoon's avatar & how it works.
Having more guests is cool and all, but honestly, a conversation with three people is far better. Really enjoying it.

I love how Mae leaves her beloved sister to be murdered by Smilo Ren. 180 after 180 with her. An absolute psycho
She forgot to take her meds off screen 😂

Job interview: “Are you disabled?” …asking for a friend.
Interviewee: “Does having a penis count? “

53:54 - Robert Downey, Jr., Val Kilmer, and Maggie Gyllenhal in "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang." A brilliant send up of a film noir detective story!
thanks for a bit of sanity in insane times ~~ 🎃
The Mega Geek: Welcome to our dystopian world that we live in, whether we wanted this or not. :) For what it's worth, you're most welcome here. lol
Glad to see this up now. Thanks for your very satisfying responses to my superchat, much appreciated.
I agree that Superman isn't a relic, and just keeping him hopeful will work, but the "hasn't been done right" argument was killed long ago.
Diss tracks are cringe enough when musicians do it among themselves but doing diss tracks on the people criticizing your series is a new low
It isn't great.
Thank you Vex for educating Cynic.
Talking super hero suits, I really liked Rorschach suit in Watchmen. Well suit is a bit much, the mask is really cool.
That was a great show everyone. Love you guys. ❤

"Spiderman 2 was a terrible film"
Movie Cynic: oh I totally agree
Superchat: Spiderman 2 was great
Movie Cynic: Oh I totally agree great film
My mix up. I thought Mega leapfrogged to Amazing Spider-Man 2, which is a terrible movie. Spider-Man 2 (2004) though was great.
Regarding audio books, I think it all depends on who is reading if I fall asleep or not.
Ahh, I've missed Vex. The Brown Magic Bonus Hole.

Somebody let vex know there is a great audiobook version of Dune read by Tim Curry.

Even after the reveal Ezra could be a fake out. Whoever it is it's lame.

I disagree with mega, the original Superman costume is dated as hell. Gimme Cavill's all day everyday
Movie Cynic is internet culture war critic boyfriend
Tombstone = #1 western of all time IMO
Regarding fav movies, E.T is great but I think I liked Close encounters better.
Tesco's emailed me and offered me 3 months of Disney+ for free so at least the kids can watch Bluey again.
Did you go for it?
@@MegaSpideyman yeah I'm from Yorkshire it's free how could I resist?
Well as a parent it's your job to protect them so... yeah. Your call I guess but I wouldn't let my kid anywhere near Disney+
@@samuel5591 they only really watch Bluey and Muppet Babies but I take your point....
Potentially hot take
Raimis spidermans aren't actually that good if you watch them critically

This podcast would be good if Vex Electronica wasn't always on it. She renders it unwatchable.

What do you mean? It's a re-upload.
SPOILER
It seems Little Platoon was right about Smilo Ren, the stupidest option was indeed the one chosen.
