This was probably one of the most terrifying thing in mainstream DC comics I've ever seen to see such a troubled hero become such a corrupting monster.

Hal made an appearance in the justice league series. i forget what episode it was, but there's an episode where the legionnaires go back in time and team up with supergirl to stop some time thief guy. along the way time has disruptions and one of them has John being replaced with Hal.
hate to correct u but at 4:40 to 5:05, it's not because they are "tethered to Batman in some way" the characters that got Black Lantern rings are the ones who were previously dead and Nekron let them get back to life so when the attack starts they would be like double agents
So, I had an idea while listening to the last Blackest Night video: what if, rather than just outright death, the Black Lantern is the emotional embodiment of Despair? Pure, unadulterated despair, without a cause from the seven natural emotions. In the same way, the White Lantern could be the embodiment of pure happiness, or satisfaction.
Definitely a cool idea. Because of the fact that William "Black" Hand, and Necron are both leaders and manifestations of death (in a sense) it does seem pretty clear that the Black Lantern rings represent death. However, death is not an emotion - unlike all of the other lantern corps - so you may be on to something.
Maybe that's because color black is really a lack of color. The absence of emotions. Death. While the color white represent life because it's all emotions. In my opinion that would be less clever to have lack of color (emotions) represent one of them. Cobined emotions don't give you happiness and the lack of them don't give you despair.
Guy gardner, a red lantern ring and a green Lantern ring. The power of will and wrath. The two just feed off and amp eachother. Pretty sure green and red lantern Guy Gardner is Hella beyond omega level
but later it is stated that it never was batman's body, but a cloned body (that was revealed in batman R.I.P. i think it was). but in rebirth they retconned that dr Manhattan had something 2 do with and why the prophecy still came through, but not with the real batman's body

Rob I think you need to do a video on two things 1) The deputy lanterns of the various lantern corps, this would be a awesome video 2) explain why Barry Allen in this story is actually not Barry as he is stuck in the speed force out racing death, this to me is the most confusing part in DC right now and a lot of people don't get it

I fucking love Guy Gardner, he is such an asshat, but deep down he really is a good guy and will fight to the bitter end for what he believes in. I like my heroes like that, flawed but passionate.
