Damn, with the complicated father-in-law-son-in-law relationship Batman shares with Ra's, I don't even want to imagine what their political discussions during Christmas dinners must be like...
Rose Wilson: "You are very good, Damian Wayne, but your predecessor is better without any doubt" Damian Wayne: "I expected you to say that. Tim told me about the "iconic visit" you made to his bedroom when Geoff Jons wrote your adventures" Rose Wilson: "Hmmm..."
I also love in the DCeased universe where Rose and Jason get married, and when Damian returns to Earth, he’s like, “Welcome to the family, Rose! You’ll fit right in, especially if you brought complex, unresolved father issues.” And she’s like, “I brought so many.”😂😂😂
Speaking of Deathstroke, I love that his bloody feud with the Teen Titans was started by this: Grant Wilson: "DADDY, SOME BAD TEENS BULLIED ME IN FRONT OF MY CRUSH!!!" 🥺 Deathstroke: "What?! I'm not going to let some brats make fun of my son! Get in the car, Grant! I'm going to teach them the lesson their irresponsible parents didn't!!!"
What are you talking about? Didn't deathstroke just take up the contract after ravager died because of his weird powers? Because I greatly would love to see a sooky grant complaing to daddy, thats so funny lol and way funnier than his dad just taking on the contract after lmao
I've noticed that in several videos it's been mentioned that Damian went back to Gotham (stupidly) and got Alfred killed. But that leaves out that Bruce sent Damian into Gotham. When telling Selena the plan, Bruce says, "I reached out to the family. Gotham girl was weakening. Once the venom was mine we could move. Alfred escaped my father, creating a need for a hostage. ***Damian played the fool. He went in got captured. Once inside the cave he can let in his brothers and sisters.*** While we take the the city. While we take Bane." (City of Bane part 7) Damian didn't just willy nilly go into Gotham. Instead, he followed Batman's plan, and used a tactic that had succeeded in prior missions. He allowed himself to be captured, again following Batman's plan. Which is for me a disconnect with Shadow War and Batman Vs Robin. Damian has acknowledged and sought forgiveness for his actions, but Batman and the family haven't taken responsibility for their parts in the plan. Damian became their scapegoat and so far there has been no resolution.
I wouldn't expect Batman to take the blame for anything. He's usually presented as a moral paragon who always takes the third path. Even if it was his plan to get back into Gotham in the first place....
@Lord Biscuit the Tossable I don't know that Bruce is always painted as a paragon. He's been called a fascist in a recent trailer, "educated" on economics by Yara Flor, "shown up" by Jace, presented as homophobic-while simultaneously bi (wink, wink), labeled emotionally stunted and either a neglectful or abusive parent,, implied to be greedy for not giving away (more) money, unconcerned with safety of everyday people (aka pro rioter) etc. In this case, it just breaks the "reconciliation" that is supposed to be the foundation of the story, and frankly paints the rest of the family in a poor light---especially if Dick was never told the plan.
Batman: sends Damian into Gotham. Damian: gets captured according to plan. Bane: kills Alfred like he said he would. Damian: *mental health problems due to trauma* Batman: How dare you get Alfred killed.
I’m a little confused on respawn’s origins. In deathstroke inc he was a damian clone that was injected with slade’s dna, which would mean he has Bruce, talia, and slade’s dna. In other books it makes him seem like just talia and slade’s dna. Which one is correct? I would think that the former would be correct because respawn looks like Damian, who already is said to look like Bruce when he was younger.
Yeah that never made sense to me either! Why does he look like Damian if Damian is basically the spitting image of a young Bruce? That just doesn’t check out. I don’t know the answer to your question, but it’s a very good question.
I really like Ra's, honestly. He's such a multi-faceted character and you kinda just want him do well? Like he's going about it the wrong way but he's got a pretty decent reasoning.
Just to be clear, it IS the name "Gambi" in the story, right??? Like, they used the name of the character I 1st HeardOf in the Black Lightning show on CW?.?
I was so hyped for this story just to have a shity ending where Deathstroke immediately come back to life in a hour and Talia just gets to leave on her marry way made this whole story a jerk off and waist of time

"Sooooo... Murder?"
"DAMMIT, RA'S, NO!"
A bloodbath

Maybe Slade don't know that.
Gotta say, its nuts how Bats was tryin so hard to be loyal to Selena when she cheated on him w/ Ghostmaker
We're talking about a guy that dresses as a bat He's not well put together mentally

Man this was such a ride from start to finish.
Absolutely loved it!!!

Thank you for this context.
Batman: sends Damian into Gotham.
Damian: gets captured according to plan.
Bane: kills Alfred like he said he would.
Damian: *mental health problems due to trauma*
Batman: How dare you get Alfred killed.
Let's be honest batman's a really really bad dad

i love how the only thing to distract batman was his son saying he has a girlfriend
Batman 😎👍
goated
Imagine a world without a BATMAN
@BasketCase420 may he rest in peace so true .iss the guy
*miss
I love these vids.
Comicstorian NEVER disappoints 🤔👍
Williamson has nailed Damian’s character. Props to him

When I tell you I thoroughly enjoyed this esp the ending. Well done Team
Wow . The Death of someone who has died an uncountable number of times. Gee I wonder if he might resurrect.
If he still had a body:/
He's a smart guy. He could have left a spare finger he could be regenerated from.
Damien can’t say Batman was responsible for Alfred’s death and then get pissy when Batman throws it in his face
Deathstroke and Batman are so good they could solo everyone in this issue!
28:30 damn thats some amazing voice acting
I'm going to create a custom mcfarlane figure called Longstroke. He is going to have one eye too
NGL, for a sec I was convinced that Death Stroke imposter is Jason Todd
Same
Very well written original story I totally did not see that villain coming
We miss you, Benny. Rest In Peace
Frickin’ Geo Force. At it again.
"Death to Deathstroke" random nobody says fool that will only make him stronger! Twice the man? No twice the death! 😂😂😂
Deathstroke always be hardcore especially on teen titans tv show slade Wilson
You narrated your ass off on that respawn death !!!!
Almost a cool reveal. I liked the villians motivations though. Heartbreaking stuff.
When you think about it, he's not really a villain He's an anti hero doing what actually should be done
Woah, why would Black Canary even consider their offer/help the League of Shadows?
I really wish they'd stop the over use of the smudge or blur tool (think it's Tevor/howard's comic art.)
Is this a repost? I believe i have already listened to this story.
This needs to be an animated movie
RIP to a legend
Ngl, I’m tired of how big Batman’s family is getting.
Fr
We love it. Stop hating.
Such an amazing story
Thanks
Can you do the sonic comics and deathstroke Inc and continue TMNT?
Just to be clear, it IS the name "Gambi" in the story, right???
Like, they used the name of the character I 1st HeardOf in the Black Lightning show on CW?.?
Does anybody know where the link for the next story event is because I can never find it
Did not see that coming.
CAN you PLEASE do Batman Legends of the dark knight Dirty Tricks. It's when he fights this villain called the magician. I thought it was cool
Ye Bruce is for Selina and Selina is for Bruce♥️♥️
Its funny cuz Selena cheated on Bruce with Ghostmaker
Geoforce is completely justified tbh
Not only is he justified, but he's right, and if he told the rest of the world what went down, they would revolt against batman with no hesitation
RIP Benny
Wait I’m confused the story was good but doesn’t deathstroke have a healing factor?
I think he lost it not too long ago
45:00
Haha, never would've expected the reveal
Deathstroke is a Batman villain
Geoforce as the final boss was kind of a shit reveal tho
Geo force didn’t deserve to be wasted like this
13:34 Why is Angelbreaker drawn with a massive bulge 😅. I know what its supposed to be, but it really doesn't look right.
Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhh
