Nice!! Found myself smiling on your way back as if I was riding! Lol just knowing I have a 60v 35 ah battery already and a 2kw Motor kit en route I’m sure I’ll get the speed I need. Whenever the e&co controller is back I should be close to this speed! Not ready for 50 yet At All myself lol
What’s the range and how much did the battery cost
so happy you adressed the ttr!1 but keep up the content man! we love it!
I ran into your channel due to your bike carrier vid and wow...what a fun channel, had to subscribe...you're having too much fun! lol
I just upgraded the batteries on my RSF650 from 60v 170 amps max discharge to 72v 240 amps max discharge. I'm waiting on my new controllers. So I might have to run my KVD7212nx for a bit .
Your bike.. is going to be insane!
@PatOutdoors I hope it will have more high-end torque. Are you on the FB modified razors group? I have pictures of my RSF650 and the MX650's that I built my son's.
...hey pat ,them was some cool ass ad's...I can't believe I said that!!!!
😊:i peep.. the bike upgrades..:Nice work..:I been slow upgrading my mx 650..:Putting 72v 3000 w w/ battery 72v 30ah.....:Had to cut & reweld my rear shock.. but its almost there w/ the final wiring..😊
so fun with this little bikes!
I upgraded mine (mx650)
52V- 24ah
Mophorn/ Vevor 1.8kw motor
*Be aware that throttle on this kit is really "touchy"
Sprocket/Gears: At the beginning it had 90T / 13t (6.92 G.R) topping off @ 33mph/ 215lb / flat roads- it is really "torquie"
Now is running with 65T/11T
(5.90 G.R) topping off @32mph -210lbs
So I didnt knew that my controller was maxxed out already when had the 6.92GR😂. So I'm going back to 90/13 sprockets, way more efficiently on the grass/mud/ road.
* Idk at this point if upgrade my controller to get more power from this 1.8kw motor, also considering getting bigger battery and probably ending frying this motor😂.
Pretty much where I’m at with both my MX650 72v set ups.. just gonna upgrade my motors when they eventually fail
Awesome
The build is fire I finished building mine last month I'm running the ec4p ,Kelly controller, 76v 24ah batter I hit over 50mph like 55mph
Thank you sir! And congrats on your build. What front sprocket size are you using?
@@PatOutdoors well I'm only 16 so u dont have to call me sir but I recently went from the stock razor chain to 8mm chain I'm running a 15 tooth motor sprocket and for the rear 72 teeth it's the perfect balance between speed and torque I would definetly recommend it😁😁😎
Appreciate the tip! @@ccsurep
How much range do you get with the 76v 24ah battery @ccsurep
60mph feels like 90mph on these bikes honestly 🚀
You should think about eliminating the freewheel with the threaded hub sprocket mount. You'll never break it, they're cheaper and you could upgrade to Regen braking someday. You should look at grin technologies, check out their products features and see if you could get their stuff to work on your bikes it would be cool to see Regen brakes and you messing with the field weakening and making your bike the fastest razor on the planet. I've only seen their displays and controllers on ebikes. They look a lot faster than you'd expect with the voltage that they're using. I've never seen anyone on TH-cam put the Cycle Analyst display and the Phaserunner on a razor. You could be the first.
Only thing that's stopped me from eliminating the freewheels on my Razor's is range since I did a lot of longer-distance rides with my buddies. But this bike I am interested in trying it out. I'll look into Grin Tech! Thanks for the input
Hits 48mph “wow this thing consistently hits over 50” 😂
Lol that's what happens when I have to many beers sometimes
@@PatOutdoors 😂 😂
Hey Pat, doea your 3 speed switch work now? Your previous video you said you didnt notice when switching between 1-3. Thanks for this video 😊
I didn't change the settings on the tune, all (3) of them are at 100% speed so no function change between 1-3 for me at this time.
I'd love to shoot you some settings on the kelly to try.
I’d love for these settings please sir
Hi pat, I recently purchased the rear taillight and 1pz handle bar switch from your affiliate links and wanted to ask if you had a wiring diagram of how you hooked everything up to your other 72v razor?
Tail lamp wiring:
. Ground - Black
. Brake light input - Red
. Tag / Running lamp - Green
. Right turn signal input - Yellow
. Left turn signal input - Brown
Please follow the switch manufacturer diagram for the rest. Keep in mind these 12v accessories must be getting 12 volt input only, NOT 48-72V. So you must run a voltage step down converter.
Are you using the stock razor chain and rear sprocket on the mx650? Or is that a t8f chain? I'm thinking of throwing on my t8f sprockets and chain. Nice vid btw
I am for now, though it definitely needs to be upgraded ASAP..
@@PatOutdoors Alright yeah im def gonna throw on the upgraded sprocket
How was it ordeering a battery from amhorage ? I talked to a guy that got one made by them for his ebox2.0 and seemed kinda sketchy? How did you order?
I thought it was sketch at first, but I've been emailing info@Amorge and they always get back to me within 24 HRs so I stopped being skeptical. I ordered two batteries from them and paid via Paypal
How's the vevor 1800w motor holding up? I want to run a 72v on my vevor 2000w but im worried it will fry the motor
Honestly I'm gambling on this one. I would usually recommend using at least a 3000W motor for this kind of controller and battery, but I use this set up on both my bikes and haven't failed yet. Though I'm not expecting it to hold up for a long time and plan to just upgrade the motor to an EC4P or 5000W MY1020 once it (eventually) fails in the future.
Hello Pat I need your help wiring the keyed volt switch on the stock mx650. I need to know what wires I need to connect to the controller and what needs to be done to bypass the stock on and off switch. Please and thank you
@zuhu2328 This is something I've never actually done since I've always jumped to aftermarket controllers right off the bat and unfortunately I don't have any stock controllers anymore to review. But it should be pretty simple. There are only three wires from any keyed voltmeter (ground, power in, power out.) Ground just shares the same ground source as the controller and power in shares the same 36V source as the controller also. Power out goes to the signal wire that turns on the controller (same thing the on/off switch would do if it was present.) All that happens when you turn the key on in this case, is complete the 36V signal from the battery to the controller signal wire.
Im currently working on a razor mx650 build and I want to know if i can run a 3000w controller with a 2000w motor and battery without damaging anything internally?
Yes, you can. It will just shorten the life long-term. Motors are cheap, batteries are the most expensive part of these builds. This is technically pushing almost 5,000W peak with a 60-amp BMS at 84 Volts full charge. I'm planning on just swapping out the motor for an EC4P when it (eventually) fails.
hi pat,
I have a Razer mx650 and I’m putting in the 2000 watt motor what chain and sprocket would you recommend?
What battery voltage, what is your rider weight, and what is the target top speed?
Battery voltage is 48volt and the rider weights 100 and the top speed target is 30-35mph and thanks for the quick response
What rear sprocket are you using ?
This one is still the stock one
Im going to up grade my razor mx 650 im getting motor that is 72v 3000 what size battery would i need
At least 20 AH with a 60+ Amp BMS
I have a 72v 35 ah battery with a 3000w hub motor. I have a cheap 50a controller and get around 40. Any tips to go around 55?
Better controller
& high amp rating battery
What is the range for this build? And how much was the battery ?
Haven't done a range test on this bike yet, but same battery specs on my other 72V bike gets about 45 miles if BABY the throttle the whole time, cut that in half if I'm full throttle majority of it. This battery was made by Amorge, about $450 shipped.
Hello, how many miles can you go with that model of battery
Depends how much you hammer it, but at least 25 miles. 40 if I’m going super slow the whole time
Street tires, electrocyclegarage forks and bolt on swing arm. Ec4p and a fardriver.... let's see it happen 😅 compare it to that new 60v electric (thing 😉) you ordered
Shhh I know you know all about what I got 🤫
I’d like to try out that electro cycle fork
@PatOutdoors yeah man it's a great deal as it's a complete bolt on kit aswell as there swing arm extension. Pretty sick stuff for an incredible price. Both together is about the price of the first Hydro Forks you got from someone
Damn bro your notification are on LOCK
@JonnyDuzzit always here to support the homies who support me 😉. Funny thing is I don't have notifications on but since I run my 2 yt channels, my razor one has all of us in its algorithm lmao 😅
What is the tune on the controller. Is it jus the pre tune
Electro & co tune
Hey, what did you need to do to the battery in order to make it compatible with the kelly controller?
Nothing gets done to the battery.. you mean changing settings on the Kelly controller? Or did you mean a physical connection?
@@PatOutdoors The physical connection. Do you need to cut and change the wire connectors like you do one the motor, or is it just straight plug in.
@@camilomora3580 Kelly controllers take ring terminals. So you just cut off whatever battery connector you currently have and install ring style connectors on the battery wiring to mount it on top of the Kelly controller
@@PatOutdoors what did you have to do in this case to the amorge battery
@@camilomora3580 I bought an XT60 pigtail connector and installed ring terminals on it: amzn.to/4b0Eggm
Also how many wats is your vevor motor?
1800 watts, but currently being ran at almost 5000 watts.. likely not gonna last a long time, but will just upgrade it once it eventually fails
What size is the battery?
20 Amp Hour with 60AMP BMS, Size: 6x6.5x8.5 inches
hey man so my throttle is sticky, any suggestions on what to do?
What kind of throttle is it? Electro & Co? Stock? Other aftermarket? Some aftermarket ones from amazon/ebay need to be positioned perfectly straight before tightening to the handlebar, otherwise will cause internal drag.
@@PatOutdoors i bought this one off of amazon, it looks like the throttle from your recent scooter video
@@PatOutdoorsso i figured out the throttle, but now i need help figuring out what size rims the mx350, if u remember can u tell me?
The new wolf king GTR, I’m thinking you may have order?
Been watching soo many videos of it. It's a beasttttt
Sooo I just found out about that after I ordered my “bike”
@@PatOutdoors hey no hints lmao 🤣
your parts list says you are on an 1800w motor. how are you achieving 50mph with just an 1800. i know gearing can help but most people only experience up to 40mph even with a 3000 and upgraded front sprocket
Kelly controller settings and higher amp output battery 72v. Could also be that I’m 170 lbs.. it’s the 15-tooth sprocket mostly and I don’t recommend this set up. I suspect it will get the motor hot quickly with enough ride time
@@PatOutdoors i se thank you for the reply. do you think its feasible with a 3000W? so far the route i was going to go to for sure hit 50 was the 11000w kit form electric co but that is so expensive and i cant believe it would take that monster of a motor to take a bike to that speed (as they say their 5000w kit will only hit 40s)
Sent you an email sir.
Please resend it, can’t find a recent one from you
can you say anything about the longevity of the batteries? How long would you expect to keep a battery and use it normally?
Well my other 72v bike with battery has had a 2000w brushless motor, and Kelly controller for almost a year now and still good, but starting to feel sluggish lately. Battery is still holding charge similar to how it did last year, but the motor will likely burn out soon and be replaced with a 3-5000W motor replacement. Hopefully that gives you some insight
