Hey man, been following your good content and razor build since you started. Thanks for the honest transparency and also for confirming the quality of Amorge. Was on the fence, but now I will order my 72v. Assuming you are from the USA, how long did it take to ship and I read in the fb groups that shipping via sea instead of air can make it even more affordable. If it isn't too personal to ask, could you tell us how much your total cost was and the shipping prices?

  • @imho7250

Nice sacrifice. Hopefully you got her all wrapped back up nice and neat.
Those LiShen cells seem to be pretty good. I think some of my fake P42A are actually LiShen because they match what Mooch measured on his tests. The fake is so good that its hard to tell if its just degraded P42A or these LiShen cells. He rates both of these cells at 30a CDR, but thats not in real world conditions.
I recently tested my Legit P42A and the first test day of arrival i had a fan blowing on the cell and it discharged at 20a continuous and only got up to 42c. Then I tested both the real and fake P42A in simulated real world conditions. Starting at 30c, wrapped in insulation that mimics being surrounded by other hot cells, wrapped in fish paper, plastic, PVC shrink wrap and inside a battery box, and discharged until it reached 60c, which is as high as I would go since I’m not racing for money. Lol
Im designing my 5p battery for 60a continuous, 150a peak. I would say that battery there probably can realistically handle 100a continuous in the summer and then all higher values would have a time limit. Such as 160a for 8minutes, 200a for 2 minutes, 240a for 1 minute. 300a 10 seconds. The key point is, while riding the battery will only heat up, and once hot you would need to turtle mode at 30a to get home and get the pack back in the air conditioning.
I also ordered that same type of buss system, and even though the minimum 0.3mm thickness is plenty for a properly arranged battery like that one and like mine, I chose 1.0mm thick because after shipping is added the cost for extra thickness seems insignificant.
But if you want ro get a feud started, ask if 0.3mm copper sandwich between the cell and nickel is better than 0.3mm, 0.5mm or 1.0mm copper sitting on nickel pedestals are best and break out the popcorn. Lol
I do like the way they used the BMS wires evenly distributed along the negative collector. I probably would have liked to see them use the wires leaving the BMS and going to a 5:1 splice as it’s designed, but i guess if you use AWG4 wire along the output and on the positive collector bus, you have a better chance to get a good solder job.
Smart BMS are dirt cheap now. $100 for an ANT 200a/500a. Not sure what that adds over the cost of the dumb BMS but generally worth it just to see what’s really going on inside your $700 battery. My smart BMS already paid for themselves in helping me troubleshoot and care for battery.
I do know the fear of ordering anything custom from china. I prefer the go to site, choose each option (cells brand/model, BMS, bus, AWG and connector type size, but the same thing can be done with messaging to aliexpress, alibaba etc. its the holding your breath for 1 month until it arrives thats hard. Lol
Thanks for the review. Hopefully you can give another review but i think without a smart BMS theres not much you can report. It’s going to deliver the amps, but whats cell differential? Its going to get hot, but how hot we won’t know.

    • @ReuterLithium
      @ReuterLithium  ปีที่แล้ว

Wow now that’s a reply! I can happily report battery is back together and is being used constantly. There’s a lot of ways to do and I love how fast this world is changing! Seems like you could build a battery and a month later there’s a better way to do it.

Tough question to answer without knowing what you intend on using it with, motor/controller. My Surron battery has been super reliable, but it fits terrible in most applications outside of Surron. It also lacks that punch that the Amorge batteries have. Copper for parallel connections becomes a danger the more P members. If a cell fails the others will violently dump current in. I like using thin nickel for P connections as another safety. You can’t trust the CID to work, might be too late when the cell is venting.

@@ReuterLithium i wanted to see someone make a video on comparing the insides like magnet count rotor size and copper windings. maybe weigh the cases?, I think they will be very similar until you get to the really lower wattage ones like 1200 1000w would be nice to see what e&c did to the 3000w compared to the stock vevor, again sorry about what i said earlier but i know how Utube is and don't understand why they removed two diff. comments from me? are we not allowed to post links in comments?

I honestly am not sure about posting links. Makes me wonder if they flag it as a scam if you post links in comments so they removed both?

Dont think its a good idea to name your channel something so close to a famous channel thats been around for quite a long time and has a pretty cult following., wouldnt think that yyour channel would ever get off the ground no matter what interesting stuff you do..

Valid. I’ve been thinking about that for months now.

This battery looks like Chinese garbage. They say they use p42a molicell but these are Samsung 40t. I bet the cells they use are not even genuine Samsung cells most likely Chinese cells with Samsung labels. Also the positive terminal sitting directly above the negative terminal with nothing but tape separating the two is insane. If the tape melts or gets punctured it's a fire waiting to happen..

I had this specific one built with Lishen cells

Lishen cells perform very similar to p42a. Calm down kid, watch the video he says Lishen, not Samsung or molicel.

No they aren't molicels, but they perform near as good. Their discharge is within what the specs they advertise. Any exposed wiring can be fixed with less than $1. For something that would cost $1200 priced at $500. You're really just being arrogant. If not, I'm sure everyone here would love the link to your site for your batteries built with molicels and high discharge BMS and no imperfections for the same price.
