I have one the only problem is the seat is way too hard so I got a seat gel cover, for regular bike seat took my seat off wrapped it around taped it underneath and put my seat back on and now I'm comfortable
I used a box buzz free wheel it's insanely good instead of the stock one having like 20 something clicks this one has like 100 or something. Super fast engagement
I've never heard of it I'm deff going to check that out. I have tried out the white industry freewheel but it still have that catch up to engage feel so for now I'm happy with the welded freewheel
I have 3 of these welded the freewheel on 2! Didn’t turn out well for me!! Chain popped and locked up the tire, that shit through me and my 2 yr old about 15 feet!! I was using the stock motor, idk if a upgraded motor will make a difference.. is the upgraded motor capable of free spinning itself as fast as the wheel
Yes the upgraded motor is brushless which spins more freely and has alot more power to keep it spinning. I think for stock applications the freewheel will work just fine. I'm pushing decent power so I did not like the way the freewheel had to catch up when im doing 30mph
Would you happen to know which wire on the 3 speed throttle is for the LOW speed setting? I’m building this same bike for my teenage son and want him to be on LOW only for a while. Thanks in advance!
Mode 1 (low) is going to be the blue wire coming from the 3speed switch. Not all throttles are the same best to look at the wiring diagram for whatever throttle you have.
Has anyone tested regen braking with a welded freewheel on a razor? I ride up and down some of the steepest hills in the country so it’d be awesome to get a little charge back on the downhills while saving the brakes a bit!
Yes it works, i currently have it on my setup now. If your running a kelly kvd all you need to do is change the parameter for tps regen current I run it at 5-6%
@@RemcosFPV nice! Good to know. Eventually I’ll probably be upgrading to a Kelly Controller but for now I’m rockin a cheap ass china 3,000w. Most of these cheap controllers aren’t setup for regen stock but many of them are capable of it. There are pins on the board to solder wires to for connecting regen switch. I imagine It won’t have the precise control required to make regen work correctly on a chain drive setup like this though. Thanks for the info!
I just built my sx500 and was hella on the fence about welding the freewheel, this video made my decision Edit: btw, whats your motor and controller setup?
Damn that things so clean and quiet, im assuming the electro&co 5kw kit? Makes me really want an mx the torque looks fun. Definitely convinced me to weld the freewheel on my rsf 😁🤘
Thanks man it is the e&c kit. It deff has more in it but I was taking it easy in the vid.. been watching your build vid on your bike. Might have to pull the trigger on one soon haha
@@RemcosFPV for sure i could tell you were going easy. haha front pops up like its nothing 😁🤘 and right on bro thanks for watchin ill be checkin out your vids from now on too 🤙 the qs swap is amazing man i still think the encoders have a little ways to get before perfection but mines feeling pretty dialed right now, worth it for sure. Thank you. They are just some pro tapers . And I had a renthal pad laying around and I used that to match the color on my bike I didn't like the yellow from the pro tapers

@@RemcosFPV how long have you been running welded Free wheel does it affect the motor going the other direction?
@@Smokey00 I've been running it for 3 or 4 months riding it almost daily. It does not affect the motor from going the other way. How is that possible?
@@RemcosFPV lol iono I guess the only downside is you can't coast as long
Nice bike best razor i have seen.
Still pretty quiet. Thought you were running belt drive
Heatsink will help cool your motor more than drilling the holes. Having both done should be good. Have you seen actual running temps of motor?
Yea I added the new heatsink and it keeps the motor alot cooler havnt tested in peak of summer but Temps are way down
I'm surprised no cops go down there
You mentioned something about high humidity areas and motor heat.. can you expand on that a bit please?
Thanks
I think it has something to do with the battery lithium ion works best in heat but when it’s to much heat it can cause problems etc
Pretty clean build nbs, clean tail light, got a link to purchase?
Those smaller holes in the engine caps are to keep water out I was going to open mine up but learned it's not a good idea have you had any issues
Loving the look!
Thank you!
How much did it all cost you besides the Razor bike.?
What's the link for the mic sounds good

Link to speedometer? I would like that on my build.
CYCPLUS GPS Bike Computer
How did you mount the front rsf wheel, my brake caliper doesn’t clear when I mounted it
I have the mototec though it's a little bit bigger

Is there a video On how to weld it ?
Not sure maybe I'll make a video on how to

how long does that battery last for?
How did you install the Rsf wheels on the mx
Used the rsf wheel spacers and cut half the side that's opp of the brake side

The 5000w electro & co

Does it affect the motor any?
Nope I havnt had any issue at all and I've been riding it hard every weeknd
Electric and company is a little bit too expensive, they should bring down the prices
Go check out some of my razor mods and how you like it
I'm new here but what's a welded free wheel lol
It's a freewheel welded up. Basically like a fixed gear I guess.. wayy better feel then any freewheel with a bike with alot of power
