@annawyborn8706 I’m not super if we’re on the same page. If you’re using the lightning camera adapter, you connect from the interface/sound card to your device or iPad pro (as I said I don’t really have an iPad pro so you can only try this) thru the usb port (camera icon port) of the adapter while the lighting port then lightning to your device. The lightning port of the adapter - use a regular lightning cable to connect to a power bank.
@jenuds, at 3:45, please explain why it needs the y splitter cable and NOT directly connecting from the combined output line. I am confused since I haven't seen the use of the other port from the y splitter. Thanks!
I tried direct and it didn’t work for Recording/Streaming. I have to use the splitter as I am converting the TRS to TRRS so it’ll work for Recording or streaming.

I don’t think there us a 3 way splitter that has usb and mic slot, only usb and headphone slot is what I found, not sure if that is the same thing?
Yes and less cords. Since it’s live presentation and you’re not streaming or recording- you only need 2 devices - device to open garage band and device for karaoke music. From the back audio out of the focusrite- you may connect it directly to your speakers or amplifier where speakers are connected
good video--I hpe you can advise me.. I want to do someting more basic....sfx out of my ipad into focusrite 2i4 ch 2 and mic in ch 1....i hear no audio from my ipad when I do that however. What am I doing wrong???
If you want to record to your iPad, you will have to copy on this video, I connected the iPad from the back of the focusrite using a TS dual mono to 3.5mm TRS. Then from a Y splitter-connect the other end of the TS dual mono to the mic port of the Y splitter then to your iPad provided your iPad has a headphone port. Different connection if your iPad does not have a headphone port.

Yes 2 devices should work. You can connect your focusrite to your mac with the garage band for vocal effects and also karaoke music. Great video!! I would like to know if, with this type of configuration, I would be able to stream simultaneously to two devices? So let's say on the iPad I would stream on Facebook and on the iPhone instead of running Garageband I would stream on Instagram. Would that work?
First of all if you don't connect or use garage band, there won't have voice effects like echo and reverb. If you want to connect to 2 devices you will need an audio splitter from the Focusrite to your iPad and iPhone which means you will need 2pcs of TRRS to headphone and mic splitter.

@@liamg6824 In this specific set up in this video, you can monitor the audio from the focusrite as I used the headphone port of the iPad. But there should be a way I think.
Kung sa focusrite, halimbawa Garage band gamit nyo. mas maganda kung econvert nyo muna ang song to mp3 then set it as track 1 then sa track 2 ang inyong vocals para malinis po ang output at maaadjust or maeedit nyo po ang minus 1 at vocals separately. Sa ganitong recording, isang phone lang po gagamitin as long as may lyrics or memorize nyo po ang kanta

Hello Im using the scarlett 2i2 with the galaxy fold 3 by plugging it in directly with the usb c cable I can play music or any content and it sounds great but whenever i try to use the microphone on the voice recording app the quality is really bad
That make sense coz using a Focusrite up need a third party application or DAW For your vocals to have effects. I have not tried yet connecting my Focusrite to an android phone. I’ll include that on my videos to make.
Mono. I can hear the audio on both sides of the earphone. If you connect the iPad thru the headphone port of focusrite, it could be stereo or mono just wiggle the earphone from the audio adapter attached to the headphone port of focusrite, it changes.
Yes that’s possible but a bit trickier as you will need a DAW for vocal effects and route the audio from there to your streaming. Without a DAW, your vocals will be flat with no reverberation/echo.

Sorry I can’t figure out coz you should be able to hear the music as well. Try using the TRS(with 2 lines at the end) to connect your background music. Just checking if did you used an adapter to your phone, like lightning adapter. If the audio don’t have effects like reverb from the garage band the fact that you have turn it up from the garage band then you’re not using the right adapter.

It only work for me when I connect the focusrite to a device like Samsung device then to the sound card. It’s always best to use an audio interface like focusrite with a DAW.
What is best to used in live mixer or 2i2?
Live mixer is easier to use than 2i2
Hi, can I use the focusrite to receive audio calls during live streaming too?
I have not figure it out yet. Sorry
Hi mam can i just use my desktop computer as a background music and Garage band working together then ill be Livestreaming on my android phone is that possible po ba? Please help me as i have only one phone with me 😢

Could I connect a pioneer djm 250 mixer to it, to stream ot OBS studio to stream to TH-cam? Thanks
Sorry I have not used OBS yet. I think there should be a way.
Thanks for this content ..it's very helpful....by the way, Can I also use Bandlab to add effects on my focusrite during live streams?
I have not tried yet using Bandlab app
yes u can
You are right. I recently tried it.
@@jenuds if possible, when you get a chance, could you please share with us some experience you got with the Bandlab for tuning/controlling the effects (reverb, echo, ..) just like you shared with GarageBand? Thank you so much!

Do you have iPad pro? I wasn’t able to connect my Focusrite to my iPad- simply wouldn’t work. I tried different connectors including the one with a camera slot
Sorry I don’t have an iPad pro to test with 😊
I’ll try this, thanks a lot for sharing!
You’re welcome
I’m using a laptop for DAW logic
Yes you can.
@@jenuds is there anyway I can contact you kind of lost
Great video!! I would like to know if, with this type of configuration, I would be able to stream simultaneously to two devices? So let's say on the iPad I would stream on Facebook and on the iPhone instead of running Garageband I would stream on Instagram. Would that work?
First of all if you don't connect or use garage band, there won't have voice effects like echo and reverb. If you want to connect to 2 devices you will need an audio splitter from the Focusrite to your iPad and iPhone which means you will need 2pcs of TRRS to headphone and mic splitter.
@@jenuds Thank you for the reply! Do you think that would compromise the quality on both ends? If you could do a video on the possibility of that someday I would love it! :D
Given a chance. I’ll include it on my list
wow, thanks for the tutorial. I love it.
Thank you
can i use laptop instead of iphone and fl studio in the laptop ... keeping all rest of the connection same...will it work?
Sorry. I have tried but not figured it out yet. There should have more steps for it to work.
When I start the stream the effects stop
Did it stop meaning you can’t hear the effects when you start streaming or you can still hear but won’t go thru your streaming? If yes it could be the phone adapter.
Can I receive the sound from the other end of the broadcaster
Possibly yes. It depends on your set up.
Very Helpful tips.👍🏻
Thank you
Wow! Thanks for this video tutorial. I have this focusrite bundle the 3rd gen. I try a lot of wires connection and I'm using two android phones only but now i know that it doesn't work. Napa subscribe ako sa video mo ma'am. Salamat. Can you tell me what kind of cables that you are using 1 by 1? Like, the wire that connects to the tablet, apple and android phone? Coz i want to buy. I'll plan to buy a laptop but when i saw your video, the plan will stopped! 😁☺️🙏

Sensya na po kung late respond. Plano ko pong gumawa ng video on it kasi slightly different po ang set up kapag android ang gamit.
Hi Ma'am, can i ask? basi sa kanilang mga specs, Which is better po? The MAONO AME2? or the TAKSTAR MX1PRO. Salamat po.

What if I have 1 computer, 1 Scarlett and 1 smartphone and I will use it for live streaming on TikTok and input music from the computer, not from the mic jack on Scarlett. I just need to load music from the computer but why doesn't the sound come to the smartphone. The path I use is the cable from Scarlett to the computer and the output from Scarlett to the smartphone. I'm very confused, please help with this.
I'm glad you found the the other video. I meant to send you the link on it. Using the right lightning adapter is very important. Is your adapter from the apple store? Adapter I bought somewhere else didn't work for recording/streaming.
Hi there, did you find a solution?? I am doing the same thing and now have sound from my laptop/DAW etc going into the phone, however it's panned hard left. Next steps are trying to get it stereo!
Can I broadcast on Tik Tok via iPhone ?using a laptop as a music source?
I heard about issues on Tiktok streaming. Unfortunately, I can’t really do a test coz I’m not qualified yet. I was able to record through Tiktok then post it on Tiktok. I thought if I can record through Tiktok, that would be the same audio output on live streaming, but I could be wrong.
Thanks Can I stream on my iPhone and use my laptop as a music source?
@@8reeb90 So far I was able to stream on Facebook and You tube but I am not 100% sure with Tiktok.
@@jenuds I think you can live stream on Tiktok but you would need to hear audio out from the phone you are streaming with, if you are live with a group of people. Should this setup allow audio out from the phone?
@@liamg6824 In this specific set up in this video, you can monitor the audio from the focusrite as I used the headphone port of the iPad. But there should be a way I think.
can you teach us how to connect two v8 soundcard together please?
Here is V8 and V9 mash up video. Idea is the same for 2 V8. th-cam.com/video/GdLA3jSDYDo/w-d-xo.html
So interesting Sis paano pala ma e record ang Boses kung kakanta making a song cover ba Sis ?
Kung sa focusrite, halimbawa Garage band gamit nyo. mas maganda kung econvert nyo muna ang song to mp3 then set it as track 1 then sa track 2 ang inyong vocals para malinis po ang output at maaadjust or maeedit nyo po ang minus 1 at vocals separately. Sa ganitong recording, isang phone lang po gagamitin as long as may lyrics or memorize nyo po ang kanta
@@jenuds ah ok Sis thank you so much sa mga tips mo kaya pala ang linis ng mga song cover records mo Pag aaralan ko yan. God bless you and take care always Sis.
Aidio output stereo or mono?
Mono. I can hear the audio on both sides of the earphone. If you connect the iPad thru the headphone port of focusrite, it could be stereo or mono just wiggle the earphone from the audio adapter attached to the headphone port of focusrite, it changes.
😍💜 ولكم باك يا فنانة 💃
Thank you
Great… thank you… how would you add a live guitar 🎸???
The focusrite I used has 2 input. You can connect the guitar to input 2 or mic 2. Please watch out the volume as it peaks if it’s too loud.
let's say i only use channel 1 on my mic, can i make it stereo sound ?.. because i have my vocal effects+backing track/music on channel 1. i don't need channel 2, but i want to make it stereo output. is that possible ?
This is the only way that I knew so far. Maybe in the future I’ll figure it out.😇
Just awesome! Thanks!
Thanks
Thankyou !! love it ❤
Glad you like it! Thank you
Pwed po ba gamitin yan kahit ipod mini 3gen at android phone po pang live?
Opo. Provided your iPod touch has garage band app (which it should have it if it's 3rd gen according to google).
how if we want to do an interactive live, so our audience can have a conversation with us. Do the audio will loopback?
I have not tried that one yet. This is for sure for solo streaming.
would you like to figure it out and share the results, @@jenuds ? thank you
Yes I will. Thanks
I really appreciate that, @@jenuds . Thank you very much
can i use macbook lap top
Yes
Hello
Im using the scarlett 2i2 with the galaxy fold 3 by plugging it in directly with the usb c cable
I can play music or any content and it sounds great but whenever i try to use the microphone on the voice recording app the quality is really bad
That make sense coz using a Focusrite up need a third party application or DAW For your vocals to have effects. I have not tried yet connecting my Focusrite to an android phone. I’ll include that on my videos to make.
Audio out stereo or mono?
Mono. I can hear the audio on both sides of the earphone. If you connect the iPad thru the headphone port of focusrite, it could be stereo or mono just wiggle the earphone from the audio adapter attached to the headphone port of focusrite, it changes.
HI.. if you have a laoptop can you just use that instead of two phones ??
Yes that’s possible but a bit trickier as you will need a DAW for vocal effects and route the audio from there to your streaming. Without a DAW, your vocals will be flat with no reverberation/echo.
@@jenuds what’s a DAW? I have logic pro X ??
Yes that’s it.
@@jenuds do you have a video on how to do this ?
I don’t have a video on it as of now and I have not used logic pro x yet.

I can't set the reveb and effect on garage band..when i touch monitor garage band "to use monitoring, connect a pair of headphones (or other external audio device) to your device? 😅
What if u have minifuse 2
pwala po bang latency ang effects from garageband to the monitoring?
Dko po napansin. Kung mayron man konte cguro
Hi, from the line out to the device the sound has a mic only.. how can I resolve this?
Sorry I can’t figure out coz you should be able to hear the music as well. Try using the TRS(with 2 lines at the end) to connect your background music. Just checking if did you used an adapter to your phone, like lightning adapter. If the audio don’t have effects like reverb from the garage band the fact that you have turn it up from the garage band then you’re not using the right adapter.
Can i contact you to know how the setup works bcz it didn't work for me

Did you use an iPad or another iPhone using lightning adapter for streaming? Coz adapter could be the issue as not all works.
I use another iphone with lightning connector..
@luffymonkey6543 That’s what I suspected. I think your lightning adapter is only for headphone so you can hear but it will not work for recording or streaming. I bought my lightning adapter from apple store.

How to solve youtube no sound when my DAW is open?
If you're recording or streaming on the same laptop where you open the DAW, I don't know how yet. But if you're streaming or recording to a different device other than the laptop, then set up is same in this video or you might need an adapter for connecting your phone.
