hi.. i want to ask some questions, Todays phone have no headphone port anymore, including mine. so here it is... i only use 1 phone just for livestreaming. Mic on ch1 ( already coming with vocal effects) , background music on ch2. Because my phone don't have headphone port, so i don't use the Focusrite;s Output (2 TS mono) , than means no Y splitter being used. i try directly connect from the type C interface behind the Focusrite, then plug the end USB directly to my android phone using usb adapter A to C. i try it on TikTok for a couple minutes, and it Works. But the problem is, my phone's battery drain so fast, because besides 'livestreaming', it also forced to helps power the Focusrite. So my question is, can i use a hub adapter to add powerbank battery to help power the Focusrite, to save my phone's battery? , and do you think it's okay by not the Focusrite's output?.. but by directly connect the phone using usb OTG Adapter . i wonder if there's different sound quality by not using 2 ts mono.
Hello madam, first of all, i want to thanks you for the great job. I tried to get the same setup like yours but when i'm recording a video, i get some noise (grrrrrr or brrrrr) something like that. What can i do to avoid this ? Thks you
Hi, do you need to use a laptop or Mac? i use irighd2 from my ipad and want to use my android phone to video myself with the audio from the interface . Is it possible? Thanks
You don’t have to, provided you will use an app in your Android device for FX or effects. In this set up, it looks like you will need at least 2 devices.
@jenuds I use irighd2 on my ipad with tone bridge, and have monitor speakers for sound and I'd like to use my phone (android) Samsung to record the sound while I video.
Is there a specific reason for using a USB A to C adaptor to connect two USB C devices or you just happened to have a USB C to A cable available hence the adaptor?
If you bought it new, yes it does. A few and you can pick all you can download all of them. You just have to register your focusrite then go n from there.
Most probably coz your phone does not have enough power to supply the focusrite. You can use an OTG camera adapter like in this video th-cam.com/video/jMiuTdawE_M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6e6vZvkBTc0i0RPt

No. There is only audio out at the back and a headphone port. However as long as you have the right cables I used here or even have an iRig stream or Synido Live dock, you should be able to connect it to your Android phone
I'm trying to record AUDIO ONLY (music/singing) from a sound card. Your method to record using the camera is for both video & audio (streaming...). Do you have any other method for Audio only ? Have you tried to record audio to a USB (MP3) from OTG or Live 1 gate using adapter ? Thank you very much 👍💐😀
All set would be the same and just open voice recorded from the device where you want to record then you’ll only recording the AUDIO. You can record directly to bandlab. You will only need 1 device if you can convert a music into an mp3 file then import it to bandlab so you can record audio only for your vocals and music (mp3file) - this would Be a different set up to record.
The audio quality for Focusrite is great however set up is more complicated. Easy set up for Live Sound Card like Maonocaster AM100, E2 or Synido Live 100.

You should connect the focusrite to the device where it gives you vocal effects like bandlab, garage band , etc and make sure that device will give enough power to the focusrite otherwise you will need an external power like portable charger. If you connect it directly to the live device, your vocal won’t have effects like reverb. There are different ways in connecting a focusrite to Starmaker. Will you be using an android or iPhone or iPad where you will be opening the starmaker app?
Very Good Direct Hit. .To The Recorder No More Using DAW, Audacity. Or Mac. .And So On. E.T.C. Some Other Going To Record Many Cha Cha Boriching Method. This Is Simply Method. T>Y>
I’m sorry, I’m still thinking how it’s possible to use 2 cables only? I would love to see a video on that please. If you only use 2 cables, does that mean your mic is wireless? And wireless headphones? And your background music is wireless too? BT? Will you be using a wireless BT transmitter? If you need vocal effects since focusrite does not have built in dsp, it would mean you’ll use another device which needs to be connected to focusrite. Not unless you will use Starmaker or smule app at least less 1 device to use. I’m really puzzled my friend.
@jenuds USB cable and mic cable, done. Use headphones into the 2i2 if you want to and add a third cable or use Bluetooth headphones to the phond/tablet. Don't need anything else if you're using a DAW for mobile devices
Overkill, overcomplicated and flawed. I get the idea of using three separate devices for three separate functions, but it is quite easy to combine this on a single device. The Scarlett provides pre-amp and phantom power for the condenser microphone along with A/D conversion. It also lets you monitor audio from the microphone (direct) and the foldback audio from the android device (computer) and balance the mix between the two into the headphones. A USB connection to one Android device is all you need. Bandlab (or any of a dozen other Android apps) will handle effects and background music and recording. And because you are not routing your background music through a single channel on the Scarlett, it will be in full stereo.
In that set up are you able to open bandlab and you tube karaoke songs at the same time? Please send me a link if you have make a video on it. I’m not a pro yet on bandlab. The reason I made this video coz the person who requested it does not know how to convert you tube karaoke to mp3 to import to bandlad (which is in that case, only 1 device is needed (i think I mentioned that on this video)-which they find it complicated as well. Thanks for your input, you must be a pro on it.
@@jenudsfor that, TH-cam premium or modded TH-cam will be needed to run it background and modern Android can handle volume per apps basis ( means TH-cam can have different volume level from bandlab or 3rd app if needed ) then everything can be recorded in bandlab itself. However usb power is something to mention here as your Samsung have usb3 which can handle power needed for audio interface while many Android are usb2 which may not be enough to power audio interface.

So is there anything i can do to make music thru my samsung phoneeee 😐😐😐😕😕😕😕
Thanks so much for this direct to the point video tutorial, really helpful.
Bought sm7b microphone and focusrite but kinda complicated for me to set up.Been using v8 sound card but i saw from previous videos that i watched the focusrite is way better. Thanks once again

How to connect bandlab to f998?
I have not tried connecting f998 yet to bandlab
Which android models will this most likely work on?
Not sure which android phones would really works as i don’t have many phones to test, infact 2 of my phones just recently retired 😅(Samsung s10 plus and LG g5). I should say mostly Samsung coz that’s the phone I am able to test with.
Tnx a ton! Pls make a video to connect Android mobile to Audio interface for Tiktok live (& other live video) 🥰
the recorded would be mono i guess?
Right
Cool ! Unfortunatelly my phone doesn't have 3,5mm connection anymore :)
Please check out my Focusrite playlist as you might find what you’re looking for. Here is one

Hello, Jenu this is 3rd time I comment to you I am a big fan of yours if it is possible can you make for UR22C interface how to live on TikTok, with karaoke background music.
Thanks for the support 🙏. I would love to make that video but I don’t have that kind of interface yet and I’m not qualified yet to go live stream on tiktok as I only have 50+ followers. It might take a while I think before I qualify 😅😇 If you want to visit my tiktok account @jenuds1
can we use it for the Starmaker app ? please reply
There are different ways in connecting a focusrite to Starmaker. Will you be using an android or iPhone or iPad where you will be opening the starmaker app?
@@jenuds i have an android and iphone too
Great. I’ll make a video on it given a chance.

Very Good Direct Hit. .To The Recorder No More Using DAW, Audacity. Or Mac. .And So On. E.T.C. Some Other Going To Record Many Cha Cha Boriching Method. This Is Simply Method. T>Y>
Thanks for watching
Why so complicated? Just connect it by usb like you would to a PC or mac, simple easy, just 2 cables and done
Opo loobin.
Good info. Thank you so much🙏
@@jenudstry Samsung sound assistant app
I only see Samsung music, voice recorder sound recorder or smart thing?
ITS FAILED 😂😂😂 IF YOU CONNECT WITH JACK THE AUDIO CANNOT BE STEREO U MUST USE OTG USE B & NEED ANALOG TO DIGITAL FOR INPUT
Good for your. You know what you're doing.
YEAH STEREO JUST HEAR THE LIVE STREAM BUT MONO FOR AUDIENCE SEE THE WE DO LIVE STREAM
I hear hiss..
Sorry I’m not really a pro on solving hiss issue.
