  • This is the official guide on how to turn a wooden mill with CrushGrind® inside. We have worked with our CrushGrind® ambassador, Jørgen from Oldenburg Woodturning to make this guide. Jørgen is showing all the steps in making one of his own design. Enjoy!

Would have liked to have better details on sizing/ drilling and more importantly cutting of notches for mechanism.

Where do you purchase the Peppermill tool for cutting the notch for the inside the Peppermill for the mechanism?

Beautiful grinder - love the design. Thank you for posting this... and I didn't mind the 'music' and even if I did... I have a volume button. Fascinating to watch - be great if you did a beginners lesson on this as there seems some really useful basics in this.

Yes, very good visual. But there is no way I could reproduce that at this stage in my experience. I wish there was talk rather than music explaining what was going on.

At 8:03 how is the head piece attached to the lathe? Is it a jig or different Jaws?

Dear Evan. Thank you for your question. The head piece is held in position with serrated step jaws in expansion mode. If you send us an email on info@crushgrind.com, then we can reply with photos showing details (we cannot upload photos in a reply). Best regards

The ABOMINABLE background "music" made me run for cover. If it wasn't for the fact that I've made a few CrushGrind Salt, Pepper and Coffee Bean grinders in my time, I would have been put off for life.
In all earnest, what percentage of turners do you think watch YT video's for the "music"?
Definitely why you only have 112 subscribers.

I think this is a little bit overblown. Do you not have a volume control or mute?
