  • I finally managed to visit this Romanian city which has been on my list for a long time. Like Veszprém in Hungary, which I visit frequently, it is European Capital of Culture 2023. So the comparison made it even more interesting for me.

Timisoara is a multi-cultured city, that is why you see diferrent types of Churches. In Union Square you have the catolic church 20:50 mainly for hungarians and germans on the other side of the square you have the Serbian Ortodox Church. On the side street there is a Jewish Synagogue and in the Victory Square you have the r
Romanian ortodox Church and on the side another Catolic Church. Also the Opera/Theather houses the Romanian Theather, the Hungarian Theather, German Theather and Serbia Theather. The each have their own plays and entrances. Also you have schools teaching only in German, Hungarian or Serbian.

Nice video! You're so right about showing all the stuff, not just the trend for views. Also it is irrelevant how much money the EU puts at Romania's disposal, I think they know damn well, they don't have the capabilities to fully absorb those funds, in this decade at least. In time I think that city will come out as gorgeous, but I also think Romania is still haunted by it's communist mentality and ways.

Yes, it's a shame we didn't manage to go there. It was on my list of places to visit but there was so much to see in the Cetate district that we ran out of time.

Typical for a German tourist who thinks the cow is purple because that's how it is on the milka packaging.
I think he hasn't even visited East Berlin, otherwise he would understand why the buildings are in different stages of renovation and he wouldn't ask stupid questions anymore

Who is that German tourist you are writing about? 😇 And what issue do you have with asking questions?

Very interesting video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life.
