tbh i think it really paved the way for most of the genre (considering how this is arguably one of the earliest entries). I was listening to the chase themes from each game the other day, and i think its really cool to see how the 2 following titles attempt to recreate this but end up focusing on different aspects of it entirely - which ends up setting the scene for Haunting Grounds absolutely phenomenal chase themes.

Clock Tower needs to be a movie, such a classic and brilliant concept with an amazing soundtrack to back it. Imagine this covered orchestral with Synths and what not.

I have a good idea of what I want the ending to be, but I'd need to get down the middle of the movie really tight. I feel like that would be hard to do because for all intents and purposes, I think the story is stronger as a game anyway.

When scissorman hits the scene this game becomes ten times as scary every room becomes a trap with the different trial and error chicken appear anywhere at any time so you better be careful though because game over is back from the beginning and that's with all these old games it is scarier than the monsters other things going to happen randomly

The bathtub was best. The implication that he had been in the water the entire times...no bubbles. He had just been in there without breathing and the scissors rise up. That said, I'm pretty sure it's impossible to see him raising out of the pool for the first encounter. You either enter the bathroom and find Laura or continue on and see what he did to Ann.
@@BigBoy257 How? The only way to get to the pool is to go through the area where Scissorman drops down with Ann. And there's nobody in the pool unless you hear a scream and look out the window to see one of the girls being thrown out from the second story.

The audio is 10/10 for this game. Especially for snes. It's amazing the atmosphere this game can portray on such limited hardware. Truly impressive
The SNES sound chip was ahead of its time, that's for sure. If only this game woulda been localized...
At the cost of ambience, it's dead silent if no one's after you.
