I love that entire set-up in the van...
It looks super strong and what a great use of space for work or for a party!
The height is great! Watch! He’s going to love it! Ergonomically very good for standing work space AND YOU figured a way so he can keep everything on the workspace top in order to access the inner gear...
Now what he needs is to order special outstanding design, flip up comfy bar stools that strategically stash away on the sides or top of the van ...oooo make him solid flip out comfortable double seating on both sides... we want a video ...when he starts using this innovative idea
I have several home work spaces that I want that height
    “Nothing too crazy?”
    ( thats your quote )
Its too crazy who could think of that? A bed, a couch, an office and a party/dinner bar...pretty slick...

Very nice indeed. The back rest that you created could use a cubby hole. That's a lot of space to hide things in when you're on the road. Super clever on the pull out drawer. My daughter has a coffee table that does that, never even considered it for van use but it's perfect. One question, will he have a problem with transferred temperature coming through the opening in the back "for his board"?

lie sideways in that space- if he's that short, he's really going to have issues with the pull out drawer.
