I'm Mexican but a lot of people always mistaken me as Indian. I was so sad and told my mother about it. She told me that I shouldn't be sad because Indian women are among the most beautiful in the world. And she's right! Indian women are gorgeous! (I'm not saying I am, I'm not so confident in myself😂)
That's kind of funny, because back in school people would say I'm Mexican, although I'm very white. I tend to tan very dark in the summer (or the months before school lets out), and I also have the dark, curly, and thick hair, as well as the dark eyes. I'd always be sad and talk to my mom, but she'd tell me that while she understands why I'm sad (not the fact that they'd call me Mexican, but just the fact that they were calling me names period), Mexican women are very beautiful and strong-willed, and should be taken as a compliment!
These women and their daughters, were truly beautiful...the Indian community are a very kind and curious bunch, one of the best places to visit in the world. ...they will make you feel special, and are so generous with their culture, they will make you feel very at home.

Putting culture aside, I think the vast amount of details is stunning. It's like they've put so much effort into their dress for such a big day, which is very sweet. As for traditional American dresses, while some women like the details, they are usually pretty simple and clean cut.

I love the Indian wedding stlye. It's so colorful and majestic. I mean it's so much better than the boring white dress in my opinion. I remember when I was little and I went to a wedding and I said to my mom " Why don't they dress up in pretty bright colors". I think Indian wedding are amount the most beautiful ones from the videos I've seen. I wish I could have the privilege to attend a Indian wedding one day.
Jossy Barton actually in Hinduism, white colors is for widows, now days things are changing but they avoid black and white for wedding, they believe marriage is a new phase of life it must begin with bright colors to brighten up the life...

This is a lovely idea. All the young women and their mom's at their wedding days look really beautiful! I am so taken by the Indian attire as well. Different cultures and customs are truly amazing. I think it is great the tradition goes on, and I hope it won't be overtaken by the common 'white dress wedding'. :)
Indian Christians are slowly moving towards the Western white dress, because we don't have the religious traditions that Hindus and Muslims do when it comes to clothing :(

the best sentence in the whole video was for me the one woman who said shes proud that she gave birth to a baby girl...i was literally at the verge of tears because i know that woman have a hard time in india and are often aborted or murdered after birth (at least that what they say in the documetaries ive watched) so i was really happy about this mothers sentence... im happy to see so many proud mothers and i hope one day my mother will be proud of me too! and then she will be happy too that she gave birth to me!!
what you said is maybe true for one place, but India's culture is the most diverse culture you'll ever found. come to northeast India, meghalaya, there are also traditions where only woman's are head of the society and family, and work outside, while men works at home, men have to leave their houses to live at women's place. you can google it. but media will never show you this. so it's better not to generalize it as "Indians "
