My grandparents got married in the winter of 1961 and my granny had a longsleeved dress with lace in off-white, that she made by herself. My grandparents had like no money, but they loved eachother so much.... Unfortunately, my grandpa died in 1980 because of leukemia, so I never met him, but I'm sure, he would've loved to see me wearing Granny's dress at my own wedding next year, on their 60 year anniversary ❤️

Definitely recognise the 80’s wedding dresses my mum and my aunt wore. Such a stark difference between the 80’s and the 90’s.
But I think is more late 90s, the early 90s was similar to big 80s

I saw the 1985 one and immediately gasped because it's so so soooo similar to my mother's wedding dress from the 80s, so I love how accurate it is!!!! I remember her saying that her dress would be mine and I looked at the puffed shoulders and my six year old brain said ummm thanks mum but nooooo
Boggy Bunny the one from 2005 is basically my mums dress too! And she got it around that time.
Most of those eighties dresses can be altered to remove the sleeves, and they are gorgeous.
The 80's one looks just like my mom's dress too. 😂 And my aunt B, my aunt A, my aunt J, and my aunt Be, all their dresses looked like that! Haha!

They really showcase how beautiful each style is, in their own way, even some decades that weren’t necessarily my favorite. It’s impressive.

When I was little I had fallen in love with this super pretty and old wedding dress in a thrift store, my parents had decided to get it for my birthday. I recently found out that the dress was from 1900-1910(Can't quite remember) and it had been passed down for a long time until the guy who donated it got it from his late mother and had decided to donate it because he and his husband didn't want kids but he didn't want to throw it away so he donated it in hopes that it could make someone else happy and maybe make it through a few more generations.

The 80's always have such an iconic look. You can always tell what decade it is!
What a nice way of saying it. Iconic. I was married in 81, before everything went hideous. But a friend was married later in the decade.
She hates her gown to this day. Those styles looked horrible on 99.9 percent of the population. Iconic. Love it.

Wish I could share a photo of the dress. But I can describe it 😅
It wasn’t modern, it was a vintage lacy long sleeve, slightly off shoulder ball gown (didn’t use a petty coat) it had a big bow thingy you had to clip in place at the back. The top and sleeve had lots of pearls (obviously not real pearls) lol and omg it had a long ass train like really long but I loved it. Couldn’t see myself in any thing else

Loved the 1920’s one, especially hr veil with all of those miniature pearls. My mother’s dress in 1976 was almost exactly like the one pictured.

I was married in 1987 but wore my mother’s dress. She bought and wore hers in 1960. All silk with real buttons down the entire back and a giant bow at the lower back. Gorgeous. Then my two sisters wore again in 1990 and 1995. So special!

I got married in 2009 - my dress wasn't so unlike the 2015 here.
Couldn't stand the sleeveless ones that were popular for such a long time in the 2000s. Wery few women actually looked good in them. Silhouette matters so much more than the amount of skin shown (and by that I mean for beauty only, not morally).
