Elizabeth remember how hurt she felt when the boy didn't want to hold her hand to get diploma when she was a child and now she is 73. Goes to show how important to be kind to everyone.
The part that gets me is, she wouldn’t have cared if it was anyone else, seems like they may have known each other in a different way and that came out of the blue on the day.
Shows how young you can learn racism which was probably the case hopefully he's changed
@@leeanndap7020 just because she didn’t want to hold her hand during that time doesn’t mean racism i mean i don’t wanna hold hands while getting a diploma with anyone
@@usernotfound2269 ok you maybe right but I believe in trusting your instincts and considering the time period racism was a normal situation in most white households, I think her instincts was picking up the right signals.
However the child at the time didn't know any better and probably didn't want his parents disapproval hopefully if that was the case he grew into better human being. But you can't ignore historical evidence especially recent ones no matter how ugly. Happy holidays hope you have a good one.🙏🏽
@@usernotfound2269 it’s pretty clear why he didn’t want to hold her hand. Don’t play the denial game. My parents are the age of Elizabeth snd Back then all the schools were like that. They were segregated snd then eventually you ended up as the one black kid and you got hell!

@@jaslikeart noo😅🤣 pls that one line is too funny
Because most of his pictures were about him. You don't get emotional when you talk about you, what gets to people's hearts is talking about someone they loved dearly and lost. That's why he got sad talking about his wife. The others actually seem to have more dear people than Roger, and that means... Probably you were more loved in your life, but also you have more people to cry for. That's happiness.
PS: Not saying that Roger wasn't happy, though. Just making clear that. His interview was funny and his life was exciting♡
@@ProverbiosOcho it's because in the end it's fcking boring to see a picture coloured in and I doubt anyone in this video actually cared a bit about it. Roger was just straight up ✌🏼 sure u can get emotional about pictures of loved ones, but the colouring itself is just boring lmaoo. Bad vid.

The way Elizabeth talks about her mother, how she comments on momma being Regal, the way she speaks herself, and the set of her own shoulders tells you so much. Her mother must have been a fierce and incredibly proud woman who carried herself, and commanded to be treated, like a lady. She made sure Elizabeth learned that too. Hard to find those values in my (28) generation. From either side whatever spectrum you can think of.
