*Had to RE-UPLOAD this video because we accidentally cut a lot of the box opening sections in editing! Thanks to all of you for pointing it out! Hope you all enjoy the duel - it ended up being one of our favorites!* 😊
Trell is a great combination of an entertaining personality and a very cordial duelist; announcing all his Phases correctly, prompting for timings and responses, always good to have him
He didn't he was wrong anyone can tell it's clearly hane hane he said hanai hanai and that's not how it's spelled or pronounced don't be ignorant it's worse than people calling machina mockina
I can only imagine the dude who sold the 1000 dollar box watching on the edge of his seat, just hoping his box doesn't lose bc that ain't great for his sales
I get that the point of mystery boxes is the excitement of seeing what unknowns you pull, but these felt pretty underwhelming. I'm pretty sure for $100 you could buy the cards needed to create both of those decks from scratch, plus some sleeves and a modest deck box of your choice. I honestly preferred the $100 box from the two shown, having just clumps of old cards in different languages along with some sealed product gave it a more playground feel to it, like you're truly unpacking a mystery instead of all the leftovers from a merch reseller's warehouse
As an mtg player, I've always been extremely skeptical of any "mystery box" products. It is common for people to reseal packs after taking out all the money cards and replace them with bulk, even some lgs' have been caught doing so with normal packs. So just be wary of who you're buying from, especially on ebay
Idea for the series- play a tournament with different kind of structure decks with the same summoning method. It would be awesome to see which is the best link deck, best pend deck, best xyz deck and on
Kind of wish the background wasn't constantly moving. Was really busy for me, found it hard to focus on the duel. Other than that though, another great video from you guys. Love how you keep paper yugioh alive, and make it so exciting!
Do some more uploads playing master duel. Love watching Paul explain strategies and would be awesome seeing Alex and tell play. When I play with my brother it's fun back and forth so I'm sure you guys will nail it.
Thank u for what u do, I am a return player from the 2000s. Started a year ago and started to play a lot more. I am excited to see old decks played. Keep on going.
13:06 couldn't synchro summon cuz that card was only a tuner for the turn it was special summoned. Without the extra life points the game would have been over sooner but still, Alec won so it worked out. Gg both boxes were pretty dope
Sorry for the wierd question. The background sound on the video, is that a bakugan game ost? I think its from there. On the opening of the 1000 box part
Honestly, that 1000 box (way too expensive and it should have had at least 3-4 OR 6 booster boxes of different Yugioh eras with packs and those special cards too) is better than that MTG super duper 999 dollar box with 4 packs and nothing else. Better deal!
Hi, big fan and first time commenting! I thought Trell could have done more in that final turn though, depending on what Alec's set was, could he not have: Normal summon Right-Hand Shark and activate effect to search Left-Hand (Alec has a choice - Trap Hole here or not) If Trap Holed, use Right-Hand's effect in GY to special itself (banish when leaving the field). If not, do the same play below: Special summon Silent Sea Nettle Overlay for Number 4: Stealth Kragen?
When you start reading an essay each time you summon a monster.. you know Yu-Gi-Oh is gone for good. Still watched the video, since you're still good at entertainment.
Then you must hate vanguard then. The tcg that uses shortcut symbols but still somehow make shit way too complicated. At least yugioh is understandable because the effects operate like lines of code, which was derived from the original konami video game's code.
Trell: So what this card does is Alec: Ooh okay then.. Trell: *proceeds to chain card effects* Alec: Well then.. Trell: *explains his 138th link effect* Alec: *chuckles* I'm in danger
A thrilling battle that proves pay to win isn't always the winning strategy even in the hands of the mighty "Simply Tatted" Trell AKA Mr I'm So Good at Yugioh. Still he put up a good fight! Should have spaced out the bosses a little more but I feel the smaller cheaper deck outvalued it because expensive decks rely on their EX and special summoning big beaters. Once they lose that it's hard to come back. Still a thrilling match that was fun to watch! Good concept guys! Hope to see this again.
I was wondering about that! I thought it was portuguese, but the card's name in portuguese is "Buraco Armadilha", without "de". Maybe there was an errata or something? If there was, it kind of makes sense though... "Buraco de Armadilha" in english means literally "Hole of Trap", which is a bit off. On the other hand, "Buraco Armadilha", without "de", means "Trap Hole", which is a better translation.
Money doesn’t make the duelist! Great game both of you. 👍 A $10 structure deck in the right hands can beat even a $1000 dollar deck. Still, good to see this kind of content!
Hey guys, a piece of feedback: the background with the moving lights is kinda distracting, if you guys are going for an animated background I'd go for a more subtle one
This month you should go to the local game shop and give people a choice a starter deck or a pack you’ve made yourself with some juicy goodies in or some bulk would be a great way to get the community involved
@Team APS: I notice an error unless this is different in the physical card game as diffrent rules about the same situation, in the digital card game like yugioh master duel, and if De-spell reveal a card in yugioh master duel, and the player forgot the information about the reveal trap card, they can take a look at the log as the reminder for the information and the detail of the reveal card would show on the log.
here's an idea one person has a budget of $100, the other one has a budget of 500-1000, both use the money online to buy cards (its all filmed obv) and then they duel best of three.
I never bought a mystery box but I've done the 20 mystery card packs from like Walmart a few times, drafted with them for fun. It was a fun time. Honestly.

Trell and Paul are my favorites to see in videos, for sure. (No offense, the rest of APS - you all are great!)

Truly incredible etiquette and example as someone who's only played DL/DM since coming back
A duel in which both players think their opponent is playing 4D chess, but actually neither of them knows what they're doing.

What a legend.

Once bought a random box of Magic cards on Amazon and played them as 1 giant deck that 7 of us played from for absolute chaos
So it sounds like they knew who you were ordering this... Meaning they definitely made these boxes better than they would be for the average person.

The blazing Cartesia 35+ea tho so
Wait, he paid $1000 and that was the best deck he could build ?
It's a mystery box
It was $1000 worth of bulk, scaled retro packs, a decent structure deck and swag.
@@KaoruMzk hardly even 1 grand in bulk there was like at max 200 bucks of stuff in there
Self explanatory. Mystery boxes are terrible in value 99% of the time, you only buy it if you crave the excitement of opening something unknown.
In all honesty, the $1000 pack seemed to have less cards and more extra accessories
This was pretty awesome, combining the secret box revealing and the duel was awesome

I bet the so call..."$1000" is only worth...maybe $250 at the most. Also the "$100" is likely worth no more than $40.
That was fun! Surprisingly close game.
