DIY Garden Bench - Easy and Cheap! [great project for kids]

I believe this is the easiest and cheapest garden bench you could possibly make. At Woodward Acres, we made 2 of these and this video walks you through us making the second one.
Your shopping list is basically 3 boards.
1 - 2x8x10"
1 - 2x6x8"
1 - 2x10x8'
and then some lag bolts. I put three 1/2 x 4" lags on each side so for one bench you would need 6 and for two benches you would need 12 total.
Now one thing I did differently is because the 2x6 and 2x10 are actually enough wood for 2 benches I added a second 2x8 to the shopping cart and then I had enough wood for both benches.
If we can do it we believe you can do it. In the video I broke down prices too so if you live near Home Depot, Lowes and Menards I show you which one is cheaper.

I would add going to your Lowe's or Home Depot or anywhere they sell lumber and look through the cull pile. Most all of it is half off or less.

Nice, but those are not "lag bolts". They are carriage bolts.
