Another successful "family" project. The continuous interaction and explanation to your audience is just brilliant and I just love watching your videos. I'm sure the client was very pleased with the outcome as it was so professionally done. Great job and well done you guys !!
I am a big fan of yours and I have been subscribed for for a while now, I go back and rewatch your videos and I love how you have your daughters in the workshop. Best to you
Enjoyed another fine build by you and family. Way to go pops by having your daughters lend a hand. They’ll never forget these experiences. You will live on and be remembered each time they get a whiff of cut wood. Money can’t buy those memories. Best wishes for many more years of building.
I really like this bench and that coffee stain is beautiful. Thank you for the detailed build video, and it's good to see your young daughters working beside you in your shop and their interest in woodworking. Blessing to all of you.!! New subscriber from ~Pataskala, Ohio, USA~
The smiles and faces of your kids in the camera are really a nice touch of fresh air in wwing( in comparing to other wwing channels ). I always joke around while wwing. I loved it when i was working with my grandpa (my hero my inspiration my bigest fan my mentor).
Thank you for your well thought out and well narrated videos. They have helped me tremendously. I love that you have your family involved. Your daughter made me actually rewind to take a second look at her smile when she poked her head in on this build. Her smile shows that you are doing the right thing by her and her passing her smile on gave me an uplift in my day also. You all should be proud. Thank You.
Really liked the video. It was great to watch you and your daughters create such nice benches. I have ordered a set of the plans and look forward to creating a few benches as gifts for friends. Looking forward to your next video.
Hi Maurice! I did send the set of plans to you. Thank you very much for the order. Those benches will make spectacular gifts. You are very generous. Thank you for watching ~James
Nice job 👍👍 I wish I had the knowledge, patience and tools to do that. Great to see your daughter’s helping and learning from you. It will certainly help them throughout life.
Well done, sir. Those are gorgeous, well crafted benches. I really enjoy the narration you do through out the clip. It makes following the steps and understanding very easy. thank you for posting this.
Hello James, what can I say another great project and of course a winning team the family. After making your Adrinoack chair I would like to try and make this bench. Thankyou for the clear and transparant explanation you shortly make projects for life?? Best regards to you and the family. Frank from Italy...
You are a great teacher. Fantastic job. Loved watching your girls helping you. I always liked diy myself still do but cant do it as much at 70. lol Just keep enjoying the work and the helpers. God bless
Built this from the plans for my dining room table and it works wonderfully. Keep it on furniture sliders so that it is against the opposing wall instead of up to the table all the time. Build went quite well as the plans are good and James explains it really well in the video. I probably watched the video 3 (7? 12?) times during building to make sure I had it all explained enough in my head. Slapped some cushions on it and when we all are gaming around the table, people are able to sit at it for 4 hours without complaint. Really cant complain at all.
Great project Great helpers super family effort and thanks for the dimensions .....just watched it i miss my family i need to make benches like that when i get home ....stuck here in canada ....Covid lock down .....really enjoyed the video
It’s great to see the younger generation involved with there parents projects instead of playing killing video games or protesting and hurting destroying or killing people thank you very much for you and family
It is great to see your daughters working with you in the shop. Should the box have some drawings holes? I realize the stain was chosen by the customer, but my current favorite stain for rustic projects is Minwax's Driftwood stain. On pine it gives an olive (grayish green) shading.
Fantastic, can' wait till my baby girl grows up and my workshop will be finished so I can teach HER what you teach me, thank you for the vid. I really appreciate the furniture builds. Oh and ask people to turn on the notification, it's easy to miss and forget since some people have over 100 subscriptions. Thank you!
Hi You forgot to thank your girls for helping you, it is nice to see a hole family working together. I had to check that this was "Kings Fine Woodworking" as you did not go totally overboard with the glue?. PS I love pocket screw as well and think they get a lot of bad press.
Great sturdy bench. In heavy rain, will water get into the storage area? maybe a foam or neoprene seal around the opening and a metal hook and eye closer
The One person I can not figure out is the long haired guy every now and then,, Your Wife,, Mom of My and Sy does the filming,,and your two daughters are the best helpers,,and crafters in any shop around,,, I am adopting your family woodworking show,,and will in time become a customer,,, for now, I watch more than once every now and then...to each f you as Individuals,,united as family is wonderful to witness,,
Nice work. Been thinking I might build a garden bench and I like the idea having storage. Careful your photo bomber daughter might be looking to take over the show. lol. Nice when we get help, especially when the help is a daughter or son. My daughter has helped me with a water feature out back. Also with mechanic and woodwork projects. My son has also helped.
Enjoyed the video. New subscriber here. Really enjoyed the techniques you shared and how you included your family in the project and the video. It’s special to have our kids help out on these types of projects.
Hello my friend, I want to congratulate you for the excellent work done, I also want to give you another congratulations, for doing this service as a family. I am Jorge Wilhelm of Brazil, petroleum pernambuco.
can't wait to see your video on pocket holes - I think they are real tough. Especially when you use good joinery - joining design. your bench is built for a completely different reason. Mine is for my kitchen - and I have three more builds to match - coming up.
I just found your videos this morning and I love them!!! Those benches are awesome!!!! Even with the coffee stain on them they are great!!! It takes a special set of parents and especially a Dad to involve his children and especially his daughters in what he does for a living for one, but to go even further and teach them your trade, which is one they can take forward in life and save themselves a lot of money knowing how to work with their hands, build things and problem solve as well as knowing the math and sciences behind the various cuts and builds they may find themselves wanting to build, from something as simple as a plain shelf to a mansion if they so choose!!! You are doing that for them!!! You are instilling life skills in them that most never see or get as they rarely offer anything like it in school, and most parents are kept purposefully busy to prevent self sufficient and self sustaining teachings out of the mainstream, and out of the knowledge of our up and coming youth, making them ever more dependent on those who control the food supply, the petrol supply, the water, and other utilies, supplies and for shelter and medical, all knowledge they have made sure via propaganda and brainwashing convincing young adults generation after generation, the old ways are obsolete and unnecessary, only to find out they are the utmost important when any disaster strikes!!! You are a blessing unto your family and now unto those of us who have your channel!!! Praise the LORD above!!!
Great video, James. And a very cool build. There goes my weekend! It's a shame cedar is so expensive here in the UK; I'll end up using pine and slopping on lots of protection afterwards. I love that your daughters are so involved in your projects, great bonding time. Keep up the good work.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - SUBSCRIBE! It really helps us out.
Thank You ~James

Nice work with quite a bit of effort...

Well done, King family! I agree about preferring the natural color of the wood, instead of the stain.
Thanks 👍
Hi Barbara. Thanks.

Same here, I don´t like staining wood at all but on very specific situations.

Great job. I do have to say though the stain was hideous a real crime against cedar. I do understand though clients have to be happy.
