Great video for people who are hoping to make something from wood first time in their life. Thank you!
Thanks!
Hey Steve, I just want to think you for your videos and your down-to-earth attitude, but most of all I'd like to thank you for all of the free plans that you make available. So many other "makers" seem to be interested only in making money and those plans are NOT free. You make making sawdust fun!
Who is Steve?
Thanks for the show - nice and quick project 👍 😀
Always a pleasure to look at your video
really simple and love this
Built a smaller version of this for my granddaughters, came out great! Thanks for sharing.
Great build video and bench. I like how you have a good mix of videos for all skill levels. Thanks!
To Mr. Peters: Dearest Peters, you represent a true Engineer in the art of woodworking. All the videos I've seen, they represent not only your soul, but the well-being of those who can and want to demonstrate the grandeur of Art.
Congratulations.
Now THAT's a beginner's project! Many thanks, Jon.👍🏼👏🏼🙏🏻
I just built this today, Thank You so much for the easy to do video!! You are a Fantastic teacher!
Love your videos, great explanations, tips and tricks. Thank you Jon
Great video, love these. Super simple yet very elegant; plus you can stain it or paint it to give it character.
Just completed the design for a bench on our Easement Trail. Thank you for the tutorial.
Thank you for this instructional video. I really appreciate its simplicity.
Hi Everyone, I shared the plans for this project on my FaceBook you will find them at this link Facebook: facebook.com/pages/Art-Home-by-Jon-Peters/312021729836
Have a nice weekend, Jon

Fantastic work, Jon! Beautiful bench! 😃
Thanks a lot for all the tips!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Great video. I am new to this woodworking since retirement last year. Everything on this video was well explained and very clear.
Thanks Daniel
Awesome job Sir really enjoy your videos and how you take the time to explain thanks for the free plans and the advice keep up the good work.
Thank you for an instruction that is clear, informative and complete.
Nice and simple build.
And I like the trick you used to make sure that your pencil ✏️ mark is rite on, by placing the point on the tick Mark and sliding the square up to it.
Thanks Jon
Very nice, Jon~! Simple, strong, & functional~!
This is fine furniture too! And doable by one and all!
Nice bench Jon and thanks for the tips you provided!
Very nice and perfect furniture, lovely to watch, you are using different tools, it is also nice.
Thanks John this the bench I will build; super simple
Thank you John
.God bless
Appreciate it. Nice build.
Also if outside, don't forget to protect and seal.
Hola! 🖐Really nice project, thanks for making the video. Your way of presenting makes it feel much more approachable. I will put this on the To Build List. Take care and have a good, one, Adios!👊
Thanks for the simplicity
Great idea looks awesome 👍👏😎🤚
Pressure treated...if outside...sorted apart from that very good video

Thank you.
Awesome!!
you´re the men dud !
Awesome video
Thanks!
Great video
Thank you 🙏🏾
@@djjoeykmusic thanks!
nice and easy. I will also try and add a back support. We shall see.
Great project Jon. I think an all 2x4 version including the top would be great (but then I love making all 2x4 projects). For the feet, have your son 3D Print plastic covers that fit over the 2x4 legs to protect them from the dirt as you describe at 8:03.
You around here as well? 😮
A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.
MC’s creations - I’ve been a fan of Jon’s long before he was even at 100k subs. Love his barn too. It a dream workshop to me. Office above, workshop below.
@@FilamentFriday I totally agree with you on that! 😊
Very nice work and great work ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Thanks !
You are Smart
Very nice bench build Jon! 👍 At some point, I would love to see your take on building a chicken coop. Plans for that project would be nice! 👍👍🐓🐓
Thanks Steve, I’ll need to get some chicken first 😂👍
Video watched ✅
would love to see an outdoor diy bar
Awesome video. TY!!!! Any recommendation's for a weatherproof stain etc.??
For new DIYers: A super easy way to make this look a bit less basic is to cut the ends of the seat at an angle … 30, 45, whatever’s easy on the Skilsaw.
Nice video jon,at the end of the video you mentioned to paint the bottoms of the legs and/or set them on pavers, would you recommend something like Thomson's water sealer for the rest of the bench???
Nice bench. I was watching this video because I built an outdoor work bench. Any tips on how what to use to keep it water proof?
I wonder if I built 2 of these benches. One sanded, routed, glued. Would the client, my kids, notice a difference. Things we ponder...... Thanks and appreciated
That’s one ‘screwed-up’ bench:-)
Jon I'm definitely going to tackle this project this spring but wouldn't PT be better since it will live outside? Love your stuff!
Thanks Kelly, yes but this bench will live on a deck so I think it will be fine… I will give it a coat of teak oil.
Thanks John. Great video. Do you use pressure treated wood for this project?
He did not
Thanks, yes but not on this project
GREAT VIDEO > HOW DO I GET THE FREE PLANS > I DO NOT HAVE FACEBOOK ???
Hi Jon how do u like the Milwaukee driver and drill ? I am thinking about buying a set
I like them 👍👍
Yo Bro., after 2 yrs. of Ange being in da trenches she finally came home wit da King Fu Flu!! Then I got it bye taking care of her. Saw the notification for the video and am happy because the next 8+ mins. of my life aren't gonna suck😂👍. All joking aside, we're both quickly on the mend. Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!
Im sorry to hear that Mike! Glad your both doing better.
I wish to make a few items as well as you. So, I was just wondering and interested to know if you have a Pateron membership? Probably spelled it wrong, sorry..
Hi Jon,
Is there anyway to get your free plans other than face book?
I am not on face book
Thanks, I love you work thank you
Thanks, not at The moment I’m having some trouble with my website
One question why no pilot screws for this . Is it because its softwood ?
Yes that’s it 👍
What kind of painting do you recommend me for a bench like this and put it on a yard?... THANKS
I’ve been using Benjamin Moore Command with good results.
Why the star head screws?
What screws do you think is better?
Im a total beginner that has used both. I found that phillips ones stripped easy when i had to correct mistakes and re-screw, also the bit slipped often. The star ones never stripped and gripped the bit better, never fell or anything. They were solid.
Just from my very limited experience.
This was great, but to be honest Id expect more from Jon after those brilliant tables and dressers. But naturally outdoor bench cant be as fancy as those, but still feel this was downgrading little too far. From fans point of view that is.
I get it , the next project will be a bit nicer
Will you be my neighbor?
