Thanks for the video. I didn’t realise that it was possible to mount a Constellation Alpha on the collective. That gives a lot more buttons,axis and so on than the SharKa-50 grip.

I have the base plus arriving this week ...I did not order a grip with it as I've not decided what heli to stick with in DCS & I really just need the collective & throttle. I have a custom cockpit with 6 MFD (Multifunction Displays) each has 20 programable buttons & my cyclic grip has more. The last thing I need is more buttons to program so thought I'd save $300. & not buy a grip for it. Do I NEED a grip to make this work?

It was by default set to rudder by DCS, which wasn't very useful. How is the virpil software grip side (left/right) and disabling twist figure into this?

The VPC Rotor TCS PLUS collective bass has a twist grip throttle, but the regular VPC Rotor TCS collective base doesn’t have a twist grip throttle, so how do control the throttle with the regular non-Plus collective base?
either pick buttons on the grip for throttle increase / decrease, or just use the keyboard ............... you only touch the throttle control ONCE ... and once only when spooling up the engines , you never touch it again. Buy the NONE plus version, the extra £121 is a waste of money to be honest
Hi HCC,, I have the virpil collective system but my collective is not working windows advises driver failed ,,can u help with this could it be a cable problem your advice would be gratefull
defo try the cable first , my first cable broke very quickly at the connector end that goes into the throttle itself, try a different cable if u have one
Gretchen Video, but i still have problems: in dcs i start the huey ans wenn i just slightly move the collective, the helo goes up full Power and there is no way to go down again... Anyone can help?
Hey man it would be great to see more pictures of your setup. How comfortable is the Alpha-L to use in this way?.. seems like real collective controls lean "upwards" into the wrist a bit more, whereas this seems like it would point down and away from you.
I have been meaning to do a video of my set-up ... will get round to it someday ... it work pretty well as I fly for a couple of hours per day using it

Yeah i picked the alpha-L for that very reason, it is a nice combo

not sure if it will work without a grip , try and see if config tool lets you configure it

I have an unrelated question ...when using Russian aircraft in DCS ...is there a way to change button & cockpit labels to English?

test your device using VPC joytester and see if the buttons are working ok

Well it's not a waste of you also fly helo's with a twist grip throttle, e g. Huey.

yes it will work with MSFS 2020, I do recommend the NON plus version of the collective

I just ordered a Warbird base and a Constellation Alpha grip. Is the same thing I will need to do when my items arrive?

invert the axis and make sure it is set to slider in DCS config (Axis tune)
