    Can confirm the counterbalance extra screw will work on the default virpil mount on the tall side, in one of the square holes as you correctly assume. Virpil have offical instructions for this in their manual in the support section, as well as for if you use the mount upside down on the short side

    Still waiting for the delivery of the collective and the apache grip. Should have arrived today but seems to be postponed till tomorrow. Regarding the arm rests of the monster tech chair, I switched the left for right one and vice versa and they are a good bit more set back this way which I hope will solve your problem for me. Maybe give it a try. :)

      I like that idea it would certainly give you a couple of centimetres extra clearance with the arms angled back probably a better option to start with. Honestly I'm really happy with being able to remove the arm when I like it takes seconds to do and is still rock solid when attached.

      @@bigbangerz5856 Yeah, I watched your other videos after this one and than understood what you've done with your armrest. Unfortunatly I lack the tools as well as the skills to do the metal working. ;)
      My package arrived on friday and it works for me with my solutions and I even think without the armrest it might become quite strainful for my arm after a while. :D Still struggling a bit with all the new buttons and especially how to use the zoom in 2d.

    Is there a way to raise the entire collective up so it's perpendicular to the floor? I have a cockpit setup that is primarily for jets. I'd like to add a collective but there is no gap at the side of the chair between the throttles and the seat. So when I'm flying jets I'd like a 'quick release' to move it up and out of the way. But when I switch to Helos, then I can move my throttle sideways and make space between that and my chair and lower the collective down to it's proper, usable position.

      There are always options, what you could do for example is swap out the M6 hexbolts with Clamping Lever Handles on an M6 thread. What I do is keep my throttle and control box separate and then swap (via quick release) the collective for a left-handed joystick on Z-extension. What most people do it seems is make the space i.e. move the throttle further out to the left in order to make a gap.

    Can you do a keybinding guide? I just received mine and I am new to the Apache.

      not sure I understand what you mean, for my flightstick I use a VPforce Rhino now which is force feedback but the collective is not

      Thanks for the video. Is your answer about collective staying would be still valid on a motion platform able to +/-30degrees pitch and roll ? I mean is it some kind of lockable position or the collective stays where it is only due to the counterbalance and the level of tension of springs? Because I’m doubtful about the use on my MXP PRIME motion rig even I’m very tempted to buy one….

    • @bigbangerz5856
      @bigbangerz5856  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      well you might have to increase the clamp tension on the TCS rotor base more @@jayphi4095 I think you will be ok cos the MXP platform works off linear actuators which are inherently smooth so unless you crash or hit the deck hard the movement won't be too violent, and you would have your hands on the collective during landing anyway. Tell you what if you can get MXP to send me their Bumble platform I'll test it out for you 😁

    Is there an American version of the grip in Inches instead of centimeters?😉
