    H&K is importing the USC again. We take a look at the new Heckler & Koch USC carbine in .45 ACP. Back in 2000 we saw the original H&K USC hit the US market but the guns were made in gray. Now the HK USC is available in black thus making the conversion to a HK UMP much easier. How reliable is the new HSC? Well, we find out in this segment.

    You can call our best in industry customer service and we will get you a new front sight, for free, like we would do for any customer, even if it was someone else breaking it. We brought in less than 500 USCs, the odds that one of them was missed durring inspection is almost zero, but maybe we did. Also, we would quickly replace any mag with issues, something rare, but not unheard of. Also, we have zero affiliation with HKParts and cannot speak to the quality of parts that they make. Freedom Munitions ammo is not of good quality, especially in the last 18 months, the ejection pattern should be very consistent, like it is on all our firearms. The reason the UMP was designed was because of law enforcement agencies requesting a modern polymer 45 design. All of our weapons are designed because of military or law enforcement requests. Our quality is not slipping, has never slipped, and will not slip, in any way. Tom Bostic is the man.

      Mmmm cracked plastic. Too many handouts from merkel to your new “countrymen” had to cut costs. This gun is junk and is ugly as sin. Keep on sliding; sig is getting lonely at the bottom.

      Heckler & Koch i realize this is likely just a marketing account but magazines can be really finicky, are you sure that no bad batches have ever gone through? having worked NDE and worked along side QA, I wouldnt say QA is ever 100% reliable, and neither would most QA technicians unless procedure demanded testing of each magazine rather than a batch sampling method.

    Just bought a new USC in 2024. Came in a fancy range bag, with the red HK multi tool, a lock, paper manual, and two 10rd magazines.
    So far it's been a gem, even bought another 5 factory magazines, all have been trouble free.
    I replaced the front sight assy with the XS Sights big dot.
    Highly recommended!

  • @jacobmanso6763
    @jacobmanso6763 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Ive owned one for a while now. Had the same magazine issues but easy remedy was to disassemble the magazines and stretch the spring slightly. No issues after that. No last round bolt hold open issues. My USC was purchased back in 2008. Great quality in my experience. I SBR'd mine.

      Drift King not so. I bought an APC 45 and it was a complete lemon. They exchanged it and sent me a new APC 45 and that too was a complete lemon. I started a thread about it on m4carbine.net. I can tell you that B&T has a good reputation for quality but if you have a problem good luck.

      Ariel Danziger B&T is actually more well established here in Canada than in the US (their office in Saskatchewan has been around for a lot longer than their office in Florida). We have also had their products since the late 2000s. Probably because they don't have to worry about 922r compliance. Sorry about your bad experience.

    Thank you for being completely honest and open with us, and producing a video that does not promote how wonderful everything is. I was just looking at this carbine, and was in the process of purchasing this firearm. You saved me 1400 dollars! Inspections do not work; this is a quality mindset from 1980s. Perhaps H&K should be looking for a Quality Director that is familiar with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma Quality processes than looking to bring in more inspections. I doubt that it would be rare to find anyone in their customer service department that knows what Kaizen means.
    That is why copper custom is my preferred vendor of choice. I will ask and get straight talk on what they believe to be the best in class of what ever type of firearm I am looking to purchase. You guys rock, BTW, did I mention that that you saved me 1400 dollars. 😀

      Saw a guy at a full auto shoot demonstrate to an old timer how tough it is who was skeptical of a $250 used 9mm rifle. He literally picked it up and slammed it as hard as he could. It cracked the mag carrier off that just clips on but the rest was still functional and in tact. The old man bought one right then.

      I’m one of the very few. How can I do it? Because I’m not paid by manufacturers or importers. I am viewer funded by my Patreons. I’m not beholden to the industry, I’m a consumer advocate because my Patreons make it so I don’t need sponsorships, affiliate programs and freebies. That’s why I show the good and more importantly the bad of products. It pisses the manufacturers off because I’m not for sale, and Lord knows they have tried to buy me off more than once. I posted an example of a recent attempt to my Patreons.

    I always get a kick out of the posters at HKPRO. One guy is an expert on the backstop (I had to shoot that direction FOR safety reasons until we moved the berm), there’s a great comment about me leaving brass in a farm field (we pick up our empties), a couple are completely loosing their minds because I had a problem with the magazines. Then my favorite dingbat post, one fanboy said HK likely didn't pay me enough money so I'm getting even with them. 😂😂😂You can't make this stuff up!
    They’re dreaming up all sorts of hysterical scenarios, things like it was my dealers fault for the issues. My dealer received two brand new guns as they’re new products and I grabbed one. They didn’t sell it to someone else, then took it back with defective mags, then resold it to me. I mean, where do they get these hysterical notions? LOL The OP is calling it a “hit piece” as if everything is fabricated, which sets the whole tone for the rambling conspiracy theories that follow.
    The only thing worse than a Glock fanboy is a HK fanboy. If you have a legit problem with a HK firearm, the fanboys call you an idiot and blame everyone and everything but HK for the problems. There’s some screen shot worthy stupidity over there. If you want a good chuckle, follow the link:
    www.hkpro.com/forum/hk-talk/470816-yet-another-hk-hit-piece-mac-youtube.html
    I will say there are a handful of rational posters over there speaking the truth to the riled up, frothing at the mouth fanboys, but they're being ignored. A number of them said, "If I got a new $1400 gun and the mags didn't work or the sight was broken I wouldn't be happy either." Such a rational post doesn't fair well in a gaggle of fanboys.
    Oh, an update! My local gun shop where I bought it (not Copper) hooked me up with a replacement front sight. Now all I need to do is resolve the 10 round magazine issue which TommyBuilt can do for me. I just wish I could get original HK 9mm parts to make one a 9mm. I guess I’ll leave one as a 16” gun and make the other a SBR.

    • @Militaryarmschannel
      @Militaryarmschannel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      So the members complaining about my experience with their pet brand,and who threw complete hissy-fits, finally got the thread locked because "monetized channels aren't allowed to promote on HKPRO." I wasn't "promoting" myself, I was responding to the lies being told about me.
      Even the moderator struggles with his maturity it seems. He went so far as to say that the lies told about me by board members was actually me creating controversy for views, before he locked the thread and thus blocking me from responding to his sophomoric claim.
      It seems the forums have turned into a bunch of keyboard commandos and trolls who pat each other on the back for trolling legitimate content creators and internet users. What's disconcerting is that often times these are grown men acting like 8th graders. Oh heck, I shouldn't say that because it's insulting to 8th graders who have more developed soft skills.
      There's a reason I say off the forums, and the "HKPRO's" just reaffirmed why. You have to have an IQ roughly that of your own shoe size and blindly worship a product/brand to be in the "in" crowd.

Bring a braced pistol version of the UMP to market with a threaded barrel and double stacked magazines for around $1200 and it would print money with all of the people who would buy it just because of the videogames it is in. Also bring a G36 variant without the silly SL8 features to market and we will love you again.

      they are making the sp5k somehow. the problem with those for me is the cost and no threading for suppressors. that killed the UMP and the sp5k who wants to buy a new barrel or customise a new gun just to get it the way it should be anyways.

    • @anthonyscrimo
      @anthonyscrimo 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont know if they are making a straight up SP5, but they are making a k configuration and it does not have a trilug or threaded muzzle. You have to buy an aftermarket barrel which are $200 I believe and the B&T version is $400 if I'm not mistaken. Still a great gun, I only wish it had a bolt hold open (which I know the originals didn't) and have the paddle release, which you can have installed but more money for a $2000 firearm

    Isn't typical velocity for a 45ACP in a 5" barrel around 850fps? So 1025fps out of a 16" is actually a moderate increase, though not enough to cancel out the benefits of an SBR.

    • @OneCentArms
      @OneCentArms 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm with Hermit on this one, 800 to 850 fps is what a .45acp usually shoots out of a 5 inch barrel. Look up "45acp Barrel velocity test ... 3in. vs 5in. (retest)" and you can see that just 2 inches throws that .45acp off by 60 fps.

      Gaspard129 well, $2,000 for effectively a UMP isn't bad for a collector, either an H&K collector or a subgun collector, but that's about it. A KRISS Vector is only around $1,600 after tax stamp and stock, and is better than the UMP imo, even though in not a big fan of it. I'd rather get an SBR Thomson than a UMP. Only an HK collector could really consider the UMP viable.

      No, you're not wrong. Returning a gun, and returning a car are VERY different things. Depending on where you buy it, a gun purchase is usually permanent. I'd imagine it's a liability issue, and a transfer issue.
      You can send them back to the factory depending on the factory warranty, but dealers won't usually replace them, especially if it's bought from a large corporation. Smaller gun stores may differ in their policy, but it's something to inquire about first. The lesson, look a gun over very well before you buy it, and if there's anything you don't like about it, or concerns you, request a different gun if they have one.

On my third squeeze of the plastic trigger, an internal plastic part snapped, resulting in a dead trigger. The weapon went back to HK for repair. He was eventually able to obtain a metal trigger.

    Some Parts are Wear and Replace
    I went to the HK Website because of this video and discovered that there are several parts that are expected to get broken or wear out under normal use. The Front Sight is one of those and replacement segments are available for 11-14 bucks. Another part is a rubber recoil buffer bumper, rear sights, front sight roll pin and buttstock screws. I ordered several of these items to just have in my HK range bag as they are all fairly cheap and nice to have.

    The 15 round promags work great in my experience, and I’ve also never had a problem with my oem usc mags either though
