GREAT VIDEO!! I have owned a USC since they first came out back in early 99 and I have one of the first ones to come into the country in the Puke baby Blue! I have been wanting to convert it to a UMP but I have been afraid of doing it because of the TIME and COST of Sending it To SOMEONE to get it DONE but you just SHOWED IT BE VERY EAST to DO the CONVERSION! I have allot of experience working with Other weapon Platforms like AR, Glocks, Sigs and 1911 so getting into the Guts of my USC would not be a MAJOR DEAL and I am OLD Fashion I like to work with FILES Nice and SLOW specially when Fitting parts so I can get Awesome Results. Glad to hear it! Taking your time and patience is the key. But yes it is very easy! I have done 2 so far. The hardest part is milling your receiver vents. Go slow cut small amounts and use lots of lube. The plastic gets hot and makes a molten mess. Not a big deal if you take your time. I don't do a lot of gun videos anymore due to you tube hating gun channels. I'm trying to grow my channel and potentially make a side business out of it. So now I video outdoor activities: Hunting, utv, mountain biking & hopefully some fishing.
Was thinking about a kriss vector now that I seen this video im pretty sure about the ump45 plans for the end of year last project got 4 now 1. Hellion 2.X95 3.aug. 4 usc ...1&2 hope to have by May and number 3. September.. usc at the end year so thanks for the help for the last project 👍👍
Hey man, loved the video! Just curious, what kind of dremel bit did you use to open up the magwell? Also how did you manage to reliably trace out the new dimensions for the magwell? Did you just overlay the UMP mag on the hole and trace it or something?
Hi. You did the best video on the conversion. Every detail adds up to the end result. Question, can the UMP lower be used with single stack? Is the extra room a problem? I'm going for the stock conversion only, without expanding my mag well. Since HK's stock block doesn't have a built in grip, I'm forced to the UMP lower. Also, using the basic safety on/off version, will those UMP markings align with the USC safety? Thanks, friend.
That’s way too much money for a plastic gun just to replace half of it with more plastic parts. Build a 10.5” 9mm ar that accepts glock mags and throw on a sb brace. Completely legal and It’ll run forever believe me 😁

My local gun store was asking $1799 for the USC and another $1300 for the conversion. What did you pay for both? Thanks for a great video.
I bought USC for 1,350 and converted myself. Total cost including parts 1,950.

They are held on with screws. The receiver has threaded inserts.
