For cars with Electric Park Brakes. Put it into service mode and you can literally push the piston back in with your finger. No need for that tool, you run on the risk of damage. No scanner required either on Fusion there's a procedure do put it into service mode in the owners manual. Never use force on electric park brakes.

Get so many different procedures for doing the rears pads on fusions I try the emergency brake procedure thing in the freaking piston came popping out cuz I wasn't watching what I was doing and I have the toolkit like this but then you get people that say you don't need the toolkit you do it by doing the emergency brake procedure but when I was doing it the Piston was not going in it was coming out
CaliPer, CaliPer, CaliPer! Caliber is the size of a bullet. Please do tell where the 35mm torque tool is used. What size allen wrench? Inch or metric? So do I just go into Auto Zone and ask for a "rental kit"? Last I checked, they had a whole shelf unit full of "rental kits" for different things...ball joints, universal joints, steering wheel pullers, harmonic balancer pullers, and many others.
I did the right rear on the exact same car without doing the emergency brake procedure I just had the tool to spin in the calipers and then I went to the left rear and it would not go in all the way ended up having to get a freaking caliper because I saw the procedure for the ebrake and when I was doing it the Piston wasn't going in it was coming out and I was doing this by myself and the next thing you know the Piston came falling out and brake fluid everywhere and I had to get another caliper
So I guess you can do it either way I don't know why these cars are so freaking complicated I've done hundreds of brake jobs with that tool I've never run into a problem except with a 2015 Fusion SE

You don't need that special tool. All you have to do is put electronic brakes into service mode.
On my car they still did not retract fully. Had to turn them all the way in

You do not need the special tool. All you have to do is put it in maintenance mode on your - and you can push it in as normal.

Didn't apply grease to guide pins, brake pad ends or back of pad. Isn't it going to squeek a lot?
It is recommended on this vehicle I did not and 10 miles later no squeaking. Still I would recommend…thanks!

Cant you just use a clamp instead of the special tool?
can you use a c clamp instead of the caliper tool?
@@daviedmx38 Hi, it calls for a caliper tool so I would not risk using a c-clamp…the tool is free with deposit at any auto parts store.

Dont the two indentation on the piston you turned in have to be in a certain alignment
Hi and thanks you would need to research that one but in my experience has not been an issue
45 torq for caliber bolts
When those things rust inside, they're a pain to take off without snapping them

Hi yes just ask autozone or parts store for brake caliber kit and they will provide the correct one

The tools that you got did they come with the dura last gold box or no?
They were depart , required a deposit and once returned you get full deposit back.
Duralast box only included brake pads and rental kit was separate you pay a deposit and it is refunded when kit is returned

I believe 7mm
Good video but you don’t need a special tool to get calipers compressed, you can use a C clamp for that which is pretty cheap
These pistons on the calipers turn instead of being compressed with a C clamp
