    • @reduande
      @reduande 3 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      @@Paxton365 not in this case, Empire's arsenal is high powered and armored, but has low endurance once damaged... (they go for cheaper but more policy). Republic is famous for reliability of it's equipment... Technically, if the republic design is made with Empire tech, it would beat it every time. The empire walkers have too many weak points, but it is not exploited because of their plot armor... Why do you think tanks have low and flat profile? Side note, Empire have very good scout walkers.

    • @fishfossils8858
      @fishfossils8858 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      @@reduande yeah no, the plot armor is in favor of the good guys not the walkers. The AT-ATs have forcefields and thicker armor than the AT-TEs. The only reason they exploit “weak points” is the same reason the storm troopers have such “poor accuracy” despite Obi-Wans own words “only Imperial StormTroopers are to precise”. AT-TEs were prone to sabotage, and in the second battle of Kyshyyyk the wookies made an absolute mockery of Republic era equipment, yet Imperial technology (like yes, AT-ATs) came back years later and defeated the Wookies. Just because you see the Imperial equipment get destroyed doesn’t make it bad.

In the off-chance they’re able to do so when they just started rebelling, chances are they have a lot of allies or 1 very rich ally. Or both. Of course, they could make droids out of scrap metal. @@nameynamename3758 but the thing is, do they infinite man power? I mean sure the clones nor the droids have infinite man power, but they can outproduce the empire ten times over with just soldier production, especially since later down the road the empire get rid of the clone production.
      The thing is about clones and droids, is that you can make them very accurate, give them an order and they will follow. Clones could and can revolt the order of course but there not human, there clones they are bred and made for what the republic wants. The same thing can happen with droids.
      Yes the empire primarily will have better technology, but that’s from the start, and remember the empire is not very liked, even if In this universe the rebels don’t exist If the republic, CIS, and empire exists does not mean that the empire will not have civil discord at all.
      If you look at everything here, the clone republic and the Cis not many planets really hated both sides, except a few, some truly believed the cis and some truly believed the republic.
      But the empire, the empire was made by a very risky, and I mean risky overthrowing, many planets even with the empire breathing down there necks got independents, albeit with many consequences.
      Many planets would rather choose the republic or CIS really the core worlds or most of the core world have stayed for the empire, as it did show the empire focusing on the core worlds influence and then going to planets with resources.
      With the Republic and CIS existing in this universe, the galactic empire will have a disadvantage overall with planets.
      Plus I meant full power of all the galactic powers from there prime, and because now this war is now not with only the Republic and CIS there likely not gonna focus each other down like before.
      It would be a long war but in this I see the empire falling not because of its power it has plenty of that, but it will fall at some point because the almost infinite man power both the clone republic and Cis has plus with planets getting in there hands more than the empire, that will probably also boost research.
      The best way the empire needs to do to have a better chance of winning, is try there best to keep the more resourceful planets, while doubling production on the core worlds because like I said the empire will keep its majority of the core worlds.
      Also Jedi will be a thing because a lot of Jedi was with the republic and not the senate in the first place.
      Plus the sith side of the CIS will likely know who is the empire and now full well that even if they stayed with the empire sith they would be dead or be fooled by a plan.

    I would hate to see what would happen to an imperial squad if they had to fight against a Grievous or Trench lead team, or a Jedi lead clone squad of the 501st, the 212th, or the 104th.
    I mean, the quality of Jedi and Separatist leadership varied wildly (Jedi were peacekeepers, not military men, and the Separatists either relied on tactical droids or militia leaders of varying quality), but even the less skilled ones were still forces to be reckoned with and the cream at the top where lethal, especially as they got used to the war.
    I can understand why the Empire changes military doctrine, and their tech is nothing to scoff at, but it's absolutely clear that they “went soft” when compared to the military forces (even just militias) of the Clone Wars era.
    Come to think of it, I wonder how rebels would have stacked up? Vs Empire, they were less equipped and less trained/disciplined, but had far more creativity and conviction, and their starfighter core was definitely central to their victory.

      @@japtakito8551 I suppose it depends... Some captain leading a group of stormtroopers? No chance
      Darth Vader, an inquisitor (not the Rebels kiddie portrayal, the inquisitors that successfully hunt Jedi and Force Users), or Thrawn leading a squad of 501st stormtroopers or Death Troopers? Now that would be a tougher matchup. I don't think they’d best an equivalent Republic Clone force (say Ashoka and a squad of 501st) but I do feel sorry for the Separatists.
      Funnily enough, I can't think of any Rebel Alliance infantry configuration that would stand any chance here.

    • @japtakito8551

      To answer your points...
      1) The AT-AT heavy blasters are powerful to penetrate other AT-ATs
      2) The Other AT-AT attacked the AT-AT because the Rebels (whom I edit them OUT mostly, because I hate them and they ruin the powerful moments of the clones and droids) took control of the AT-AT and they helped the clones win
