I saw maybe a twelve year old boy at goodwill the other day and he made me crack up because he was there with his father and was fighting him about buying a lamp. He kept shouting at his dad “ITS MID CENTURY MODERN! ITS VALUABLE! I HAVE TO BUY IT!” And the dad kept walking away from him saying a flat No….No….No. the kid started getting emotional and said “it’s a BIG mistake to walk away from this, Dad.” 😂😂 I thought “This is Andrew as a kid”
I'm sorry to complain but my goodness some items are way out of sight on prices! I haven't been for awhile to any of the Goodwill and went to two different ones the other day and lordy lordy unreal at their prices!!
After seeing the prices Jocelyn is seeing at Goodwills I don't even bother to go there anymore. When so many folks are struggling it's sad to see they can't even afford to shop at a Goodwill anymore.
@@susanburnworth7893 I think it’s an area thing. They have quality pieces and lots of inventory where Jocelyn is, here in Kentucky I’ve been to 5 in my area, house goods are sparse and cheaper quality 🤷🏼♀️. I just picked up 2 brandy glasses for .49 cents each. We have mostly newer items any anything vintage is damaged. 2 of our Goodwill stores have virtually nothing but clothes and shoes. I recently got a set of lamps for $3.50 each. I’d be glad to pay a little more if we had anything worth buying.
We only have one goodwill in our county. The last few times I've been there it has been so busy. I don't know if more people are shopping there now because of the economy? It's crazy because you'll find 2 of the same thing and they'll have 2 different prices on them. Thankfully, when I ask, they will give me the lowest of the 2 prices.
No offense to all of this but people at Goodwill know about TH-cam and they’re watching people make a profit so of course they’re going to raise their prices. Here in San Francisco are goodwill’s look like they are one step above the garbage dump. Nobody goes there and the prices are 10 times higher than any other place.
I found your videos about a month ago and I am so enjoying your humor and knowledge! I've been watching as many of your past videos as a can. I enjoy your family as well. You have a beautiful family.
Ned Foltz is a Lancaster County redware potter from Reinholds PA those plates are cool nice find my brother Andrew Loercher Is also a redware potter from Lancaster so if you ever find any of his pottery pick them up he makes some awesome pieces 🥰 very talented
The mirror that always shows up is a Home Interior mirror, i had one! They were quite expensive when I bought mine, but it painted it to match my decor and eventually it broke. Just fyi. Hugs and love from Texas! Love your shopping,i have learned a lot!
I believe the mirror is a Home Interiors Piece. The consultant based home parties were very popular back in the 90’s -early 2000’s around here in New England.
My mom would go to thrift stores and buy those individual creamers, and use them for syrup, instead of putting the big bottle on the table. I still have the ones she bought!
Your picks are my picks. Jocelyn, you know how I love sharing a good tip and as a seasoned collector/reseller, here's a good tip .... If you buy a collectable plate, saucer, etc, with a metal spring hanger (they make me cringe) on it, Remove the hanger immediately and Very Carefully. They can devalue, by causing a lot of chips, especially to something like Redware. ( :
I know the brown drip glaze bores most folks but I love it. I esp .need serving pieces. If you buy the I will buy! Lol. I just lovs them. Lol. The faux turquoise frame is cheaply wonderful
Someone local in every Goodwill you visit loves you & your videos! They watch, see what you say, read the comments & then rush & pick up what people tell you you missed. Clever, lol.😊😊❤❤💜💜
Two weeks ago you went to the good will store, there was a vintage glass yellow jar that you left behind,I looked it up on Pinterest and the cost was $41:25 each ,lucky me I found them in a goodwill for $2:99 each so I bought them all.
The lamp might be crystal. I believe Drexel made that lamp, retail was $350. Absolutely gorgeous but booth only! Le Creuset stoneware is as wonderful as its cast iron cookware. I bought the same pitcher, in white, st a rummage sale for $2. I nearly ran to my car, grinning all the way.
I'm surprised you didn't get that lucite lamp and put it in your booth. I looked at comps and it sells for big money. I'd go back and get it for sure 😊.
I’m pretty sure it’s crystal. I saw those lamps at Marshall’s about 12 years ago for $80 each. They’re by Drexel and the retail tag said $350. I’ve always regretted not buying them.
The heavy lamp could have gone in your booth. It was very pretty exspecially with the lucite. Love the video and your daughter will love the mug fir hot cocoa or soup. Merry Christmas u and your family.
We want to see your tree!!!....And the kids open their gifts on Christmas morning lol...I have a Marine that won't be home this year and my daughter and husband taking their vacation this Christmas they live and work in New Mexico
The mirror you grew up with is home interiors. I bought one at my now sister-in-laws home party for a house I didn’t even own yet. Needless to say I ended up giving it away eventually.😂
You keep me interested in your videos, you Danni Jeffery since he started buying glass again, and Misty are the best oh and Michael are great .Tried watching others they put me to sleep 😴 it's how you guys talk to us about things.
Only go to Goodwill on Mondays (new color which starts on Sunday but also color from pervious week slash I believe to one dollar) Tuesday is seniors day
OMG! I have that same strange bird sitting on a shelf in my kitchen. I picked it up several years ago, probably from a Goodwill, lol. It's a guinea hen. It reminds me of my aunt, who had them on her farm. Noisy birds! They squawked like banshees whenever anyone drove by.
In the Midwest they were mixed in with regular hens to warn the flock of predators. They are also reputed to consume pounds of ticks daily. Very rich meat & used to be sold at Central Market in Lancaster, Pa. during the holidays.
The Shenango china is from the 80's. There's a whole library on back marks because the company wanted to show the buyers how long their china would last. I have several restaurant pieces in my ebay store. They definitely are long tail. Waiting for just the right buyer.
7:32 looks like a Karl Springer lamp. Not very familiar with the lamps but the tables are crazy heavy and the signature is difficult to find. Tho KS is high end dont know if it'd show up at GW?
I enjoy your videos so much. But my favorite part is how you love your family. And how supportive of your kids hobbies and artistic interests you are.✨️🥰
The iridescent candle holder you showed at 19:21 is pretty, but it's just the container for a candle from Aldi. I know because I have it (and love the scent).
Yikes! High prices for Goodwill stores - and I thought prices at the Goodwill in Lemoyne, Pa. were getting high! At least the mugs when you need one are still .99 here.
I have found that same fairy light in the same condition. I just soaked it in warm water with dish soap and stripped the flash off it. Now it’s amber and looks great in my bathroom.
I look forward to your videos everyday.Your comments are great. When you said "Squirrel"I had to laugh not only did I get it but I say it myself. You're the best.
wahhhhhh I was hoping to get that unicorn mug(my daughter is only a cat lover) but if it has to stay with you - at least Juliette the cutie pattootie get it! enjoy your cocoa with the perfect mug!!!
There were two chrome 1980’s lamps at the Thurmont Goodwill that might be worth something. I bought one two years ago at Goodwill for my nightstand. I took it to a lighting store in Houston for bulbs and the management told me it was worth quite a bit and very desirable.
00:55 Ooh! He's Shou Xing, aka the Old Man of the South Pole. He's always shown with a staff in one arm, and the Peach of Immortality in his other hand. He's a patron god of longevity and the elderly, honoured when you celebrate Granny's birthday or something. 02:24 Kilnworks Pottery is on Saint Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. 'Tis nice enough stuff, but I wouldn't elbow someone's Ould Gran aside to get to a piece of it. 02:38 Someone has a power tool, not a vacuum. Might be a saw, or a drill, or similar. 16:56 Somehow I just can't get enthused about a doggie biscuit jar, even if it is Rae Dunn. Let 'r' sit. 18:26 No. No. No. There's plenty of other Longaberger in the world that is complete. You don't got any business buying incompletes on spec. The math doesn't add up. Put 'em back on the shelf.
Great video! It's always interesting to hear your thought process on what to buy and what to put back. By the way, I have that coffee mug that says "one cat short of crazy"!
Goodwill and other thrifts that are supposed to be charitable organizations are raising prices to where resellers are having trouble finding things that will make them money. Harder to find good items at Goodwill with so any broken items on the shelves. They get things donated, so no cost and then attempt to gouge. You can’t even get bags in my area and they still want you to round up.
That unicorn mug? Find. Of. The. Year! I am jealous! 😆 Oddly enough, I came across my first piece of Shenango recently. It was a syrup pitcher made for O'Neils in Akron. I had to guess at pricing, but did list it. But, the point of the story is that after reading about the company, Shenango is awesome 🥰
Liners for those canisters sould be availible at floral design suppliers or simply made by lining with seran wrap, followed by DIY liquid plastic. Would it be worth it? I have no idea. Lol.
New subscriber here. I just found you a couple of weeks ago. I am learning so much from you as.I build my Ebay store. Thank you so much for your content
great find with the LeCruset pitcher, but you might want to think twice about the cookware. I had a set and found it to be very high maintenance and not worth the trouble or money. for sure don't buy any that looks like the interior has ANY damage to the finish. EVERYTHING you cook will stick. EVERYTHING. we gave all of ours to goodwill.
I had never heard of a fairy light until a tiktoker showed her collection off! Well then I had to have one, first one I found on eBay 2nd one I found at a garage sale! Just love them
There was a cool game/toy on the shelves in the beginning called Find It. (Light blue top and bottom with beads in it) sometimes I find them in with the niknaks and vases. Some can be worth money, but I was thinking more of your kids would probably like it.

Did he buy it ?
FYI, the man with the peach is one of three immortals used for in home altars in some Asian homes.
I would love the mug that says”one cat short of crazy.

I bought a great pottery pie plate with a plate holder. I tried to get it off and the dang thing snapped and cracked the pie plate in half.
The Rae Dunne canister Bone Appetite is a play on words and for dog treats. Would have been great for Hank.
😂😂 I realized that while I was editing, but not while I was shopping.
I know the brown drip glaze bores most folks but I love it. I esp .need serving pieces. If you buy the I will buy! Lol. I just lovs them. Lol. The faux turquoise frame is cheaply wonderful
You were raised in Cape Cod Mass.Im from Rockland Mass and spent many years at the Cape.My daughter is there now on vacation.
I recently picked up a funky flamingo ornament and there was a tag warning that it shouldn't go in the dishwasher. 🤣🇨🇦
Haha 😂
Oh Brother😳 It's sad they have to put that warning for nitwit shoppers🤣
I use my car floor mat in the cart for shopping and my dogs. Good gets.
Someone local in every Goodwill you visit loves you & your videos! They watch, see what you say, read the comments & then rush & pick up what people tell you you missed. Clever, lol.😊😊❤❤💜💜
Nothing wrong with that. 😂
Smart someone 😁
Did she go get that lamp she left behind, lol

There are things on the shelf you pass by that I would buy. Your Goodwills are way better than around me.
Our goodwills are sad compared to what she finds.

Those lamp posts would look fantastic on your porch with the reindeer a few videos back🥰
I'm surprised you didn't get that lucite lamp and put it in your booth. I looked at comps and it sells for big money. I'd go back and get it for sure 😊.
What did you look up? It's beautiful
I look for heavy chunky loose side lamp and found them for over 800

The pale pink tote bag next to the one you looked at, is a Kate Spade and has some value.
The strange bird at the beginning is a cassowary, not an emu but another flightless bird found I. Australia that has a bone crest on it head
The Lucite lamp that was too heavy to pick up ... Be still my heart. Loved it!!
Maybe crystal?
I had that mirror for years. I really wanted it again when I saw it.

Le Cruset does also make stoneware bakeware. I have several pieces that I purchased at Wm Sonoma.
Check in plastics for inserts 🎉

What great finds. Thank You For Sharing. Please Stay Safe, Happy And Healthy and Have a Wonderful Day
Love the restaurant ware! It is the prettiest ever!
The time to buy an antique is when you see it luv all
I saw a B&O Railroad china Cup & Saucer
I wish our Goodwill stores had nice things like the ones you show. They just pile stuff on the shelves.
That mirror was home interior. That you grew up with.
Unicorn mug is SOOOOO cute 🦄😍
The candlesticks intertwine I-have a set ,love them!!!
You lived in Cape Cod and also in Kansas? Such opposite environments! Glad you live on You Tube now so we can all know you.
I’m so happy you got all those paper weights! They are beautiful! That’s enough for a great sell!
I just scored a really cute black cat mug by the same people that make the unicorn mug, MudWorks. They have cute stuff!
Not only the lining the lid on the inside to keep the sugar and all fresh and dry and clean. Those are missing half of their parts
What about the cute little all white cat that was hanging out with the rabbits you left him , love your channel (Australia)❤
I had never heard of a fairy light until a tiktoker showed her collection off! Well then I had to have one, first one I found on eBay 2nd one I found at a garage sale! Just love them
I still have that mirror! It’s from Home Interiors! The same company that had Homeco!
If you go back and the needle point that was right in the front! Please save it!!!
The lady bug eyes were so adorable
I found the same red le cruset pitcher yesterday at gw for 3.99!! I didn't know they made those either til I saw it.
My parents had the table wear pattern, of the baking dish you considered, when I was growing up in early 60’s. It’s not worth much unfortunately.
Stinking cute unicorn 🦄 mug.
I have a Turquoise Le Crucet that looks just like the orange/red pitcher you took. I just can't get it from under my bed.
There was a cool game/toy on the shelves in the beginning called Find It. (Light blue top and bottom with beads in it) sometimes I find them in with the niknaks and vases. Some can be worth money, but I was thinking more of your kids would probably like it.
The unicorn mug is FANTASTIC❣️😍🦄
The skater is a home interior’s piece I believe Jocelyn really love the red pitcher 🎄🎅🎄
Perfect end to a long day, another amazing video!
every time i hear you or anyone else say "Jim Shore" I Hear Gym Shorts!
The cookie jar sayd 'Bone appetit". In French we say 'Bon appétit' So I think it's for dog 'bone cookies'
That mirror is Home Co (Home Interiors and Gifts), I had one too.
