Tip for those who can't rememberthe color tag of the day. Whatever color The tag of the Day is, I grab an item of that color and stick it in my cart Even if it's a Cheap plastic cup. As long as it is an item I can glance at to remind me of the color
Hi Karen! As a proud cat lady and someone getting involved in animal rescue and TNVR (Trap Neuter Vaccinate Release,) I wouldn't be concerned about a little chip on a cat's ear. That just shows that someone cared for that fat cat! I used to sell on Ebay, and a disclosed chipped ear never interfered with a sale. Thanks for allowing me to thrift vicariously through you.
I'm a cat lover too & also other animals. I have a few feral cats I feed & make sure they're warm in the winter. I love to sit outdoors & just watch them & love in them. I'm in PA in Monroe county. I tried getting these cats neutered & vaccinated @ awesome here. It's too much money. Makes me sick, they're quick to tell you they don't accept stray cats, which isn't what I wanted, but they won't help someone who takes care of them & it's not cheap
@CretivityAj-nr3dg if you network with other freelance rescuers, they can probably inform you of low cost tnr programs in your area. You may have to go into another county, if they accept out of county cases. There's a lot out there, but takes work to find the resources.
You asked why people would donate odd numbers of glasses, etc. to Goodwill instead of even numbers. When someone breaks a glass, and they decide rather than trying to find a replacement for the broken one, they donate the partial set to charity so someone else can complete a set of theirs. It’s a symbiotic relationship. I have favorite glassware that I have had for many years. When I recently broke one 😢, I looked on EBay to complete my set and have a few extra. Not everyone is looking for complete sets of vintage glassware or dishes.
I have a similar 3 tier metal piece. I keep it in my coffee station & keep tea bags on the bottom & stevia packets on the smaller tiers. It looks really cute.
The handpainted porcelain with a lid might have been a Canister Set or Vanity Set. Would still work for tea bags, cotton balls, or just a pretty shelf decor.
KAREN I take a picture of the signs when i come into a store so i will have the sales on hand. Especially Salvation Army where they have a color at 1/2 price and a color at 99 cents! Just a suggestion!
🌷🌷🌷tired of hard goods oh dear .... i dont like to sell clothes here (The Netherland) i dont have te space to take pictures, God Bless you both! and you are an insperation
I'm on the "fence" about that porcelain jar that was called an evaporated milk holder. I've had those and they have a hole on bottom to push the can out. Stay safe in Florida.
At 18:12, that darling little 4-piece porcelain set, decorated in the Japanese moriage technique, is a perfect treasure! (BTW, "moriage" is correctly pronounced "mor ee ah' gay" or "mor ee ah' geh.")
I absolutely love the wood vase and that large bowl. Great finds. That basket is phenomenal. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen an evaporated milk container before, it’s lovely. Thanks for taking me along.
We're a family of three that rarely has visitors, so glasses and plates in 3's works fine for us, when I see a cheap deal for a pattern I like I grab 'em. Also those 3 tall Halloween glasses would look cool as tall background decor across a mantelpiece with other garlands and lights.
Another great video. We caught that little comment about looking at real estate. Makes sense to buy something as much as you visit, and to rent it out when you’re in Pennsylvania. Sign me up! I love the esthetic of your home, I’m sure a rental would be lovely as well. You both work so hard! You deserve it!
Hey Karen! Love the video as always. But I’m really here to say that I’m glad you’re not still in Bradenton! Since the video was uploaded yesterday, I was thinking at first that you were down there right now. I hope that Mellissa and Barry made it through hurricane Helene all right, and that they are safely preparing for Milton. I’m in North Carolina now, but until a couple of years ago, we lived in Palm Harbor, Florida, which is about 50 minutes above Bradenton if you go over that bridge that you see at the end of Anna Maria Island. Sending prayers.
How many people would want a sea lion / seal? You only need one person to want it 😊. I'm not into sea animals particularly bur he would look cool in any decir. So glad you grabbed him! The 268.00 painting was so good. I judge by how much I can feel myself actually being in the scenery. I really felt like I was walking along those tracks. So cool!
I love salad girl, all you need now is pasta boy! I made spinach stuffed shells for dinner, hoping you are safe from hurricane, mom & dad putting the shutters down again today. I think some false bottom pots are self watering planters.
The brass seal was a SCORE - beautifully done too, nice face. I love the little oval pieces you got at the end, those are antique (1910s-1920s). Glad you got out of Florida before the storm hit, sending good vibes down there from Australia 🙏❤
I 💖 yr videos. U have been my inspiration 2 keep on thrifting. Then all the good source of info U really R great. Thank U 4 all yr videos!!! Now we have a new GW in Motgomey 2 go 2 next X we R in PA. Thank U both 🎉
At my GW...they remove most of the sale color off the floor... except clothing...but purses, hard goods, linens, pillows, big coats ..You can find maybe 5 things with the on sale color items and they're not worth buying!!!.. I wished we had a goodwill bins store...I Cookeville, TN 🤷
Cookeville Goodwill was such a let down for me. I only glanced at a couple of clothing items, saw the prices and wanted to leave. One was a no name cheap women's thin material vest for $10 😢 womp womp
If there are three glasses for sale I pick them up. My husband always seems to break one of them. LOL! Karen, Have a wonderful trip in Florida with your Daughter.
I need that Salad Girl painting! I am the salad girl, not u! lol. I hope u have a safe trip to FL please be careful and much guidance and protection to your family down there during this storm
I'm with you Karen...I NEVER buy anything that needs dusting. I guess I am a minimalist, I do not have ornaments or any kind of decor. I only keep things that are of use to me! Oh and the little salt and pepper witht the little dish in the middle is for mustard not sugar!!
I don't mind odd number of Glassware, Dishes or Cup and Saucers. ❤ I like some of Homer Laughlin China. Those soap dishes could always be used for another purpose.
Where did you see them selling for $500? I looked on eBay & don’t see them selling for near that much, so I’m curious as to where you’re finding your comps? Thanks!
Hi! Have you considered taking a quick photo of your booth after you have restocked. You could then use the photo to reference what has sold on your next visit.
Hi Karen were in the Tampa area and thought about your daughter here in Florida. I hope she is ok. It’s rough down here. No power or gas. Im watching your videos with electricity through the generator to pass the time. 😂❤
Seals, at least the common harbor seals we have in the Pac Nor West are relatively small (about 200-300 pounds) and hang around on the piers, floats and harbor buoys. Sea Lions are easily twice as big (600 to 800 pounds), so they are about the size of a cow. Once in the water, the Sea Lions move smoothly like the seals, but their bulk makes them more awkward when out on the shore rocks. The Sea Lions like to sun themselves out on the shore rocks, in our area, rather then inside the harbor on the floats and buoys. A large colony of Sea Lions is loud and impressive. 😉
Karen the two Drops are the Mark for a turkish Company Name Paşabahçe. They have 2$ Glasses up to 40$ Glasses a piece. For example they have the serias ,,Nude Ghost Zero, two piece set for 80$. That Glass what you had, is round about 12$ a piece.
Hi Karen, that big basket is not a Wall hanginig. Sure you can Hang it on a Wall. It is the top of a table for your terrace. I have the same, i wish i can Upload a pic here in the comments.
People with coastal homes will love that brass seal!

Great idea!

@@CretivityAj-nr3dg I know some of the Pennsylvania SPCA's do the free neutering. They even offer the catch cage in one area. Good luck!
Other TH-cam folks that have booths take pictures before they leave each time and that way they know what has sold when they come back. Makes sense.
🤣 I love Salad Girl! Your whole cart really was fantastic!
I was happy to see that you set up the mascot Rabbit!. You could put seasonal hats on him to change up the look from time to time!
Yes, a Santa hat would look great!
Yay! That's my Goodwill! Glad to see you back again!!
Oh my goodness! That wooden bowl is gorgeous! ❤
I love having tissue boxes around my house, especially in the winter. I love having the tissue box covers to hide the cardboard!
I take them out and put them in rose bowls

So glad you’re already vacating Florida. I have family there in every part of the state. Worried about all of them ❤
It was a planned trip and knew I would leave days before it hit 💜
I have a similar 3 tier metal piece. I keep it in my coffee station & keep tea bags on the bottom & stevia packets on the smaller tiers. It looks really cute.

That wall basket tray would be great on top of a round ottoman or table in the living or family room. Fun shopping trip, Karen! Happy week to you!
I don't know the difference between a seal or a sea lion either, my friend, lol! But that was a lot of fun. Thank you!❤
You picked a great week to go to Florida. Most of the state will have waterfront property this week (Milton) 😂

About the huge wall basket, I think it’s to put on top of a round ottoman that acts as a coffee table.
I wish to have a booth one day! I’m praying!

Was that a red Pyrex bowl near the beginning of your video ?
It was very scratched
Florida has pretty scary bugs
