Aaah, sunday morning! Absolutely a winner now that there's a tradition for CafeRacerGarage with my coffee! "Wax on, wax off" Maybe you should name the bike "Karate kid"? :-) Yay, make that high I beam film! Always nice to watch someone working! When that said, you really come up with some wellthought solutions. Things most of us can make in our own garages. No hokus pokus, only logic and an eye for details. Well done!
John Mård thank you John and yes my full name is Daniel so maybe karate kid is a good name 😂 LOL. I try and post video at 12ish midday Sunday every week, I have a lot of integrity what I say I will do something 😮 👍 I tried to do more videos but right now I just can’t comment to it so I will work my way up to it slowly and hopefully eventually get there. I’m grateful part of your tradition or ritual in the morning is watching my videos 👍
@@CafeRacerGarage See Daniel, spot on! :-) Mr Miyagi for the 750cc? Well Dan, if you ask me, stick to the sunday edition. No need to burn the candle in both ends. Your sunday midday (6 hours before my breakfast!) upload is all I ask for! Take care!
Hell yeh man. Your best firbeglass effort yet. Showing this process will save people a shit load of dosh..for those willing to put time and effort in. Good on ya
Yes please for the ibeam video. Also, really like the reverse welding shot where is shows the heat penetration down the weld. Great video as always and nice work with the putting the welding gear on to the music.
Adam Howard Thank you for noticing the small stuff man, not many people comment on the small stuff so It’s awesome to get at least one 😊👍 Getting creative is fun and even more fun what it’s noticed by others. Glad you enjoyed the video brother have an awesome day
These videos and projects are awesome man, I definitely look forward to see them each time especially being younger and wanting to build my own Cafe racer it's definitely great to see the process as you go through. Definitely a yes to seeing the beam project for the hoist
Thank you, brother, I'm glad you are enjoying them and thank you for the kind words, I'm inspired a lot from comments like this to make more videos so keep them coming :)
As always good video. On that wooden arm I would have used an inner tube fron a bicycle or somthing similar. Would give you the grip without the grind.
Love ya work Dan. Yes I'd definitely be interested to see how you set up a beam and hoist in your garage. I've been thinking about doing that too so very curious to see how you set that up.
love the vids all the way from the uk! just wish they were longer :) but I know how long it takes for 10 min vid to film and edit etc and yes love to see hoist install.
jodyloki I know Exactly what you mean, when I’m watching something and really enjoying it and it suddenly ends I get a little bit upset too, having said that, my average view time is about five minutes so if I make videos longer than that the attention span of most people doesn’t exceed longer than five minutes, Makes much more sense for me to make shorter videos that people will watch rather than long ones that get less views if you know what I mean. I’m glad you are enjoying my videos. be sure to check out these other channels Jish, Chief Pep, Classic Octane, Another Cafe Racer Build, Combustion Junction and Tulsa Moto Club, let them know I sent you 👍
Why no gel coat? Would give you something to work with on the profiles if you wanted. Also try flash tape over you split join, will leave little indent but will be rubbed down and painted yet so shouldn’t be issue and a lot quicker.
Cornish_ Boy im definitely still learning and yes those two ideas are awesome thank you 😊 Due to the thickness of the fibreglass Im unable to use this part on the bike so I will need to make another one, need to make it slightly wider and what I’m thinking of doing is putting a spacer between the two mould sections cut to the same shape on the inside, the spacer can be HDPE and I can still run some flash tape over it like you said. Does flash tape have another name as I’m not sure exactly what it is?
How much wider do you need it? Flash tape is like sellotape but blue and thinner. We use it to over any scratches in the moulds. We’d use some wax/plasticine in joins normally but the tape is quicker.
Yeah ..lol..damn you busy in this video . Just a curious .with all that fibre glass dust floating around i see you wear gloves and the full face respirator but shorts as well lol dont you itch a little bit ..lol. Great video as always Dan
Gary Yorke hi Gary it’s the hottest time of the year for us and I have the fan on when ever I’m not filming myself talking so I guess the glass gets blown outside mostly, never got itchy from the dust but I do have a short shower when I come inside the house before sitting down to relax 😊👍
Gerard Tyrrell haha 😂 good pick up on that one Gerard, I noticed what I said in editing this video and wondered if anyone would comment on that. Haha 😂 good work hope you enjoyed the video mate 👍
