another trick to seeing the shape through the paper is turning off all the lights. when your cell phone is the brightest light source, it won't have to compete with light that is reflecting off the top of the paper from other light sources in the room.
Watching this in 2020 and around 3 minutes he talks about how it's ok if the stencil outline isn't perfect but he does it exactly perfect XD Good stuff will give this custom a shot in Quarantine!

Have you had good experience with TCP global airbrush kits, which are $139 and far less than the $400 Grex? It got decent reviews on amazon and I'm not going doing heavy usage. Just periodic projects, maybe use it 3-6 times a year. Grex seems to be an excellent brand but not sure if I should spend $400 for limited use. Worth it?

Which brand of vinyl do you use and what settings do you use on the Cameo? I was using Oramask 810 stencil vinyl and I found that it was not really sticky enough and I also had a very hard time weeding my design. I cut it using Blade:1 Speed:5 and Thickness:10.
If the fabric is white then yes you can use some water. We usually show 2-soft because it will work on any colors as well while keeping the product nice and soft after heat set.

It may hold up okay but ultimately it may be something you will need to experiment with. You may need to do some light sanding, add a couple of coats of adhesion promoter along with light coats of paint and 2-Hard.
There could be a couple of different reasons for that. Either the stencil is not sticking properly or you could be using too much paint. Make sure to apply very light layers. After each coat, make sure it is fully dry to the touch and repeat the process until you get full coverage. Are you referring to the stencil vinyl? You would want to get some 651 Oracle vinyl. It works best.

If you're air brushing you can go to Sam Flax and get the Jacquard air brush paint..they have a decent amount of colors but not as many as Angelus
