I have some orders for cleats and basketball shoes with synthetic uppers. If I use adhesion promoter and prep correctly will there be any durability concerns? Worried to take on orders if I'm not confident in the durability.

Have you had good experience with TCP global airbrush kits, which are $139 and far less than the $400 Grex? It got decent reviews on amazon and I'm not going doing heavy usage. Just periodic projects, maybe use it 3-6 times a year. Grex seems to be an excellent brand but not sure if I should spend $400 for limited use. Worth it?
Sorry we don't have any experience with TCP however based on your usage and the reviews on it, it seems like it may be a good choice for you. We suggest doing as much research as you can and do what feels right. Hope it works out for you.

No it is not required. For real leather, the only absolute, required step is to remove the factory finish by using acetone or our Leather Preparer and Deglazer.

It may hold up okay but ultimately it may be something you will need to experiment with. You may need to do some light sanding, add a couple of coats of adhesion promoter along with light coats of paint and 2-Hard.
If the fabric is white then yes you can use some water. We usually show 2-soft because it will work on any colors as well while keeping the product nice and soft after heat set.
There could be a couple of different reasons for that. Either the stencil is not sticking properly or you could be using too much paint. Make sure to apply very light layers. After each coat, make sure it is fully dry to the touch and repeat the process until you get full coverage. @@tresspassah No adhesion is added when working with leather. However, you can lightly sand it if you want. Again, just make sure you prep well, apply light layers and dry times are done properly.
Finisher is optional. Even though finisher may help to protect from minor scratches and scrapes, it is not the be all/end all for allowing the paint to stay. It's primary use is to add a sheen to the project

Are you referring to the stencil vinyl? You would want to get some 651 Oracle vinyl. It works best.

If you're air brushing you can go to Sam Flax and get the Jacquard air brush paint..they have a decent amount of colors but not as many as Angelus
