Thank you man ..I have 5 year's of DYI experience but you helped me a lot ..I recommend you to all of my friends when they ask me to some DIY tips.. but every time I must tell them what they need to use...because in central Europe are other names of dings and this type of shit...you know what I mean
Love your videos- inspires me to get to work on some new projects or continue ongoing ones. What band/bands are the video clips in the background from? Up the punks!
Do you think i can put the freezer paper in my printer to print on ?? I was thinking best way to hold it together so it doesn't crumpled up going threw printer is to tape the corners down to printer paper
What exactly is Angelus paint made out of? Normal acrylic with what added? It would be interesting to find out. And why is their leather sealer better? there is possibly a cheaper alternative for a bigger amount for leather making or saddle maintenance type shit.
From my understanding Angelus is just high grade acrylic paint made for leather, I'm not sure what exactly they add to it. Tbh up until recently I've only used regular acrylic paint for this kind of work and it is exceptionally cheaper. For saddle work you could definitely look into leather dye if the leather you are working with is raw.
When I break in leather I just wear it as much as possible, even if you are not doing anything but hanging out, put it on and wear it until it breaks in.
Do you have any tips when it comes to apply logos with very intricate details on your leather jacket ? Because cutting every details out of the stencil is quite difficult tho !
It will take a lot of patience and time cutting everything out and applying the inserts with the iron. Or you could just do a basic stencil and free hand draw all the details afterwards. I know with extremely detailed pieces some punks will make a screen printing frame and just screen print their logos onto to their leather jackets.
@@captainfach so acrylic paint does a better job at staying on a mailable material like leather than other paint does. That being said over the years the acrylic paint pen will fade and need to be touched up and repainted depending on how much wear you put on your jacket. You can prolong the life of your logos by applying a layer of clear coat. 🦖
@ ive seen that too. Ive tried just thick plastic and paper to trace under, Then used spray adhesive on the plastic before putting on the shirt. I was able to reuse it but the spray glue got messy. Maybe a washable glue stick. I donno…lol cool stuff you make. :)

Fake leather is just as bad for the environment as real leather which is as I understand a byproduct of the meat industry plus vegan leather is just as expensive but way less durable. Buying fake leather really doesn't help anyone
Yup that is true, one reason why I wear second hand leather. I just always get questions about vegan leather jackets so I thought I'd include some options in the video.
@@lordoftheeggs5298 punks typically achieve the "slim" cut style leather jacket by ordering a size or two below your standard size, ie if your 44 try on a 42 or even a 40. Way more plausible than taking one into a tailor. I have cinched in the sides of a few leather jackets to make them fit better but that only makes the sides tighter, the shoulders and sleeves stay the same size

Any tips for breaking in faux leather vests so they don’t look super boxy ?
When I break in leather I just wear it as much as possible, even if you are not doing anything but hanging out, put it on and wear it until it breaks in.
Great video! One question, did that circle come off the Destroy logo?
You mean the letter insert? Yes they all did

What can i use as a real alternative for Freezer paper?
So other people use A4 Label paper with an adhesive backing, it apparently works better than freezer paper on leather
🦖🦖🦖
@@reptil_diy yeah i can see that working thanks!
No “freezer” paper in my part of canada. :(
I've been told A4 printer label paper with adhesive backing works great for stencils on leather, I would not recommend it on fabric

You recommend Any particular places online to get second hand leather?
Etsy or eBay. Personally I just get mine at thrift stores and pawn shops
