Belt is so critical, but yes it gets deep. People who have carried for 10years can now give their opinion through the internet. Belts are such a important tool. Body shape/size l, the clip on your holster, weight of gun, weapon light, etc. It all comes into olay
I have worn a Nexbelt for the last 2-3 years. It eventually started to fray, and twist. The ratcheting mechanism gets bound up. I picked up a Kore yesterday and can already tell it is an upgrade. The operation of the ratcheting mechanism is night and day better on the Kore, and the rigidity, plus extra stitching is a recipe for success. Very happy with my purchase!
Good job reviewing these. I have had my Kore Essentials nylon tactical gun belt for a few years now and absolutely love it. I have found nothing else better on the market.
I've been watching Hegshot for a couple years and I know he always recommends these Kore essentials belts. Glad I listened and finally ordered one. Works perfectly and wears very comfortably. Truly a great EDC belt.
Hegshot just received my new Kore Western edc belt and I couldn't be more satisfied. I can't believe how much more comfortable it is to carry a full size 1911. No sag at all. Extremely happy with this belt. My search for the perfect carry belt is over. KORE has my vote. As a matter of fact I was so happy with my Kore belt that I was showing it off to a friend, he has just received his new Kore edc western gun belt. thanks again for such a great product.
I prefer the Nexbelt. The release leaver is a bit harder to find and actuate in comparison to the Kore, especially if your used to the Kore, but after getting used to the Nexbelt I actually prefer it that way. I think the streamlined buckle and tapered belt end design makes it way easier to put on and work even better with appendix rigs. Another plus for the lower profile release lever with appendix carry too. No need to slide the buckle to one side or the other, but if you did, the streamlined design helps slide it through the belt loops. I love both belts and will never go back to a traditional belt, even if I wasn’t carrying, but I personally think Nexbelt is better and offers more designs. Only reason I’d buy another Kore is if I wanted one of their designs that Nexbelt didn’t offer. Great video 👍🏻
Watching TH-cam, I came across a lot of videos like this one that talked about these KORE Belts So I decided to give them a try. These Belts are GREAT! I bought the X5 Tactical OD Green With added FDE Belt, then order the X7 Belt and now just ordered the USMC Buckle with Leather Belt. Great Product THX
Bought two Kore ratchet belts on a whim and man I don’t know what took me so long. These hold up full size load outs with pistols and extended mags with no sag. The inside is a rubberized texture which holds up well and has some nice grip. The ratchet mechanism is great for changing belt tightness while working to ensure there is not printing, adjusting to movement, sitting, etc. Everything seems robust so far and far exceeds the performance of my other gun belts. For IWB carry I would say its essential. Glad I made the change. Other belts are good, but Kore ups the ante.
@@sg7914 I offset the buckle one belt loop so that it is over my left pocket. I am able to do this and using various holsters can carry anything from a MR920/G19 to hellcat/G43 wearing at shirt without any significant printing.

LEAVE MY BEAUTIFUL STATE AND COUNTRY!!! Now… I have worn NEXBELTS EVERY SINGLE DAY OF MY LIFE FOR THE PAST 3yrs!!! I have (4) TITAN XL’s and (2) leather dress belts! I LOVE HOW STIFF THEY ARE AND THE ADJUSTABILITY THEY GIVE! I have NO complaints! The first one I bought… I think I BROKE the belt! Lol. Yes actually BROKE the belt itself! That belt got abused for 3yrs… I think it earned its stripes! With my 3yrs of EVERYDAY use? It’s earned my continued business!
I purchased both nexbelt and kore belt in Jan. I have been swapping them out as my daily carry to get a feel for each. The best way I can compare them is to say that nexbelt does NOT come with a belt keeper to prevent the tip from sticking out because it doesn't need it. The kore belt needs a belt keeper because it is stiffer and from what I can tell a little better constructed. Also on occasion the buckel on my nexbelt sticks or is hard to move the belt thru it. Kore glides thru very easy and locks solid. It feels more satisfying. Having said that, the nexbelt is not bad but I would say not as good as the kore belt from my observations. Maybe bevcause kore has been making them longer.
This is helpful because i have had 2 kore belts for 3 years now and was looking for one with a little less stiffness for AIWB carry. Any updates ? Are you still happy with the Nextbelt ? Thank you

I have a nexbelt and it has a different button to press to tighten to loosen than the one you showed in the video. Very easy to adjust and hasn’t gotten stuck. I carry mine for edc and also use it when I compete in IDPA. I do wish it also had a clamp because the buckle is held by three torx screws and only that.
I can attest Kore belts are awesome. I’ve since thrown all my other belts out and am strictly using these. Currently am using the Tactical belt and recently ordered black and brown leather belts. They are perfect for everyday carry. Super rigid and strong enough to hold up whatever you need to carry. But I also really enjoy the fact that there’s no holes. The ratcheting system is a genius idea and I wish I had found Kore a lot sooner. I can easily adjust the belt depending on what I’m carrying, when driving, etc. I’ve been really happy with these.
I'd like to sugar coat this but I got to be honest I got a nexsbelt like 2 years ago and it was done after about 6 months of daily service. To be blunt the darn buckle busted apart at the release and at same time belt was kinked and I believe broke in several spots making carry all but impossible. I was done with these kinds of belts til my friend and fa instructor gave me a kore for my 40th birthday and man what a difference. Best gift ever. So here I am over a year later and its still my favorite belt. Easy to adjust and release with more support than I need and very comfortable. I shoulda listened to Heg from the start, god knows I been watching him long enough.
I've been using Kore EDC tactical belts for over a year and now I don't wear any other belts. I use it when I carry and when I don't. These belts are very reliable and comfortable. I love the buckles and the designs. My wife was looking for a birthday gift and I asked her that if she wanted to buy me something I can use on a daily basis, to get me a Kore tactical belt.
It may be sticking because of pressure. Try pushing in on the belt a bit before you sweep the lever. It doesn't solve the tiny lever problem but I personally like that over the core.
Had my Kore belt for over 5 years since order date. Buckle works exactly the way it did Day 1. The finish wears off the buckle but has a neat and unique battle worn look. The belt finally snapped/creased just recently. Even then, still functions like the same day 1 belt when worn and carrying. I considered trying Nexbelt but with 5 years of using the Kore I have and other people already running into flaws earlier with the Nexbelt, I just ordered 2 more from Kore as a bundle deal with the labor day sale on top. I do hope Nexbelt will either lower their price and or change their engineering/quality. Awesome review Hegshot!
Sorry you had an issue. Just over 3 years ago we switched all of our gun belts over to our newer proprietary, Reinforced Power-Core center that gives the belt plenty of support and it's VIRTUALLY UNBREAKABLE. Since that time, we've never had even 1 belt break, snap or crease. Thanks for your support. We also offer our new micro adjustable Battle Belts, Competition Belts and more.
Kore is the most sturdy belt I’ve owned. I’ve tried most of the other popular edc belts, including that other micro-adjustment brand, but Kore provides the most stable platform for drawing from concealment I’ve ever experienced. Great belt.
Yeah Heg is correct Kore does aactuallymake a spectacular belt that changes your cc. Out of all my edc gear the kore belt is the only component that I am 100% satisfied with.
Hegshot I have also been running Kore Essential belts for many years too. Got my first in 2017 and now have 4 and love them. I just purchase their multicam black after seeing this video at my local FFL and its awesome!! Super sick. They had a ton of custom engraved buckles and 1.75" range models even battle belt. Very cool thanks!
Yeah I think I like the Essentials belt, the spring, color, look. Reminds me of why I wear Nikes 1995 Air Max Essentials (black on black color) because of how they feel like a military style boot/shoe but also kinda GreyManish. Easy to blend in but also great work shoes if need be.
Owned and use both of these brands and for my dime kore edges out nextbelt in that they are stiffer and seem to be holding up better and if geek on milspec multi-camo gear like I do kore has that.
Kore is by far the best EDC belt on the planet. No one comes close to a perfect belt. The large adjustment lever makes adjustments on the fly super easy with no efforts at all.
I own three Kore leather gun belts and now one Nexbelt Titan. The Kore belt buckles have rough edges on mine, and catch on clothes. The leather is also very cracked and worn on my older leather belt. I don't expect such wear with the nylon belts. I agree about the Nexbelt being more difficult to activate the latch. I gotten used to it, it's my casual carry belt now. It feels sturdier than my Kore gun belt.
I have an older version of the Kore. The metal buckle is boxy with sharp corners. As I've gotten older and developed what John at Active Self Protection calls a "tactical muffin top", it has become quite uncomfortable. I recently switched to the newer, powder-coated buckle seen in this video. The edges are rounded and it has a lower profile. It is much more comfortable. BTW, the leather on mine is still good. It has nicks and dings (etc.) but is still decent. There are lots of things that can wear on leather. Humidity and other conditions can matter in the long term. Leather can also benefit from maintenance.
Kore gun belts have our proprietary Power-Core center that's stronger than steel, but flexible for comfort. It's Unbreakable. Nexbelt uses a rubber core. We make ours available in 1.5", 1.75" and battle belts (coming soon). Kore is the leader and first to design reinforced ratchet belts for firearms. Thanks
I just starting carrying concealed about a month ago. Well i purchased a groove belt before I started carrying and quickly discovered, that the groove belt, although a great belt, doesn't not work well for carrying. I find myself doing a lot of tugging and readjusting of my pants due to them falling down lol not to mention, the belt starts to loosen throughout the day. So I'm leaning more towards getting a kore essentials edc belt
My nexbelt is a pain in the ass to adjust. I have gotten stuck tightening instead of loosening it on multiple occasions. Probably going to try the Kore sometime soon.
I picked up one fo the Groove belts and as a warning it completely SUCKS for any edc. It is a stretchy elastic like belt that did NOT support my glock 19 outside at 3 clock position. That was my experience. I will have to try this core belt.
I've had the Kore for 2 years now and it's the best so far. Throw away the cobra buckles, they suck. I work construction and the cobra buckles will disengage if you lean forward and they also break after heavy use. The Kore hasn't done this and it also looks and feels pretty much new. This is a very stiff belt so if you want something form fitting get something else.
I have 2 Kore Essential belts, 3 Aegis Ares belts, 2 groove belts, and a new Blue Alpha belt. I seem to reach for the Ares Aegis belts for ease of infinite adjustments, ease of threading through loops. I just place the buckle to my left side for my awib Tier 1 Axis Elite holster. I feel the Kore Essential is a little too thick with the plastic track system plus I don’t really like using the lever to adjust.
Guys these Kore belts are absolutely outstanding and live up to all the amazing reviews and more. It is hard for me to explain how happy I am with this belt. I bought the black tactical belt with the X1 buckle. I choose black and the X1 because it is the most inconspicuous of the colors of the tactical belts. When you have it on with a tucked in shirt and an open coat on, it looks like a designer belt where as the grey and tan kind of scream "I am carrying a gun" so if you are buying it for concealed carry I recommend the black and X1 buckle but I love it so much that I am sure I will be buying multiple more belts from them. I needed a good CCW belt to carry my full-size HK USP and mag pouches with my alien gear IWB holster. Let me tell you, the holster and gun do not move from their position and the belt makes the whole setup extremely comfortable even with a full-size firearm. When I tried it with my ruger lcp it makes it so you do not even notice the gun there at all. I will be using this belt not only for my EDC, regardless of the handgun I am carrying and for anytime I need a belt. I might grab some of their dress belts now that I see the exceptional quality and attention to detail that this belt is made with. One of my favorite things about it is the tracks. The belt will fit EXACTLY how you need it to and if you need to sit down and want to loosen it a bit you can do it without anyone even noticing and it will just look like you are adjusting your pants. This belt is flawless.
True in my exp a good solid comfortable gun belt can make you want to carry more often. It did for me. Originally got a black nylon nexbelt but honestly it lacked support. I can easily crush my nexbelt down and my holster with 1911 rolled over. Not good. My kore is definitely stiffer and will not roll. I also felt the kore was more comfortable in the way it flexes differently to hug better. I get all the support needed and more comfy. Thats my 2 cents.
If you’re buying a belt for a 64 inch waist line you’ve got much more things to worry about then being assaulted by someone in order to carry a firearm on that belt.
@@montanaplease I said theirs go up 64”. You cut it to size. Not that it’s any of your business since you’re clearly a disrespectful person, but I have mine cut to 53” so it’s comfortable with a firearm and still has enough extra to make it to the belt loop on the opposite side. The only thing you seem to need to worry about is your attitude. Thanks though.
I've used a leather Kore gun belt for years. It has held up wonderfully. I recently upgraded to the buckle seen here and it is more comfortable than the older, boxier metal style. BTW, the ad before this video was for a stretchy elastic gun belt that looked terrible. =P
I heard the Kore belt was stiffer.. I have a Kore and am looking at a Nexbelt as I thoight it might be a little more flexible but now I guess I’ll just stick with the Kore.
1 year warranty except nexbelt doesn’t respond or honor it. My nexbelt completely fell apart in 8 months the the core fell apart and the belt ripped where I carry my gun. Just bought a kore hoping it last a little longer
For daily carry I use the Kore belts too. I consistently recommend them to students in our firearms training & safety classes. It has the right amount of stiffness and students learn the value of a serious gun belt thats hightly adjustable. i did havea student with the nexsbelt but they had issues with it kinking and releasing and they did end up changing to kore and said it was better. If that helps.
These look like they would fulfill dressing up better. The Wilderness Tactical Instructor belt holds up much better however and you can use it to rappel, lol. Out of these two, I have found the Kore to have better nylon and be the more durable of the two.
Great review! It helps to see these side by side before making a purchase. Do you have an updated code for Kore Essentials? The current one is no longer active. Thanks!
I could have used the 10% off as a new customer or used promo code Hegshot87. I used Hegshot87 since I watch tons of your videos and you're cool. (And it's 10% not $10 off...) I'll use it again with future purchases. Oh and BTW, I finally pulled the trigger and bought a Shield Plus PC 4"! :D Buyers remorse is setting-in since the new awesome looking ones have come out recently, so... But I finally pulled the trigger and I'm happy about that! :D. Cant wait for my belt to come in!
I’m on my second next belt and love them but after about a year for some reason the back of the belt in the same place the inner material breaks in half.
First i appreciate your review and agree that everything is personal preference, that being said.... i have owned and use both belts (for my preference) going to dinner or casual type situations i use the Kore because as you stated it has a little more flexibility and dressier in basic colors, and use my Nexbelt as my go to EDC. Now IMHO the Kore having a spring mechanism can wear out over time , whereas the Nexbelt which utilizes a magnet is very unlikely to wear out but if it did, it woyld take a much longer time. IMO the bottom line is ..... just as one must train and get used to their (pew pew) it only take a small fraction of time to used and become comfortable the it's latch.
We were the first to create a reinforced ratchet belt over 8 years ago. And over those years we don't get buckles returned because of the springs wearing out. Its a torsion spring, design to last decades. We also carry ratcheting range belts, ratcheting battle belts and other versions all popular with law enforcement, military and ccw folks. Thanks.
Only bitch I have on my Kore belt witch i love, is the leading end of belt is square. and makes it hard to loop thru belt loops..Why not round it of some???
Heg last month traded in hunter constant belt in for kore belt in chocolate frigin chip and way better made belt and you can owb cc if you want other belt no go
Never had a problem with the NexBelt Supreme. Ordered the Kore and it was just too stiff for me. The NexBelt is plenty sturdy while being more comfortable. If I run into problems with the buckle, I’m going with a steel reinforced Relentless belt.
Are the band sections Interchangeable with both belt buckles? I’ve had a Korbel for about a year and a half now and I am pretty hard on it carrying pretty heavy and rough things that are constantly rubbing on it and there is wear on the band section of it but I doubt any belt out there would look any better than mine does right now with that kind of abuse.
Heg we had to discontinue Nexbelt sales last summer. To be frank we had too many returns and breakages mostly with buckles. On a recommendation we started carrying Kore belts in teh shop last Nov. No issues so far and customers come back to buy more. It's proven to be a better belt all around for us. ANd I have to say that Nexbelt camo is awful. Multicam is far better.

@@Koreessentialsbrand Why don't you manufacture your belts 100% in USA? I thought that was the case. I was disappointed to see "Made in China" stamped on the inner side of my X5 belt. I still like the belt, much like all the crap I buy at Harbor Freight...lol.
I bought one of their made in USA belts back in Dec and its even nicer than there other belts (own 3 so far). It was $20 extra but I would assume anything made in the USA would be more expensive. The webbing seems to be a tighter pattern. All in all these guys def make the best belts for daily cc.

Thanks
@@Koreessentialsbrand That's great, but it doesn't change the fact that belt buckle cuts into my shirt and the leather cracks.
@@chad_8313 how cracked is the leather? Can I be salvaged somehow?
@@chronovore3726 wanna donate the old Kore belt that has sharp corners? ☺️ 55 bucks for one is alot for me right now.
I think I just found my new gun belt I’m have check these out right now. Thanks buddy
Team Nexbelt !
I have both. Kore belt is a monster. The buckle system is robust and superior.
Kore absolutely makes the best EDC belt I've owned so far...beating out WTP, Nexbelt, and many others.
Great review of both belts but I'm not convinced on the magnet being for me just yet.
Is it just me or does some of these comments feel like kore paid for them?
Kore was banned in a certain subreddit due to something similar.
I feel the Kore Essential is a little too thick with the plastic track system plus I don’t really like using the lever to adjust.
thanks man, your code still working, i just use it, i got me a kore, thanks brooooooooo
Both have 1 year warranty only. I on 2nd next belt and 2 of the ratchet clips have broken. Super comfy but not confident in longevity of either
My next belt center core snapped and broke in 5 or 6 spots and makes it hard to use now and it was expensive.
Good Comparison - Thanks. Oh - Link to Kore Review in the Description Not Working.
My tactical supreme Nextbelt broke apart after a few range days. I should have bought the Kore range or the Kore battle belt.
Nexbelt actually offers an xl version as well that goes up to like 64” waist
Kore Essentials offers an Extended XL Tactical Black belt that fits up to 72" waists. Thanks.
@@Koreessentialsbrand Nice. I will have to take a look at it. Thanks!
Justin, I did not mean to disrespect anyone.
I've used a leather Kore gun belt for years. It has held up wonderfully. I recently upgraded to the buckle seen here and it is more comfortable than the older, boxier metal style. BTW, the ad before this video was for a stretchy elastic gun belt that looked terrible. =P
I just ordered a x7 Kore belt. I almost went with Relentless Tactical because of their lifetime warranty though.
My black supreme Nexbelt is toast. THe buckle exploded and so I went back to my Blue Alpha which is not as adjustable but better made.
I've had a few nexbelt, they last me a year, they frey and the plastic inside breaks in the back
Nextbelt failed me in no time it frayed to the point I could not use
If you carry full size owb like myself Kore Essential range belt in 1.75 width for CCW its a beas
my NextBelt fell apart after 2 years
For daily carry I use the Kore belts too.
My $20 Jukmo rachet belt is amazing. I prefer the simple web lock design over the track lock design on these expensive belts.
Kore is King in this world for certain.
Hegshot is right on with kore. Did some time with nextbelt and not as good as my kore.
Forgive me I know this is an older video but I do have a question. Does the next belt buckle fit through standard pants belt loops?
Kore is the only way to go folks
NEW SUBSCRIBER
how does the kore leather belts hold up. Do they scratch up easy????
Is the next belt less stiffer than the kore? I have the kore and it's way too stiff for my liking. My basket weave kore belt is softer. I like it
Has anyone ever carried IWB with the gun and holster in between their belt and their pants rather than tucked in your pants?
Thank you for this wonderful video. Stay blessed always. 🙂👌👍🙏
Thanks.
@@Koreessentialsbrand I was not bad mouthing your product, i just gave an opinion... as i stated i have and use both belts.
Gotta go with multi cam black looks too sick. That other cam is not one ever recognize.
WTF camo is that on the nexsbelt?? I would def do multicam kore belt for sure.
Weird. I found my next belt to glide better then my 2 kore belts
Same here.
Have you had issues with the buckle release at any point with the Kore?
Do they sound a bit plastic-like when you zip them? Comes across that way. I like the spring-loaded belt for looks and ease.
If you hold the release tab up while you adjust the belt - you can't hear a thing.
What’s the name of your shop?

@@Koreessentialsbrand can I know the employees name I'm talking to? would like to send you some screenshots I have of repeating comments?
@@Koreessentialsbrand Why don't you manufacture your belts 100% in USA? I thought that was the case. I was disappointed to see "Made in China" stamped on the inner side of my X5 belt. I still like the belt, much like all the crap I buy at Harbor Freight...lol.
I bought one of their made in USA belts back in Dec and its even nicer than there other belts (own 3 so far). It was $20 extra but I would assume anything made in the USA would be more expensive. The webbing seems to be a tighter pattern. All in all these guys def make the best belts for daily cc.
