I just received my gun metal and Olive colored one. As a retired Federal Law Enforcement and current investigator I can 100% relate as I too have a bunch of tactical belts! But since being retired I have acquired a nice “Beer tumor” and now I don’t have the problem of the belt digging into my Beer tumor. The Groove Belt is stiff enough for my tac gear but flexible enough to be comfortable. “GL” on the buckle really stands for “Gun Life”….lol…Great Video!

Groove is a solid company. Wife bought me a few of their rings and one was a little small. We travelled down a half hour from Brentwood to do the exchange at their facility, and old high school. Everyone that worked their was very cool. Got a little tour from the Production Manager as well. Overall a really good group of folks👍

as soon as i watch this video, i ordered 2 belts, a black and a brown. three days later received it and my first impression, WOW! look very sleek, comfortable and the buckles are very stylish. the magnets is such an awesome tool, my favorite part. gonna test it out tomorrow but i can already tell its going to be the best belt i got besides the blue alphas. i love the blue alphas which is my work belt but the GL's after putting it on feels more comfortable and EDC ish. i'm getting rid of my other belts, except the BA, this one is it. thanks Mike for your solid videos.

I bought a Kore belt and I really like it, but being a bigger dude the inside of the Kore pinched my stomach when I sat down. If they rounded some corners and slimmed down the actual ratchet mechanism it would be much more comfortable. I’m digging the design of the groove life belt. It looks way more comfortable.
Tater I know this may sound weird but ride the buckle off to the side as it if you were carrying appendix and it may be a lot more comfortable.

Saw an ad for this belt, decided to check your video out cause I’ve been using a 5.11 double duty for almost 5 years and want to see if it was worth changing up. Looks less rigid than the Kore ratchet belt I had that dig into my sides. I like a ccw belt that I can wear casually with or without a gun and this is perfect for that. I’ll be getting one of the wood buckle models
Its great for light carry like a 43x anything more than that its a little thin but I still wear it all the time so damn comfortable .
I just ordered my 2nd Kore belt. The ratcheting buckle is well made. Much better than the generics I've ordered from Amazon which would occasionally lose their bite on the belt and have to be reset. The leather Kore uses is unimpressive though. After 1.5yrs it is beginning to separate in some places.
KORE is a pretty solid betl I have a few of them but don't wear them every day. This one is pretty much use every day in summer
I've carried my M&P duty pistol off a Trayvax belt for almost 4 years now.
Trayvax makes good stuff too.

I've tried this belt simply just for work, and while I do love the buckle style 100%, I found there was an issue with the belt loosening over time. It does not stay in place like they advertise, you almost having to readjust it because it will slowly creep out of tension position with wear through the day. There is nothing from making sure the strap does not creep back through the loop once you adjust. It feels like the strap is held in place, but without a second tension loop, it just allows for the belt strap to creep through the buckle as you wear it.
Personally I still use either KORE, or my usual is Blue Alpha's "minimalist" belt. Because with it, while it does use a loop system, you "lock" it into position by velcroing it into place which keeps the belt from loosening.

An honest review that tells you EXACTLY pros and cons of this belt this whole video seems just like an advertisement because he literally didn’t say one true bad thing about it other than “oh you can’t carry a larger holster” like I wanna hear what it’s like to actually wear the thing sweat in it using it day to day putting it on every day what it’s like.

When customers ask about a good belt for CC we recommend Kore. Disclosure, we've been selling them in our gun shop & range store for 2 years now. From our experience it seems to be the best choice.
Kore is a great option. Definitely more sturdy which is why I say this is a light edc belt.

I've found the hardest part of carrying a weapon is finding a good comfortable and affordable belt that doesn't look like a duty style set up. I have gone through many types in the 40 or so years of carrying and can't say I've been completely satisfied with any of them. Some are better than others of course but .....
yeah I have had so many belts from ultra stiff to cruddy leather its tough finding that one perfect belt. I still remember my first riggers belt in the Army so bad by todays standards.

It’s actually a better belt for casual wear when you’re not carrying. I have one and I don’t care for the stretch.
Backed the Kickstarter campaign and did not intend to CC with it, but after running my G43X T1 Axis slim with it for a few months, I have to say it's quite amazing. Never had to readjust the size since the buckle keeps the sizing, and it holds the weight well. It worked fine with the belt clips that come with the T1, but I ended up switching to Ulticlips about a month ago, which is a pretty good combo as the belt keeps it tight against my body when I wear pants with belt loops, but since I go out in sweatpants quite a bit, having the ability to switch quickly is nice.

I have that belt from GL but not easy to adjust on the fly. I still like my Kore Essentials little more.

I gotta say I sent mine back. With the G17 + X300U and a plus 1 mag the stretchy ness of the belt really put a lot of pressure on my lower back after a long amount of time. If they reduced the stretch just a little bit and added a little more “padding” I think it’d be a much more viable option IMO. Thanks for this video homie!
Good to hear your experience. I mostly wore this with my 43x mos but I did run it with my new edc set up that I'll be doing a video on soon.

Did you try adjusting the size of the belt? I think the default sizing is set on the smaller side but is adjustable quite a bit.

I just got this belt and it handles everything edc. Best belt with an incredible buckle system. I've tried many different belts and this is the one I like the best, no complaints.
I wear this all the time still and love it. Just clean simple and effective.
I love this belt been using one for awhile now and you inspired me to do measurements. The belt is .09 inches (2.4mm) thick. The buckle is .37 inches (9.4 mm) thick. One thing to note if you wear Dickies it will fit the loops but it's tight.
I still run it all the time.
I've been using the Blue Alpha and the grip6. Blue Alpha makes a slim line without the cobra buckle that I was thinking of trying out but the price is $40 and no buckle. The GL seems nice but I think at that price point there are better options.

I've seen this belt advertised a bunch lately here on the tubes. By watching this video and from what I've seen on their ads I'm guessing carrying owb is a no go with this one as it's not rigid enough? Personally I love my Kore Essentials belt and Vedder just sent their new V3 in for review so we'll see how that one does. Thanks as always Mike
Yeah I would definitely say this is for subcompact or micro compact in the waistband carry only I would even attempt to carry outside the waistband with a full size

Back when I was overweight, a Kore belt did it for me. Now that I'm paper-thin it sends me to Print City. Giving this one a try!

I know the point is to be super thin but if they would double the material it would make this the ultimate EDC belt IMO. Mine is super comfortable to wear but there's just too much stretch to it. I'm constantly having to pull up my IWB shield+. If you have an easy moving job it may work better for you.
That might be a great idea for like the HD version.
Had mine for a little over a month and really like it compared to my Kore belt. Much more comfortable but definitely not great for heavier set ups. Does fine with my Hellcat but considering changing holsters. Mine currently has one large clip but I think the dual smaller clips would work better with this belt. Love the little bit of stretch it provides!
I have been wearing my mostly with the Bravo concealment holster in the 43 which is a great fit
Interesting. I started using comfort conceal belt. Which I use with sweat pants and sport shorts. It can hold up to two lightweight guns, and full size guns. I haven't tried putting three on it. I even wear mine loose. It does use velcro. made out of neoprene. It has anti-slide texture for locking into your clothes.
I have a hawgholster with ulticlip. laying down, sitting in car. very comfortable. The belt was designed for working out. I learn to use the ulticlip, right where the velcro attaches. Which will double as a buckle. So far, this summer. It has been my go to.
I've seen the ads about this pretty often. I'm a little bit more than tempted to get one for myself.
Its a solid option for the ultra slim set up with some give to it. I do wonder how long the elasticity will las but that can only be determined in time.

Just recently got my first pistol and now looking at belts lol. I really wanted to see a review of drawing from a holster with this belt. Some reviews love it for edc and some reviews hate it for edc. Opinions seem to vary greatly.
Light edc only man. Something like a 43x mos or glock 26 anything much bigger and you have to wear it pretty tight.
Qazse magnet belt on Amazon is similar design but cost $16 usd. Worth trying it for a good budget friendly alternative

Blue alpha slim edc is still my go to. The Velcro is loud when going to piss.

I sprung for a kore belt about this time last year and it has done well starting to loose a little rigidity but not terribly hard to change when you find something that works
Kore is a solid choice. All belts loose a bit of rigidity over time unless its one of those super thick duty style ones. If I get a couple of years out of a belt I wear everyday or several times a week I feel it has done its job

Kore is the def best all around "gun belt" in my world. I carry all kinds of guns from Glock42 up to full size 1911. I can owb, iwb and aiwb with spare mags, knife sometimes etc and it fits all my holsters. I can also instantly loosen my kore belt 1/2 inch to sit down or super tighten it 2" with gear when I need to- without ever unbuckling. No other belt I have tried does that- including this one.
Kore is a great belt but I find myself turning to this one a lot based on how thin it is .. But if I am carrying more than my 43x I go with one of the bigger belts either blue alpha , kore or the like.

The Knife is from colonel blades called the lowvz I think John at warrior poet sells them. As for the magnet I think as long as they are not magnetic to the rear or body side there are no issues.
Buckledown has been my choice for almost 10 years and now I'm anxiously awaiting my GL belt.

If anyone’s wondering the exact thickness of the belt is just under an 1/8” (it’s stiff and it stretches slightly)
The buckle is 3/8” thick but it looks like a quarter inch

Been looking at this belt for a while. How do you think the belt will do in effectively using a wing for pushing the pistol grip against the body? I run a Vedder light tuck as usual carry holster. Also, you should have way more subscriptions IMHO. Great video per usual!

My buddy has one of these along with his wedding ring. Seems like a decent edc belt for light carry. I think I'll stick to my alpha gear for my g19 but would definitely be a consideration for something smaller due to the stretch
Blue alpha hybrid is a great belt that one has been a go to fore me for a long time now.
@@TacticalConsiderations yes sir, it's a winner. Love it in the grey, nice change from the typical black. If you ever get another leather belt, Beltman belts are great. You can get them with an internal stiffener if you wish but the standard is great on its own. I used to use it as my edc but use it for work since I got the blue alpha.

Hey man.. Its good or light carry 43x style stuff. I still wear it constantly with my LAS ronin 3.0 G43x mos extra shield arms mag. That where I call the limit for the belt

That's a but much for it, in my opinion. Once you get into full size owb for me it wasn't stiff enough for my liking
I was interested until I saw how much it flexed and stretched. I don't want to have to swap belts to just put on a pistol. I've ran the nylon Kore gun belt for a few years and even though it's labeled as a gun belt, it EDC's just fine for me. Cheers!
Oh yeah Kore is a great option as well. This is a slim light carry or just everyday style of belt.

Two questions. Do you have to readjust the belt if you go from IWB conceal carry to not carrying at all? For a conceal carry of a compact, do you recommend this Groove Life belt or a Kore Essentials ratchet gun belt?
Ken I don't readjust the belt but I only iwb a slim or micro with it.. Something like a 19, especially with a sidecar style holster id say KORE.. The Groove is for slime or micros in my opinion.

you know that is a really good point the little hooks go in a fare amount so its not just the magnet .

I have no doubt that it would be a great casual belt. Mix and match as you please. My odd ball, off the wall question would be; Did you try a little bit of ‘run-n-gun’ CQB drills while prepared for lite EDC use. Come undone, ride over or twist the wrong way, over shift, loosen or loose your ‘modest’ EDC gear (pistol, clip, knife, or light). Thanks! Charles
Charles I wear the belt regularly for light carry only say like a 43x sized set up. I haven't really run around in it but I have done basic shooting drills on the range with it to test out how the draw would be

I currently wear the NexBelt for casual and everyday use when I carry, and a brown or black Kore belt for carry at church. The buckles on these other belts are quite bulky on a skinny guy.
I like how easy they are to adjust, but the super thin buckle on this belt might make me jump-ship for my EDC belt. The NexBelt is super stiff, which isn’t always comfortable.
This one appears to have great rigidity, but enough give to flex with movement.
How difficult is adjusting this belt?
Its a good choice for light edc like a 43x or something in that size range..

I wore it all summer and more since this video. I haven't had to re adjust except for weight loss. Its great for light carry like 43x mos which is what I used all summer.

I am using Nexbelt EDC carry belts. They work great. Looks like quality but seems way to flexible. I would not want the gun leaning forward, doesn't appear to have the necessary stiffness to help keep the grip in tight to the body.
Been wearing for a couple months its held fine but time will tell on the elastic

Have you ever tried a Grip6 belt? It is not marketed as a tactical belt/concealed carry belt, but i have found it works pretty well for me.
I think I have one coming in but haven't had one yet.

I got a Groove Belt a few months back. Simple and comfortable for every day USE. Notice I did not say every day CARRY. My personal experience, the belt is NOT rigid enough for the added weight of my M&P Compact or Glock 43X. The Groove Belt videos show the belt being extremely tough to fold - wholly inaccurate. Good looking belt for general every day use but would not recommend for every day carry.

I got sold on the GL belt because in commercial they made it seem as if it was fairly stiff, and the buckle was easy and simple. Unfortunately the rigidity is NOT there. This belt is designed for comfort and flexibility, and accomplishes that well, but like mentioned in this vid, you don’t want to overload it. That happens VERY quickly with this belt. Compression seems to be the major factor in keeping your holster in place with this belt. I only saw this vid because I’m 3 weeks put from receiving the GL belt looking for something better. Buy with caution folks.
Yeah some are trying to use it as a straight range belt. It's definitely not made for that. It's a light edc belt like I talked about

I love my grove belt.My only criticism
is the buckle finish is easily scratched.However to be fair I wear my shirt tucked in so the buckle is exposed.

To be a 100% honest with you you may want to look into the blue or kore essentials instead. I really think this is for subcompact or micro compact carry
IWB ONLY. If you try to use the Groove belt with an OWB, it rolls outward. Too much "twist" to the belt. With the ability to stretch AND twist, it will dump your gun with an OWB. With an IWB, it is phenomenal.
I only use it for IWB with 43x style and sizes maybe hellcat pro max.
Jukmo and grip6 are great. Grip6 just needs to be a size up for edc. Also grip6 is made in America so that’s a huge plus. The jukmo has a little stretch so it’s super comfortable for edc, especially when you sit, it’s stretches to account for the change in angle. Also it’s $17. Both belts are super strong and really thin. The grip6 is really thin and still retains. The jukmo is slightly thicker and I usually wear that for edc and use the grip6 for casual/slight edc. Super minimalistic too. Grip6 is only $35 too

Hey stupid question I'm a dude's wife and wanted to know Hes a bit overweight and my question is would the belt roll which is the problem we keeping running into other then the belts separating at the seams. Every so couple of months I'm forced to buy him new belts because they break down so fast it's not even a joke. I'm just looking for something more durable, and I think this might be it. Because if people thar use guns and other things on the belt to holster stuff say the belt holds well under stress. Then there's a big chance that for the regular guy that just uses the bell to hold his pants that should be OK I'm just looking for something more durable.
Hey the best option for him may be the blue alpha hybrid edc its really a tough belt with a stiff lining so its not going to have issues like normal belts from stores.

Off topic...what ‘portable or foldable’ work benches do u use for building P80’s? I have minimal room in the garage and want to pull it out when needed. Also, any recommendations on decent vises to use for tabletops/workbenches to hold frame kits while milling out? THX!
Sorry but I haven't used a full doubt workbench in many years because none of them are really that stable unless they are really large expensive and heavy
Another great video ! Got me thinking about getting one for edc , do you think this belt would have any problems holding a holstered (Tulster OATH) Glock 19 gen 5 ?
I would not recommend it for anything more than say a 43x, hellcat or 365.. I have found the 19 and above is ok but its not quite as stiff and I would like for those sizes.

Comfort of it. since it flexes with you.
I like my Caltech force steel core bullhide leather for edc. solid built, Ridgid for ccw ammo and no sag.
Sound like a stiff belt.

Did that same fold over stiffness test with mine and it folds over totally easy. Did they paid you not to try too hard? Its a decent belt I just dont carry wiht it.
Goove life doesn't even know my name. I carry with this belt regularly with zero issues or folding.
My question is: All things considered equal, do you prefer the GL or Blue Alpha?
for all types of carry IWB, OWB and duty holster the BA is superior for light edc the Groove is legit. Not really comparable in that way .

I bought a we the people holster and had to send it back because it was just hard to use hard to set up and sometimes painful to wear

For all us old school guys that still carry and use a compass, i try not to have anything thats magnetic or has magnetism on my body or gear. But it does look nice. JMHO

So what if your left handed and need the buckle on the opposite side? The design on the buckle will now be upside down (if it is a directional design), if the buckle not reversible. Do they have this choice?
The buckle can be released by either hand, weather the logo is upside down or not doesn't impair function.
I wear Trayvax Cinch belt. Not sure you’ve ever wore/reviewed it. It’s amazing. At $30 you can’t beat it. Never had a single issue for the 2+ years I’ve had it. I’d like to try other EDC belts but why waste money I feel like when I have a product that is tried and true for me.
I had one when they first came out I am not sure where it went. Trayvax makes good stuff as well.
