These are great - much more realistic. I have looked on line for a few weeks, for dog training videos, and ALL are treat based. I like that yours are a combination - and you don't rely on treats alone.

I wish more owners would do this. So often do I get invited in only to be molested and overwhelmed often followed by an insult when I am non receptive. No end of clothing dirtying/damage and broken friendships due to a careless lack of control and respect for boundaries.

Yes, 100% dog won't jump on guests anymore.
    You TIED HIM UP!!!
Geez, tie dog up is the fix? This is the perfect training video for you.

Good ideas, but my problem is my dog jumping on people we meet outdoors. She does not jump on me. I can't tether her or send her to her bed in these situations.

Thank you. I have little grandkids and haven’t been able to get our big breed puppy to stop jumping on them.

I have a mini standard Australian standard….he is still a few months old but he is a biiig puppy, everytime someone was coming to pick him up (rehome him) he would jump on everybody and there kids, scratching them up and multiple people said never mind he is too excited and would hurt there kids 😢 it ruined me so I kept him and he listens to me but once people are around it’s like I’m a nobody

But what do you do if your dogs barks constantly while being teathered?

This has been a long term problem with a relative I visit. She opens the front door and I get attacked ..and she just laughs…and thinks its cute. Many times I have a handful of luggage. Fortunately after years of this she made some friends that have dogs that have confronted her about how rude it is. She wouldn’t listen to me that I wanted to come into her home and put my things down and giver a hug. She also has a tendency to talk too much and when its the other persons turn to respond in the conversation she looks a way and starts loving on the dog petting and cooing. It was so weird!! It has really damaged our connection because she wont hear any non confrontational feedback. She just responds with, Oh you don’t have an animal so what do you know.

Seems more than the dog she needs a training on how to be around other living beings. Solution for the society is to put her in a cave in a remote mountain top and curled up in your sofa and watch a movie and enjoy your life.

Except my dog would also be barking like crazy preventing us from talking.

This is nice, BUT! it doesn't show a method to prevent dog jumping on a guest without the aid of the owner. This does not show how to prevent the jumping when you have no leash, maybe no collar (and why would you have those as a guest).

Patricia: yes! You are 99.9% correct in your review. The only bump was you stating "nice video".
I wanted a "how to train..." not a "tie dog up solution"

@@sqrleyyeah, I was being nice. His suggestions are good, but yes they're not what I want or need. I suspect they aren't what you need either.
