Love your training vids because you show everything like when a dog that is ramped up a bit fails to respond to their most basic command of sit. Just had company and my 5.5 month old tends to lose her hearing when guests arrive. That leads to Sit, sit, sit, pepper sit. Hey, sit! That is bad because now I am teaching her she can sit when she wants to rather than when cued to sit. I need to be prepared next time, as you are in this video, to be able to better control the training opportunity.

Can you make a video about keeping them calm and obedient when greeting other dogs or when walking past as my 6month old pup forgets her training and won’t stop pulling

I found that when I was training my puppy, it worked really well that when we saw people walking towards us I would pre-emptively get the dog in the position I wanted them in before the interaction happened. so then if the people just kept walking on by then she learned she didn't get to meet those people. and then if they DID want to meet my pup, she was already sitting and I didn't have to wrangle her in.

I think what's frustrating too is with a hunting dog, you don't want to teach heel and walking on leash too early and squash their natural ability in the field, but you may still need to have them on a leash or take them with you out to public places and they're acting a fool and you look like a bad owner bc you haven't taught them yet.

Ok so now I need a well behaving kid to train this with.. :D I have staffy and jumping when greeting people is serious issue. However, theres only like 5% of adult people also that know how to greet dog right. Mostly it is just complete mess even with my friends, need to educate people like in this example. I just tought my staffy to walk on heel in 10mins so he learns and is very smart, but very energetic and loves people too much.

I got a GSP. I gave up on him doing commands and circus tricks. I just wanted him near me in front as I walked in a field or woods for exercise. He was on his own basically. I did use a training collar. But I fogot to charge it, forgot the handheld controller, etc. I figured he needed about 3 miles a day. The only thing I learned. Are you torturing your dog or training him. And he will only come if its for hugs and kisses.
When I got pissed at him, I would hide and be quiet. He would gallop down the trail full speed with his nose to the ground. Scenting me out. The dog always knew where I was and wanted to be with me. The best training I ever did was hide and seek and ignore him and keep walking on a trail...lol

Please advice on how to teach your dog to not scratch the door, she is fine when left alone, when we are home she wants to be where we are and scratches the door to get the attention to open it so she can be where we are. Much Thanks!

Do you have kids? If you do I bet they are well behaved if you apply the same methods - not the easy lead though 😜
