Daren this is one of your most entertaining videos interviews with a Tesla owner that you have done. It was great that you were able to show him a way to expand his enjoyment of his model Y! The cost breakdown and mods are really great (for Singapore) that I hope will encourage more people there to order their model Y especially to take advantage of the limited time free charging!
Great video Daren and Amit! You guys looked very comfy Tesla camping in the car park there! I already got a preview of the crazy costs of Tesla ownership in Singapore when Daren came on my podcast last week. We compared Japan (where I'm based) and Singapore, and I was shocked by the differences! Anyway that will go live on May 10th, hope you guys check it out! Thanks again Daren, next time you're in Japan let's take a drive in my Model 3! 🙂
Great Video Daren and Amit! Your running costs are amazing! Speaking of Camp Mode...there are many custom made Tesla Mattresses on Tao Bao! I have not yet done the "Sleep in the Model Y" yet but it is definitely a luxurious possibility!
Hey Steven. Teslas are too new in Singapore to be outside of warranty (only launched for 2 years). In US, many of my friends sell their Teslas (for a new one) after the 4 year warranty period.

I like the video, thanks for sharing. I've test driven a Model Y, and it was amazing. But just so you know - EV's aren't environmentally friendly if they're being charged by service providers that do not use renewable energy in their supply chain. If the electricity is still generated form fossil fuels - which it is at the moment, then we're just lying to ourselves. Several reports have come up and also questioned the end product and supply chain of batteries - where slave labour and child labour amongst corruption and resources (nickel mining, etc.) being extracted is leading us to environmental harm and degradation. Now whilst I think mass adoption will reduce the costs - the question that needs to be asked is this then, "who's absorbing the costs?". Are the coats now socio-political, or not? Whilst EV's have been touted as the future, I think to just assume that buying one means you're making the world a better place, is halarious - I suggest a serious introspection of of truly knowing the supply chain status and engagements these companies are engaged with. If we have time to spfialise on the app and in the EV communities - I suggest allocating some time to keep these EV making companies responsible in how they engage the environment.
Yes, it would be around $266k Canadian Dollars. Singapore has by far the world’s highest car prices due to heavy government taxation to encourage use of public transport.
@@DarenYoong Yea, I guess that would encourage me alright haha. No way I would ever spend a quarter of a million on a vehicle. I've got the Cybertruck on order and I am sure that will be over 100k which I already think is insane.

Hope to see you in Tokyo next spring, James! 🌸
But i am worried when i see so many people selling their teslas in the used market ... what's up?
Many people have been upgrading to the refreshed Model 3!
The section on charging in Dubai was useful for me!
Thank you Daren & Amit.
Happy to hear that, Bernard! All the best with your move there.

Did you do any tinting especially the sun roof? Is it hot in the SG weather? Will tinting void the Tesla warranty?
I think you should also do one that is outside warranty. You have to go back to the agent for repairs right..

@@DarenYoong I suppose that's one of the concerns of many. And here in SG, it don't make financial sense to sell so soon. 🙂
Can share the contact for soft close , auto frunk and swivel screen ?

Good suggestions on the mods!
The auto frunk is the biggest life changer and convenience!
Wow 1.38% in 2022? What a time

About the price of a 1-2 room HDB, gosh..😂
Am I missing something, is this 264k Canadian or is my currency converter broken?

Put this into perspective a Toyota Corolla is $200k.
2k views in 9 hours wow! More people are curious about ownership! 🔥And the outro 😎
