I just bought the 10kg model of the series 6. A friend loves Bosch and so I thought I'd give them a try. Your review has locked in my decision - thank you!
Just bought this, my first front loader and this video was very helpful thank you. Also set my mind at rest that I have bought a good machine. As stated very helpful video.
@itscryptolife9256 in the end I did not after watching one bang itself to bits during a spin wash and this wasn't with service mode or any nonsense like that.
Consumers' Institute NZ gave this machine (the 10kg/5kg version) top marks (along with a Miele that cost more than twice the price) for washing, rinsing and drying. The only bad points they gave it were: Can't be stacked. Can't be wall-mounted. No internal light. Now why would you want to stack a washer/dryer? And why would you want to wall mount a washer/dryer? As for the internal light, I agree it would be handy. My 30-year-old top loader Fisher & Paykel didn't (obviously) need one. My first job (after the wash without clothes that you have to do) was to dry what the machine said was a 5kg load that had come from the F&P. The machine told me I had 5kg of washing (its maximum) and I chose intensive, which took two hours. The clothes were lovely and dry when I took them out.
I'm 3 years late to your review, about to purchase the machine - is it still treating you well? Review was very helpful thank you very much. Quick question, how often do you normally drain the bottom tube thing and the clean the filter. Thanks!
Thanks for taking the time and making a video. I am just deciding if I should get the Series 4 or 6, I can get the 4 for 100eur less but am wondering if that is negligible when buying a device you are going to use for many a year (hopefully) and very often.
@@papibosch2581 in the end I went for Series 6. Works well, but has a few programs less than Electrolux of the similar price range for example. Well I still have to go trough all the different programs to feel the real Bosch power :D
I bought a similar model but not happy at all. The programs on Bosch machines are really stupid. Most of them don't let you do large loads. Also the machine doesnt tell you when you have overloaded it and it wont add enough water to wet all the clothes. It also doesnt have a soak function. I dont know why they have so many fancy programs when it would be much less restrictive to let you choose the temperature, agitation speed, spin speed, and washing time manually.
Hi Papi, thank you so much for your very useful information on the Bosch washing machine. I have a new Bosch Series 6 machine and the only problem I find with it is the compartment where the fabric softner goes in always ends up still full of water when the machine is finished washing. Perhaps any idea why? Have a great day.
What is the model number ? I’m looking at series 6 too. Great advice re the powder and the child lock - thanks. Like the drain pipe too instead of water gushing out on draining ✔️
I just bought the series 4 can't remember the exact number, it's got a black door 9kg etc, I've had it a month but every time I use it I have to dry out the powder drawer as it is so wet underneath with condensation and on higher temp settings the condensation drips down the front of drawer, is this normal or should I get on to Bosch about this, my old Bosch didn't do this, £500 spent and I would have my old machine back in a heartbeat!
Hi is your fabric coditioner draining properly? Because mine doesnt and maybe you can teach me what to do for the fabric care compartment to drain properly.
I use tumble sheets now for towels and think nothing else needs fabric conditioner- I hang or line dry whenever I can. But that’s me. I used to run a B&B though 😂
Hi Papi, I'm considering this Bosch but I'm worried that the cycle times might be a bit long. How have you found them? For our house the 'mixed' load program would get used the most... the info booklet says it takes 1 hour at 40 degrees to wash 4 kg. If you had a heavier load, say 5kg, would the machine still do the Mixed cycle? cheers
Hello. Yes it will wash but you will be shortening the machine's life and the cycle will take longer and the wash quality will be affected. I would suggest that you use the cotton function with speed perfect, that takes 1kg more than the mix load
I have used this brand also but how to avoid the clothes too creases after wash and dry. I have tried "cotton" and "cotton eco" programme but at the end the clothes too creases.
Help - Can you say how to add an extra spin only at end please? I use the quick cycle. Not rinse. Trying to dry indoors in winter without tumble dryer, want things as dry as poss. Thanks
Having decided on purchasing this model, thought I would check on the TH-cam reviews and you have sold me. Thanks for the honest and detailed review.
I found your demonstration very helpful. I have just ordered a series 6 Bosch 9kg. Thanks.

My pleasure Jenny. I have a load on now, and one in my Bosch dishwasher :)
We just ordered the series 6, I’m excitedly waiting for it.
I have been looking between a Samsung or a Bosch 10 kg washing machine. I asked my son to order the Bosch, I am glad I did. Thank you good review.

I've had this for 2 years now and very happy with it 😊 I had to laugh when you said about the hips, it's normally my backside that is the culprit 😅
Haha. I'm sure that is a good thing :)
This year I’m getting a Bosch serie 8 with a jet system and it does spin washes too. It’s the top of the line machine from Bosch.
did you get it?

im struggling to decide what to get at the moment im stuck between Samsung and Bosch

Always go for the latest model. older ones are cheaper but maybe you can't get the parts later.

Thanks for posting that much better than struggling with the instruction book. Ha ha 😂 learnt a lot.
you convinced me to buy it
Did you cut the plug off to bring up through the worktop,be careful because doing that voids the warranty thx for the review good job
ordered one cheers for the review much appreciated

Sorry not to have replied sooner. Check the tab that goes in the little compartment. Is it blocking the water?

Serie 6 EcoSilence Drive
Thanks for your video. It's honest and useful.
How about setting of the cloths prefer " cold hand wash and do not blend" ?

The exit hole is very small, so sticky conditioner will not drain properly. Try diluting it a bit.
Hi there, I'm struggling with what time to put it on. I had it on cotton used 2 units for 1 hr and a half. How do I use power saving
